New Stuff in the Wiki and Game!

A long-awaited bbcode feature has now been added. Tables can now have custom background and border colors.

Code: Select all: [table2=backgroundcolor,bordercolor] ... [/table2]

So,

will look like this

I have changed the board's search module to fulltext mysql. Basically, instead of keeping track of which posts contain which words, the forum just tells the database to do the dirty work on its behalf.

Aside from being faster and cutting our database size in half (we can delete 2.5 million rows), this will let you search for words that were previously considered too common (for example, "Abashai"). Also, in the future it should become possible to search for actual sentences instead of separate words.

The downside to this method is that searches must be four or more letters. My apologies to Nya and Mao searchers.

Let me know if you encounter any problem with the new search. I plan on deleting the old index this weekend.

I have added Facebook like buttons at the bottom of threads. You can share threads you particularly enjoy to spread the word about the game.

First Holiday Update!

You may have noticed menu links at the top. They are still being tweaked and some of those pages haven't been written yet. Still, they provide useful shortcuts to frequently used pages.

There is now more usefulness to the Facebook Like buttons - threads you share may appear on the front page in the "Recommendations" box. Don't be afraid to hit the button!

Also, a couple more bbcodes! Shadowy ones at that. They don't work on IE, sorry, though they might on IE9. "Shadow" puts a colored shadow on your text.

But you can get more control with "shadow2". It's a bit more tricky as it gets four parameters. Color, as before, then three numbers: offsetX and offsetY, which tell the code to place the shadow so many pixels to the right and bottom of the text, and blur radius. The higher blur is, the more blurry your shadow is. 0 is the minimum and renders a shadow that's just as sharp as the text.
