31st of Spring
Conditions in Sunberth seemed to deteriorate impossibly so in the aftermath of the storm, what with the great conglomeration of homeless people living out in tents, or the fact that with many of the buildings leveled things seemed to be busier than usual. As always though, crime was prevalent among the scum, and today would be no different, and that Darian was counting on as he headed towards his employer with careful steps and watchful eyes. With desperation running high he could hardly afford to take a knife in the stomach while simply walking about and so he carried his longsword openly and within easy reach in case he needed to put it to good use quickly. No doubt, he'd have to anyways before this day was over with.
Crossing behind the canvas backing of one rather large tent, he rounded up on Callik's campsite and a familiar face. "Darian, it's been too long though you should know I have little work for you until I get more stock" Callik said, spreading his hands wide in a placating manner, but he knew the man too well to think him subservient.
"Cast it from thought good Callik, I actually come to purchase from what little stock you do have, and to introduce you to an associate of mine with an interesting offer" He said, painting on a disarming smile. Darian was in a fine mood today, no little achievement for him and mostly because his morning had gone better than he had hoped. Following Callik into his tent, he took a good look at the three starving slaves within the canvas tent before taking his seat on a stool. No doubt his associate would be arriving shortly.
