Open Watchers, Groupies And Partygoers

Ashka returned the other's smile when Ramona accepted her offer. It was always nice to make connections with other Pavilions, especially those outside of the Amethyst Clan with which she usually had less contact. Inviting the Silvertongue to follow her with a hand motion, Ashka walked through the crowd towards her family. When she reached the large circle of the Windrunner members, welcoming voices rose and inquisitive eyes turned to the two Drykas accompanying the redhead. Noticing the general expectation, Ashka cleared her throat and introduced her newly met companions.
"Everyone, this is Ramona Silvertongue, Diamond Clan, and her brother Bhug. They will join us to watch the horse race."

Her words were met by a murmur of approval and soon Ashka's mother, Iris, as well as others in the Pavilion came to present themselves to the pair. But before a conversation started, Toril steered them all closer to the starting point of the second challenge, eager to get the best view possible. The crowd was dense and it seemed that all of Endrykas had decided to try and get as close as possible, creating a few tensed situations between groups; fortunately no such thing was happening near the Windrunners and their companions and everybody found a more or less comfortable spot in the grass.

Iris sat close to Ramona and her daughter and bent over a little to exchange a few words with the Diamond Clan girl.
"One of my sons is competing in the Triathlon," she explained with pride and hope. "He did well at the archery but riding is were most our strength belongs, I have faith he will race better than most." A large smile beamed on her delicate features as she spoke of her second-born. "What about you Ramona, who are you supporting in this game ?"

"I don't know. I'm mostly here for Bhug right here."Ramona said with a smile, and patted him on the head. He frowned, but Ramona didn't notice. She knew how much he wanted to see the games today, all of the other kids were talking about it so thst of course made him want to come along too. Which also forced Ramona's hand, she didn't mind getting out, if she didn't she wouldn't have met Ashka and her Pavillion.

"Though, I've always been fond of the Watchmen from Diamond Clan. They're trained to ride well, I'm sure one of them participated this year." Ramona said cordially and watched as Iris' second-born prepared for the next event- horse racing.

"What is it that your Pavillion specialises? I haven't met very many Drykas outside of my own Clan, unless you visit the Warstorm Pavillion, but it seems like a good idea to me to make as much connections I can. Ashka had told me of her younger siblings, perhaps Bhug could hang out sometime? Or even myself?"Ramona said with a smile to Iris.

Iris nodded approvingly at the mention of the boy; of course a Drykas mother could only encourage the idea of caring for the child's wishes and letting him socialize. "That's very nice of you, support, responsability. It's also a good occasion to enjoy the city. Everyone is celebrating!"
Ashka and a few more Windrunner turned their attention to Ramona when she spoke of the Watch and its members, and Melen, although she seemed very busy preventing her toddler from running off in the crowd, beamed a bright, prideful smile at the Diamond Clan girl's mention. Ashka jumped back into the conversation enthusiastically.
"I'm sure there are many of them participating, after all they are some of the best of Endrykas for fighting and riding!"

The loud call of a horn caused everyone's eyes to turn to the race's starting line. It was the signal for participants to make their last preparations and get ready for the countdown. The redhead and her family watched, excited to see the challenge begin. She spotted her brother on the right side of the line, verifying the straps of his yvas while his red-dun stallion stamped the ground, eager to start. A large smile stretched on the girl's lips as she observed him, admiring of his courage and confidence.

A polite question arose from Ramona's side, and Ash brought her attention back onto her guest.
"We work with horses, we raise and train and trade them with other Pavilions and other cities. The Thunderherd Pavilion is our business partner, I'm sure you've heard of them, fame, query ?"

Iris also followed the conversation and answered Ramona's interest with a kind smile.
"Your brother is welcome at our pavilion whenever he wants. Usually you'll find Laena or Haliwe – both women greeted her with smiles – at our place, looking after the young ones." Ashka's mother then pointed at the children playing in the grass or watching the competition nearby. "And now that we met, you are our guest as well. You're welcome to come by if you want to trade or if your Pavilion needs help," she added with a gentle tone.

What a wonderful little thread! I enjoyed watching Ramona and Ashka get to know each other a little bit amongst the craziness of the Triathlon, and found the efforts Ashka made to offer a chance for Bhug to make new friends very sweet.
