The Walk of the Lost (Open)

Postby Taithrosa Eldytia on May 31st, 2010, 5:52 am

Taithrosa raised and eyebrow at the sudden arrival of the Akalak. He was slightly amused, but didn't show it. Yes he was akalak in appearance and had some of there more useful traits, but he wasn't purely akalak. He was a fallen son of Leth, a Ethaefal.

He tilted his head his eyes a silverish color. More then that they seemed to have a depth and wisdom that was strange to see in anyone. He turned and looked at the others who joined the group. Pauseing to look each of them in the eyes. The deepth and wisdom focusing on each of them.

"It is a pleasure to meet you all." He said in his deep soothing voice, his celestial accesent coming out creating almost a yearning for something higher in its tones. "I am Taithrosa Eldytia." He didn't have any problems giving his name. "I am surprised and pleased to meet so many new people." His expression wasn't one that showed he was ready to fight, but was curious about each of them. He turned to his "brother" akalak. "I think it would be better to exchange words first." He said with a smile and a wink. "Unless of course someone would like a friendly contest of strength, but I think that would be better done off the streets." He laughted. "Again it is a pleasure, Aedia, Crow and Vakya."

The Walk of the Lost (Open)

"Eh?"

Aren tilted his head along with his odd acquaintance. The man really didn't seem to have any desire to fight. He would have thought that another Akalak would have been just as stifled in a place like this, but that didn't seem to be the case.

Now that his exuberance had dulled, Aren was free to notice the crowd that had gathered around themselves. Armed individuals, shady looking ones... a kid?

"Words? Oh!" Feeling a bit embarrassed that he had let his boredom and surprise get the better, he tried his best to seem his age in front of so many who must have been much younger. "My apologies... manners was never one of my mother's principal lessons."

Standing up straight, coughing his throat, and trying his best to maintain a serious face, he added another introduction to the pot, "I am Aren Anazasz. And no, there isn't a problem here, sir---" Aren could have sworn that only a local law keeper would have tried to interfere in what might have been an argument between Akalaks, but when he looked at the man, it certainly didn't seem like that was the case.

"Anyway, good to meet so many armed souls in this place." An almost wicked looking smirk accompanied that statement, before Aren turned back to Taithrosa, nodding his head. "Such a contest would be welcomed truly, before my firsts turn into those of a human." He laughed wryly, hopeful that one of the humans present would take umbrage and decide to join the "contest".

"I would suggest Stormhold training grounds to hold that contest," said Wys with a smirk,"I won't participate in barehanded fighting, but I can judge it."

They found find a way to do this some other way if Wys pulled rank. No, this looks like it will be an entertaining night, and the night is still young.

"So long as this doesn't turn too ugly, the Knights shouldn't interfere with whatever you are doing. So long as you have each other's consent.

The Walk of the Lost (Open)

Postby Aedai on June 1st, 2010, 7:21 pm

Aedai crossed his arms, he did not like to partake in violence only if it was necessary. His mother taught him to be passive and his father only taught him how to use a weapon. He didn't mind sparing, but competition he did. He shrugged his shoulders, Should be interesting enough to watch.

The one who said his name was Crow, Aedai had his doubts that he was anything regular. Intervening into something that didn't concern him and suggesting to fight where the knights practiced no doubt. Aedai waved the thought away, it didn't matter. The ones that peeked his curiosity the most were the blue looking humans. He wanted to know who they were, and then there was the other person that appeared from no where. Vakya his name was, people just kept popping up. Strangers, curious strangers at that.

He wasn't surprised if someone else popped in to see what all the fuss was about. Crow had suggested he would judge a contest of fighting, "I would rather stay out of it but I would watch." He had nothing else to do so it wouldn't be much of a waste of time.

Taithrosa blinked wondering who had managed to get dragged into this. Then again he suspeced that his joke had been taken a bit to litteral. He looked around and shrugged. "We can certianly have one there." He said looking at the other Akalak. He wondered how old he was, and then remembered that he himself had only been on Mizahar for only some days.

He realized something then. While still appearing as an Akalak, he had the wisdom and memories of a thousand life times including his time spent in the heavens. Comments like fist becoming like a humans wouldn't occur to him anymore because well he remember, if only vaguly one having been human. It was defently a strange relization but one he made none the less.

"Well if everyone would like to see a friendly fight." His accented voices emphasid friendly. He wasn't hear to damange or humilitate anyone. But he wasn't opposed to a friendly combate. He did notice that the shy young man who he had first started talking to seemed interested. He looked at the man and said. "Don't worry. It is just a friendly combat, and if any bones get broken I can fix them."

Just the thought of a little sparring acted as a sort of stress relief for him. Maybe it was his mother's influence, as the only time she hadn't bothered him about something or other was when he had been in training.

Turning to Crow, Aren gave him a little smirk. "Yeah, don't worry... our kind is not as fragile as yours." Still hopeful the stranger would join the contest, the young man (by Akalak standards) hadn't given up on trying to draw him into it just yet. That sword, and that cloak, and that bulk sticking out from under it were just too interesting.

"Show us to this training ground you mentioned, then."

"Yeah, don't worry... our kind is not as fragile as yours."

"At least our kind has women," Wys said said with a friendly smirk,"very well, it is in Stormhold, close to barracks. Scratch some squires-and please leave those guys alone-there shouldn't be many people up there," he said as he started walking towards the castle. Wys recognized the bait, one of the Akalaks wanted him to be more than just a judge. Barehanded brawling wasn't his thing and he would not raise his blade against someone innocent from his point of view. At least innocent for now.

"Ouch, low blow." The fact that the stranger felt the need to retort told Aren that he was probably getting to the man. Regardless, he couldn't help but chuckle at the comment.

"Squires... those are knights in training, right? Shame. I haven't had occasion to practice my weapon in a while." With a forlorn sigh, Aren took to following Crow. He'd have to make do with his fists.

He followed silently behind Crow, I can't believe his parents named him after an animal. The one named Taithrosa turned to him before he also started to follow behind Crow. "You fix bones? Are you a healer Taithrosa?" He asked while his curiosity slowly rose to his head. He wondered if Taithrosa knew anything about Medicine. My mother would be happy I got acquainted with a healer or at least she won't scold me about going out and getting social, he thought to himself.

At the mention of Human, fragile, and squires, Aedai's head was full with questions. He didn't want to look dumb so he didn't bother to ask what the two blue men were. He knew from the small time he spent walking around that a Squire was a sort of servant to a Knight.

Taithrosa was particularly phased by the mans comment about the lack of woman. For starters Taith wasn't actually an Akalak, and his race had whole other issues, and the Akalaks hadn't ever had woman so it was at best a weak insult.

He looked over at the human with him his silver eyes curious as they began to walk towards the citadel. "Yes actually I am a healer. I am new and still have much to learn but I do enjoy medicine."
