I created something sort of along those lines a while back, the Character Dreams thread as sort of an experimental thing, but I will definitely try to flesh it out and make something that players will actually want to use more.

HDR Photography

I'm totally and hopelessly in love with it. I'll never go back to normal shots. Seriously. Why did I not know about this before? Tragic. Completely tragic. Now if I can just find great cave HDR shots (and a photographer willing to let me use them) for WR we'll be all set.

Yeah, I just looked at that. I dunno, it makes the images look unrealistic to me. It's beautiful, but I've never seen anything that actually looks that way. That's just my preference though.. its still looks awesome.

Epic. It makes them look epically stunning. Think on it this way, Ron. Our eyesight is relatively poor in the scheme of things. Just imagine how we'd see the world if we could process light better. Photographers are now doing this. It's kind of mind blowing. Someday through technology maybe we'll be able to see as an Eagle can see... miles away a tiny mouse on the ground.

So.. I was trying to come up with some sort of argument. That it wasn't real, that it was computer generated, that we can't really know if that's what it would actually look like, blah, blah, blah. Then I remembered the day I first switched from glasses to contacts. I supposedly had 20/20 vision with both, but when I walked out of that doctors office and saw the world for the first time through my contacts it was like I'd been seeing the world in black and white. Everything was so bright, so colorful, it hurt my eyes and yet I couldn't stop looking. I sat in the gray concrete parking lot staring at the brown building and my brown van and black tires and my tan skin and my black and white Nike shoes and didn't leave for half an hour. I remember seeing the sky, and the trees and all of that and it was like seeing for first time. I had glasses my entire life until I turned 20. I remember that day like it was today. I don't notice how beautiful even the color gray can be anymore.. but thinking on that, I can't say that's not what the world might look like through eagle eyes.

And.. I totally went on a ramble there. Point is, no argument from me. Epic pic. Though I still love the gray-scale look for a lot of my pics.
