Lynes is the name and I'm glad to be here. I've posted a character sheet prior to posting this and would love some feedback. First site I've been on with such depth to it and am glad I have joined. My role playing skill is not faulting though and I can't wait to get into it. Any tips any one wishes to offer me are welcome of course and invites are even better. Can't wait to talk to every single one of you.

Also guys, where should I start out?

Names Lynes.

Hi Lynes! Welcome to Mizahar. I only say this when I mean it: totally love your name dude. Its got a catchy English style to it.

Your CS is interesting! I only see one major problem with it: 17 is really old for a wolf. Remember that Kelvics age the same as their animal aspect. At 1 year old, he'd be the equivalent of an 18 year old human. At 17 years, he'd be an old man. Kelvics have pretty short life spans. Kinda tragic.

Also, I think you might pick "unarmed combat" instead of shifted combat. Unarmed applies to both forms. Someone help me out here. Is shifted combat a skill? I've not heard of it, but I could be wrong.

Oh! And be sure to link your CS in your account profile, through your control panel, so it shows up in the side bar like mine does.

Since Lynes is from Syliras, you might start in any of the cities closest to there. Have a look at the world map for reference. Search the wiki for "map", and you should see a result for "map of the cities of Mizahar".

I just want to add my two cents to back Lazslo here. I've roleplayed a kelvic for a bit, so I know about this one especially!

The skill unarmed combat applies to both forms. A wolf's teeth and nails are body parts, and not counted as weapons...although lethal. :P You're still "unarmed"! Shifted combat is not a skill.

An alternative is looking at "hunting." It applies to many cases, but I always treat the hunt itself as the hunting skill, and the combat as its own thing, you know?

A personal note on your intro title, because i'm a Nazi like this: "Names Lynes." should be "Name's Lynes." As in "[The] [Name is] Lynes." :D But yea, Nazi stuff, don't mind me.

Feel free to come to chat if you have further questions, or to ask the CS Liaisons. Please do us the favor of researching the topic in the wiki first. most of the answers are in there, but players sometimes need the nudge in the proper direction as well.

As always, welcome to Mizahar. I hope to see you out there. :)

Thank you both for the information and I have changed everything the both of you have said. It is nice to meet you both and I hope to chat with each of you in the future.

@Laslzo I'm happy to hear that you liked my name as I have never used it until this site. :)
On the skill comment you made I did change it and I do apologize for the misconception, you see when I was selecting the skills from the ones I had found on the wiki, I didn't look in depth at the unarmed combat as the information inside was a very small snip it. I instead took a line from one of the two guides that said you can generate your own skills as Mizahar never actually had any and that the ones listed in the wiki were only commonly used skills. Using that line I generated my own skill hoping any storyteller would account for it when participating in combat while shifted. Once again though, I do apologize for the mix up, just thought that I should explain myself.
I also did link my CS through my control panel, thanks for that as well.

@Sashisaxani Onto your two cents, ready for me to tear it apart as I did to Laslzo's? I did change my intro as I am actually a bit of a grammar Nazi myself and was completely unaware of where that saying originated from. Only that I am the king of awkward introductions and that I couldn't think of a subject line, as is typical of me.

Anyway, thanks again for the tips and I would enjoy talking with you, role playing with you, or both. Don't hesitate to kick off a conversation with me whenever you feel like it, about anything.

Also to you guys, it is kind of ironic that the two of you are the ones to respond to my introduction as Dhani and Symenestra were the two races I contemplated before going with Kelvic. Laslzo I know you are a Ethaefal, but your signature says otherwise.

No trouble at all, Lynes! It was an easy misconception to make, and we weren't trying to yell at you. We just wanted to nudge you in the right direction. I'm very grateful that you've done your reading, but there are a few small items, like that one, that you'll just have to learn over time.

You are a very good sport. I look forward to seeing you in chat one day. :)

Hey, there, Lynes, welcome to Mizahar! I'm glad you like it here!

I've just gone trough your CS and I must say you did a great job in sticking to Kelvic nature and not creating anything more complicated. My first character was also Kelvic and I that mistake with her, she was far too intelligent (and cliche, but let's pretend that didn't happen XD). They're animals, after all.

Also, just to note that you didn't change your background to fit his new age, you used "eleven/thirteen/seventeen years old" to describe time.

Actually, thank you Nai'shee, I had forgotten that in my background I had said ages. I corrected it I believe.

Also thank you for the compliment on my character creation, although I always have thought complexity was best and so making this character was a tad of a jump for me. Which to me, caused my background and concept of him to be lacking. On the intellect standpoint, I enjoyed the Kelvic, it wasn't that they weren't smart, they just would tend to be more instinctive than display much intellect. They also find the process of learning a pain, a large annoyance that causes them to never learn things by the books. Which was just another trait I liked about them.

Anyway, thanks again for reading my introduction and character sheet, I appreciate the tip and thanks for noticing the miss up I made with the age. :P
