31st of Spring

Conditions in Sunberth seemed to deteriorate impossibly so in the aftermath of the storm, what with the great conglomeration of homeless people living out in tents, or the fact that with many of the buildings leveled things seemed to be busier than usual. As always though, crime was prevalent among the scum, and today would be no different, and that Darian was counting on as he headed towards his employer with careful steps and watchful eyes. With desperation running high he could hardly afford to take a knife in the stomach while simply walking about and so he carried his longsword openly and within easy reach in case he needed to put it to good use quickly. No doubt, he'd have to anyways before this day was over with.

Crossing behind the canvas backing of one rather large tent, he rounded up on Callik's campsite and a familiar face. "Darian, it's been too long though you should know I have little work for you until I get more stock" Callik said, spreading his hands wide in a placating manner, but he knew the man too well to think him subservient.

"Cast it from thought good Callik, I actually come to purchase from what little stock you do have, and to introduce you to an associate of mine with an interesting offer" He said, painting on a disarming smile. Darian was in a fine mood today, no little achievement for him and mostly because his morning had gone better than he had hoped. Following Callik into his tent, he took a good look at the three starving slaves within the canvas tent before taking his seat on a stool. No doubt his associate would be arriving shortly.

I have retired Darian, and I apologize for any inconveniences this has caused with anyone threading with this character. Feel free to NPC him in any threads that he is involved in if that is of course ok with the moderator. Again, I am sorry for any inconveniences.

Pondering which innocent should be corrupted (Rayage)

Rayage found himself again practicing his glyphs. It seemed his mind was bursting with new and improved symbols the likes he had never thought of before. The glyphs were growing easier to draw now; it took him a little less time to draw them. He was seeing improvement, that was for sure, but it still took him a while to draw them. Now, he was practicing as he was walking, drawing them with ink on his arm. Every glyph though seemed to run into each other, not by design, but by consequence of walking and gravity pulling the ink down and around his arm. That in itself prompted him to use less of this ink, because he was almost sure it would be hard to procure in the state which Sunberth is in right now.

Squiggles, crosses, triangles, shapes of all sizes and lines with no direction that was what he was drawing. Yes, he was going to get good at this discipline once and for all, dangnabbit. He was sure of this fact, for with practice comes betterment, not perfection. Nothing is ever perfect, but one can sure get close to that impossible dream. That is all one can hope for when they wished for the impossible.

Having memorized the way to the tent which Darian spoke of earlier today he made his way almost half-mindedly there. Half paying attention to where he was going and half absorbed in what he was doing, drawing glyphs. His foot would then catch something, and he would tumble, only to half way fall before catching himself, cursing because he messed up the glyph he was working on. He looked at the mess of lines and ink on his arm, half dry, and he waved it before letting the cloak sleeve drop on it again. There was enough drawing glyphs for right now.

Besides, he was here. Looking at the tent he announced his presence and then entered giving a both Darian and the man a look before looking at the two merchandise which was for sell. We have to start somewhere, no? Speaking up he looked at the man, "You must be Master Callik. I am Rayage." he introduced himself, "Ive come to discuss with you a proposition, if you have the patience." he said again looking from the man to the assumed merchandise.
