Ayda,
I love your enthusiasm and I am very happy to see an Akalak Ethaefal. It is a great addition to the community and I hope you stay with us for a long time. If you have any questions or are just seeking for some brainstorming or help on your character feel free to PM me.
That being said, a strictly homosexual Akalak would be considered Dishonorable in my opinion.... and most definitely would be considered dishonorable by Imass.
In Akalak culture, Honor and Duty are one in the same. As an Akalak your Duty is to preserve and expand our dwindling race. It is rare and difficult for an Akalak baby to be born, so it's imperative that each member of the race do his Duty in the bed to produce offspring. An Akalak failing Duty would automatically be considered dishonorable, because in that society honor and duty are one in the same.
If an Akalak is homosexual, in order to save face, he would need to produce children regardless of his preference. In my opinion, even if a homosexual akalak fulfilled his duty, he would still be treated badly by his hetreo brothers (especially as teens and young men I think they would heckle). In the end though they would be considered honorable and that's all that counts in the long run.
If an Akalak chooses to forsake his duty because he is attracted to other men, it would be the equivalent of him cursing his people and throwing away all honor, pride, and duty down the drain. In my opinion and undoubtedly Imass', if a homosexual akalak choose this path it would be considered backstabbing. Imass would certainly seek such Homosexual akalak traitor and challenge them to combat in the arena. I have very little doubt that every other akalak would do the same.
In conclusion, good luck surviving in Riverfall if your PC decides to forsake his duty. Taking such deviant Akalak to other cities might work, but it would be difficult in Riverfall.
Thanks for reading,
Imass
P.s. If anyone sees any wrong information or misinterpretations please tell me and I'll fixit licketly quick. I am only typing a response off top head based on what I have heard before.
Edit: I forgot to add one thing. What I wrote here just scratches the surface. There are many different implications you must consider when playing a homosexual Akalak, but I wont even try to type them up here. I would suggest you get together with a moderator and make sure everything is fleshed out proper with the lore for your akalak.
