IC News travels slowly in Mizahar. Fortunately there is a constant stream of news from around campfires, from caravan to caravan and from merchants to merchants. Within this forum lies the best of the best of this talk. Also, within this forum, OOC news from the staff and players can be found. This forum requires all posts to be 'approved' by a Founder before they are displayed. So if you post within, be patient. Your post did display - it simply will not show to everyone until approved as actual 'news'. Please keep all Introductions, Status Updates, and various other discussions in their appropriate forums and leave this area for game news!

Introducing June's Featured Thread!

This June's Thread Winner was picked by Siiri. The following is her review of her choice.

ImageEver since my PC ran into her in the Hai quest, I've become intrigued by the woman called Savra. A human, of Benshiran descent, small of stature and quite diminutive by Myrian standards, she had stared and even challenged a warrior such as Siiri openly and without fear. Just as Siiri knows herself, who and what she is, so does Savra. She calls herself a prophet, though of whose god, I never did find out, but whoever it is must be the opposite of Yahal.

By that alone, Savra would have made an excellent nemesis for Siiri. A pity there's very little of her stories to be found. Had she found time to improve her skills, I would have loved for my PC to cross blades with her. Perhaps her player is one of those who have left the site, or more likely, she numbers among the many of the neglected ones.

It's fortunate that I did find this little gem that centers around her. I present to you Carrion, a most interesting thread for this most interesting of characters. It's not so much a single story but a collection of scenes in her early life that gives the reader glimpses on who Savra is, her hopes and dreams, and what she, at the time in the story not even at the cusp of womanhood yet, is truly capable of. Had she been given more time to be developed as a character, Savra would have frozen with fear the hearts of many a PC in this game had they the misfortune to run across her.

The thread is a journey, both for her and the reader. Travel it with me and let us see the world of Mizahar through Savra's eyes.

I read this thread a week or so ago in my meanderings through the forum and was much impressed. Congrats, Savra! And thank you, Siiri, for finding it.

Congrats Savra! I also read the thread a while back, or at least part of it, and liked the simplicity and atmosphere! You totally deserve this award. :)
