Closed Finding Beauty In Unlikely Places (Kiyono, Leaf)

Iosha looked up at Leaf when he said he didn't swim. She nodded her head and asked him, “Do you know how to swim? Or do you just choose not too?” Iosha wasn't quite sure what to say to the naked man. He seemed uninterested in the causal conversation since he switched back into bird form as soon as he said he didn't swim. Iosha was disappointed because she was interested in learning about him. She decided to stand up and take a seat over by Kiyono and watch the girl play with her bird. Iosha thought to herself that she must have a natural connection to the animals since they were acting the way they were around her. She could tell the young woman was intimated by the kelvic, and she was wondering if the girl was trying to escape him. She looked at Kiyono and said with a smile on her face, “I think I am going to try my hand at falconry in the near future. My father had a hawk when my mother was living in Wind Reach, so I might pick up a hunting pigeon or a dove. Also it might be nice to have a feathered companion by my side too.” Iosha laid back on the rock and looked up at the birds flying in the air. She was surprised at how peaceful it was up here in the sky. She decided to ask them, “Have any of you ever been to the Underground forest? I heard about the mushroom forest when I arrived, but I kind of curious if some of the mushroom are the size of trees.” Iosha wasn't sure what to expect from the places under Wind Reach, but she figure it could be fun to explore it with new people, so she asked them,“Kiyono and Leaf would you two be interested in exploring the Underground forest?”

[Kiyono]

Kiyono heard the man-bird as he perched nearby, and decided to pointedly pay little apparent attention to him. Instead, she concerned herself with Kou's distress, humming quietly in attempt to calm the small bird. When she heard the two chirruped, head cocked as she listened. Though she was fluent in Nari, it would seem that she was unable to understand their little conversation, and so, hovered protectively around the smaller bird. If Leaf made any move to hurt her little friend, he would be in for an unpleasant surprise. Kiyono was slightly comforted by the Konti's nearness, though she only allowed herself to relax a fraction. "Really? It may take some time...", she glanced at Iosha with a small smile, "but I think it would be nice." She was curious about the older woman's parents, wondering what her mother was like, but decided that it was a conversation for another time. The Konti's following words piqued her interest, and she listened attentively, the man-bird forgotten for a few moments. "Underground forest? Mushrooms the size of trees?" She herself had never ventured there, but knew that it was one of the food sources of her people. Curiousity getting the best of her, she nodded, replying in an excited voice, "Truely? Yes!", a grin spreading across her face.
