Beaches..... Who knew? (Ricky)

Night of the 48th of Fall 512 AV

As the darkness in her eyes seemed to brighten, she opened them, and sounds came rushing into her ear's that she had never heard before. She was in a white dress, simple but form fitting till it got to her waist. The skirt was flowy and the wind made it billow around her legs.

She was in a dream, she knew already, for what she was seeing, she could not possibly be seeing otherwise. She was standing bare footed on the beach. The beach.. Yeah, there was no way she just slept walked her way to a beach, she had never even slept walked before.

So it was a dream, but it was a beautiful dream, calming and relaxing, she wondered why she was having such a beautiful dream. The ocean crashing at her feet as she walked along the shore, the sun starting to set over the land to her left. It was spectacular. She smiled, and wondered to herself why her mind took her to such a beautiful place when she was not feeling as wonderful as she could have been.

But that is what dreams did, they took you away from reality, and so far, she liked this dream and it's direction. Mellow, and calm.

Beaches..... Who knew? (Ricky)

Postby Ricky Maze on November 22nd, 2012, 10:12 am

Now here was a place Ricky had always felt familiar with, one that he had always known so well as it was as deep as the chasm in his heart. Dark and alone was the void of this deep abyss as he felt himself hover through it's empty depths, whether he was in the vastness of the unlight sky or in the abyss of the water hr knew what this was. This was a dream again. He had fallen asleep here, and though he swore he could've felt some form of projection with his soul there was no magic involved. For this eternal abyss was his soul. It was the deepest part of the ocean within him, the lost collection of memories he could never touch. It was also the prison of his heart, the cage of all his emotion. There was no beast that dwelled here, for deep inside his heart he knew the true monster was himself. Yes he was a monster on the inside, a basket case to the world in which he understood little of. The mysteries that wrapped around him, plaguing his mind as he would sink. Sink deeper into the eternal depths where all sound was completely wiped out, where the only sound that could be made was the call of the ocean.

There was no end to this abyss, no sign of hope that could pull him out of here. This dark place was one that he placed himself in, one that he neglected to bring into the light. It was his inner self he never seem to let out, never allowed for others to meet. It was his wishes and desires, all trapped down in the deepest reaches where he had no real means to open. Only because of the veil that hid it from his mental capabilities, for he was not strong nor brave enough to swim these waters; and like a vault sealed shut with the highest shield spell a mage or wizard can cast it was impenetrable. Yet what was he doing here now? Was the dream finally giving a hint on how he could unhinge this safe? Could he find a way to forever break the spell? The answer was not here, even as he searched with himself. When ricky finally opened his eyes however he found himself rising, instead of sinking, from the depths. What did this mean? Had he found the key already? Was there even a revelation to bear witness this time? Would he even know if there a revelation to begin with? Again none of these provided answers, just more questions to replace them. Feeling the heavy weight thickness of his burden lighten, Ricky closed his eyes from the light that now began to shine, relaxing as he reached the surface above. His breathing remained natural and unchanged, as there was no need to hold his breath. In the dream world he was able to breath in this ocean because he was part of it, it was by his blood that he was bound to its depths. Yet he was not alone. No he could feel an odd sense of familiarity as if someone else was here, but that sense was overwhelmed with the feeling of comfort now. Comfort in feeling the oceans embrace as it cradled him, rocking him gently with its soothing waves as he floated on.

The sun was a definite warm welcome in this endless stretch of water, but Ricky wasn't sure if this was tied to him. For the dream had now taken it's course and he was no longer lost within himself. His chavi had now connected with someone else's. Whether he would know them was only a matter of time, the chances being unlikely as many dreams before were ones sealed and buried within the deep. Lost like an ancient pirates grotto it was full of these memories, these dreams that he could not remember in the real world; and those he was dreaming with. He could remember one very easily as he has seen this man before, twice now actually as he remembered the dream of the ship now. His perfect timing was like an intervention that slowly brought the reality in Ricky; even if being lost in the tension of the heat was more fun. The feelings that were associated were the easiest to recall first, the deep abyss echoing out it's resonating call as Ricky could hear one whisper of his name. Hadrian. Dream walker. Friend. These key words were all he could gather as they remain buried within the untouchable bottom. The revelation was still uncertain though. He could feel the water becoming more fluid and shallow now, perhaps a sign he would soon wake up and forget this unsolvable anomaly he was in.

Yet it was only just the beginning of the dream, as he had just fallen asleep not to long before seeing the endless pitch of darkness that he was surrounded in. So what was this? Sand? He felt his body soon wash up on shore, yet he did not move or open his eyes. He was relaxed and meditating, searching deep within to find the answer. 'A shore. Is this a symbol for something? A hidden meaning I'm suppose to realize?' He knew not the answers as still the question found itself with another, and with his mind deep in his focus Ricky exhaled a sigh. When Gin would find Ricky in this current state she would find him in his real clothes, a simple vest to cover his bare torso with linens and his worn leather shoes. The pendant his mother made would glitter within the light of the sun, a beautiful gleam as the glass feather would shine it's beauty from within. Ricky wouldn't notice her though for he was to caught up in his thoughts, to wrapped up in the troubling puzzle that he could not solve. This was exactly the part where Ricky thought himself as a monster; for not being able to look into himself and see him for who he really is.

Beaches..... Who knew? (Ricky)

Night of the 48th of Fall 512 AV Continued

She twirled as she walked, a smile on her face as she tried to take in everything at once. She soon stopped though for she fell to the ground, landing half in wet sand and half in dry sand. It made her laugh almost uncontrolably. How long had it been for, that she had had such a wonderful dream? It seemed like ages. She sighed and sat up, shaking of the dry sand.

She looked around and saw, a little ways down, that there was someone washed up on the beach. She stood up and brushed herself off as best she could. She walked over, each step sending a surge of familiarity through her mind. As the person took shape, she started remembering a dream she had had, only six days ago.

She gasped as she realized who this was, and a small blush splashed across her face. She knelt beside him and gave a small smile, just how she remembered him. But this was weird. Shouldn't it actually be Viper now? And not this guy? Why was she having fantasies of another man, when Viper was perfectly capable of making her happy?

Oh well, it's just a dream, deep down she knew she loved Viper, even if were only the beginning stages of it. Gin let her hand brush against this man's cheek as she remembered his name vaguely from their last dream. "Hi there Ricky," A small smile on her face as she said this. It would not be harmful to just talk right?

A warm hand came down to greet Ricky's face, his prickly facial hair tickled at the sensation of the unexpected touch. "Hi there Ricky." A familiar voice that cut off his mental fortitude with it's alluring distraction, Ricky placed his hand gently on top of this familiar one's hand and opened his eyes, he squinted as the sun had shone brightly in the sky today; his eyes not use to the light of the warm rays that beamed down on him, he took a moment to think on who this person was. The hollow and vage parts of his mind now filling with the same resonance of the familiar, filling the gaps with the information he was searching for. "Gin?" He was lost in his transition to realize that she was really there, shutting his eyes tightly and opening them in an attempt to banish the fragment of reality that stumbled upon him. Yet she did not disappear when he opened them, instead she remained looking down with the same eyes and the same smile he had now began to remember. "What are ya doin here??" He questioned in a confused manner, he leaned up to survey the area he was in. Unusual place they had wound up considering Ricky has never been here, but perhaps the dream itself was a manifestation that brought them back together.

Realizing that he was still holding her hand after he leaned up, he gave a humble apologetic look to her as he let it go. She had an outfit on this time, one that suited her well really. It brought out the light in her, that radiant glow Ricky remembered last time they met. Strange it was in a dream, but usually dreams can work in the most unexpected ways. She seemed rather happy as well, rather than the fearful injured Gin he remembered, she was actually very healthy. With his humble grin he always gave he chuckled to the girl, "Ye look well lass."

When he tried to let go of her hand, as he gave her an appoligetic look she just shook her head and grabbed ahold of his hand, as if saying it were perfectly fine. There was a softness to her eyes as she looked at him with a fondness. She did not look upset at all.

She smiled a bit more when he said she looked well, "And you look like you are in need of a little help." she teased. "or is that just me?" She giggled a bit.

She continued to hold his hand as she leaned over him and smiled. She looked great, way better than she had when she was in the other dream. But it was really only the dream, there were things going on in her mind, but it was not showing. About reality vs. the dream world, and many other things.

After sitting there a while she stood up and pulled him up along with her, "Well, let's take a walk, we can talk as we do so." She smiled at him, hoping for a good response.

When Ricky was helped by her he did his best to not pull her down, his bear like body type being one that would usually pull the other down with his own weight. He gave a friendly smile to Gin as he nodded in response, the last time they met was an unusual circumstance that resulted in the most unexpected turn of events. The night was only a memory to reflect upon now, the importance of it being what he would hide inside. The deep void of endless longing for a close companion to share his world with still existed, but it didn't call out like the last dream had done. There was no need for him to be her protecter this time, so the desirable urge to keep her safe was only small now. Instead he felt her more of a friend than anything, and he did long to speak with her.

"Sounds like a great idea." He was humble and friendly as always, his natural approach and witty charm both coordinating together to bring out his personality. There was a blend of detectable emotions that Gin would be able to detect though, seeing as how the deeper part of him was still resonating within the deep. She would definitely see a positive friendly smile with an honest care in his eyes, his posture being one of a relaxed stress free type. Yet the part she would havr to put effort into seeing was what he honestly tried to hide, the deep torment of a life long struggle that would taunt his being. The inescapable pit of loneliness he was in even before their first encounter now deeper in the realization of his dreams. Life seemed to be a struggling puzzle box that he couldn't piece together, bringing him down into a overwhelming grip of failure that he wish he'd shake loose.

"So what do ye want to talk about first?" He brought up as they began walking, hiding behind the mask that he foolishlg wore. Pretending to be happy or content wasn't what he was doing though, no he was keeping his vunerability hidden now. He wasn't going to allow himself the dishonor of being pitied, such idea's were what made him feel weak and even worse: regretfull.

She observed him as they walked, she really observed, and she noticed all the good things on the surface, but there was something haunting her in the back of her mind, telling her that there was more. Like he was wearing a mask, just like her. It was weird, all of a sudden she felt closer to him.

It was obvious she could see something in him he did not want to be seen, for she did not hide the fact that she saw it. But what she did do was even better. She did not ask him about it.

"Tell me.. about where you live. What is it like? Is it just as beautiful as this place?" She smiled, keeping away from the personal topics for now. Even though she wanted to talk to him about them. She felt that he did not really want to.

She understood that feeling clear enough, not wanting to share your deepest darkest thoughts and secrets and memories, just because she felt like if she did, she felt people would act as if they suddenly knew her. Like they pittied her when they just wanted to make themselves look good. It was one of the things about human life that she hated a lot.

It was like people always wanted to be in other's business. When they had enough to worry about themselves. Why? It was so annoying. But that did not matter, right now she would listen to Ricky.

"Zeltiva?!" He asked with a puzzled grin as he never really had to compare it to anything, he never really had to explain it to any one either. With a chuckle though his eyes zoned out to the sky above, as he gathered his thoughts on the place. "How else would ya describe home really? Let's see..." He stroke his chin as he thought some more on the subject. "Well it's not as calm or serene as this place. It's actually quite busy with the locals and workers, the sailors all gather at the docks usually to help load and unload the ships that arrive at the docks, and they sometimes head over to the Sailor's Guild if they're learnin important things. Navigation and such really, but there's more to it." He assured her with a grin as another chuckpe escaped, now more focused on the thoughts of the place he always knew. "The sea stretches on out the bay for miles, and there is always a breeze that will blow in. Ye can smell the ocean even before you arrive really. Oh and the buildings and places there are a sight to see too." He confirmed with a nod as he went deeper into his memories, trying not to get lost in the past he missed so much. "I remember almost fishin at the dock's everyday, I grew up bein the son of a single pa; and he raised me to become who I am now." He shared with content as the memories washed over him like the incoming tides over the beach, nearly losing himself into the thick deep of his inner spirit once more.

Before he could though he looked down to Gin and still kept his grin, though it was rather loose compared to the one earlier. However he wasn't going to give the chance for the brief incoming silence to arrive, he would watch her and listen to what she would have to say after he asked his question. "What about yer home? What is it like there?" He would ask in the same humble tone but there was a faint trace of a quake, as he cleared his throat to cover up the damage to his mask it had caused. He wasn't on the brink of war with himself at least, but he wasn't going to wallow in his depressive state. Not while Gin was around to keep him company at least, this was the second time theg had met; and he wasn't going to muck it up with his inner turmoil.

Night of the 48th of Fall 512 AV Continued

As he told her of his home, she tried to imagine it. A bustling city near the great waters that rushed in and out. But even with his description she could not do so. It sounded wonderful to her, but she just could not get an image into her mind. So she nodded and said, "It sounds like a great place, somewhere I might like to see some day."

She smiled as he asked her about her home. "I guess.. it is my home now.. for almost two years. Wow.. it seems that not so long ago, I was on the verge of death." She looked down at the ground but looked back up at him and smiled, "But, let us see. Endrykas huh? Well, it is ever moving and changing. Sometimes I get lost just trying to find my way to my tent."

She chuckled, "It is a hustle and bustle kind of place. Wonderous really. It is a wonder people know where to go sometimes I would think. There are so many people, it has always made me wonder how they move the whole city. But, I think my favorite part about the place, is that it makes me feel safe, even though I am out in the open."

She finished, smiling at him, not really sure what else to say. So she just walked and hoped he would say something.

He would nod as he listened to Gin speak of Endrykas, the sound of it being slightly similar to that of Zeltiva. Only as far as the busy bustle they had though, for the rest was beyond Ricky's imagination. He would chuckle when she mentioned the years she had stayed and the problems she would have at finding her tent, it definitely must have been a sight to see when one visited the place. Ricky thought he would like to witness this someday, to venture to Endrykas and see how they would live their everday struggles. Yet he had enough of traveling now as he was finally getting closer to home, for he had been away too long and missed it beyond epression. The only deal wad that the closer he seemed to be getting there, the deeper the hole would become. The void he would always ignore until that night had not been kind enough to tuck itself away anymore, it wanted Ricky to know it was there; and that his feelings were not going to bottle it it anymore.

The silence seemed to continue even when Gin had finished, Ricky knew it was inevitable as the silence usually has to come at some point. After all there can be no dawn without the night to come before it. Ricky sorted out his thoughts once more as he tried to find some way to break this impending quiet air about them, though where his mind wandered to was one he did not expected. As he stared ahead to the sand and watched the tides wash over the shore, he remembered the rest of that dream they first met in that night. The love and passion she has brought out of him as he wanted nothing more than to keep her safe, to please her where as she would feel the comfort and security he could give. It was these feelings he had but no one to share with, these feelings that made him feel like the monster he was. He thought himself a basket case in this moment as he knew she was not one he could share these feelings with. Though she was the key that had cracked the door she was not the one who opened it, therefore these feelings weren't really associated with her; but evolved because of her. It was her that had helped him realize that even with friends he still felt alone.

"Gin....about that night." He paused before he continued, trying to find the right words for the question he was about to ask. "What was goin through yer head? I mean what gave ye the idea to...well ya know...? He didn't want to impose anything on her as he felt rather touchy about the subject, he wasn't aware that his tone was one of a timid concern though. He practically forgot he was keeping up a mental barrier, strange really as he now noticed he was somewhat rather relaxed with her.
