Do-Vedenza Kina is an important event. It's the day when the Harvesters leave, and it would make sense if your PCs attended the farewell feast.

I've added a few new questions to "Kalinor 101". The questions about Symenestra venom have come up a lot recently. I've decided to also repost them here so that you don't have to go through the whole long list.

What does Symenestra venom do?

Unlike other kinds of venom Symenestra venom doesn't simply make people sick or kills them. If the venom is strong, and enough of it is used, it turns organic material into some kind of soup. It also has the potential to slowly corrode metal.

Why do Symenestra not simply ingest a little bit of venom every day to become immune? That would solve all their problems!

Unfortunately it doesn't work that way. Each Symenestra's venom is different, and thus drinking venom would either make you sick if you are lucky or turn your insides into soup in the worst case.

What do Symenestra do with their dead? Do they bury them?

Symenestra don’t bury their dead because they live in a cave. Instead they treat the bodies with special mixtures to keep them from decaying, wrap them in silk and take them to the Temple of Viratas. The bodies of all Symenestra that ever died in Kalinor are kept there. Dead surrogates on the other hand are discarded like trash, dumped on the bottom of the cave and never talked about again. The monsters that live on the bottom of the cave eat them.

I made a thread about what happens in Kalinor this season.

I will add a list of events to that thread later on.

Unlike other cities Kalinor won't have a big thread where PCs can panick - because Kalinor is completely unaffected.

If you like, you can make your own threads with your PC's reaction to what's happening on the surface.

I might post a short quest or two involving refugees from the surface or a thread about harvesters that return and bring shocking news - and there might also be a thread on the surface about Symenestra luring humans to Kalinor, but we'll see.

If you want me to mod a thread that has something to do with the djed storm, let me know.

Hi!

Just popping in to say I'm a new PC in Kalinor, a Nuit singer who strictly prefers Sym forms. I'd say I've been in Kalinor for a number of years, so I didn't bother posting in the Entrance threads, as I'm guessing I've been in Kalinor for about 70 yrs.
