The Knight, Ser Luk, was new to the order and had just recently finished his knighting and joined the ranks of the full Knights. Though he was still fresh, he was trained well enough and stood his ground against the mage. He gripped his sword and shield firmly and readied himself for anything that the dead man could throw at him. In this case, what he could throw happen to be earth spikes, which he was happy to send across the room at them both.
Luk realized, or rather he thought that Revy needed his help and so he quickly shoved her backwards and out of the way of the spear, then used his shield to block it. There was a strong clash, the spike shattering against his shield, the force pushing him back paces. The knight glanced back towards Revy, making sure they she was ok before speaking. "I'll distract him, sneak around and get behind him."
The nuit was a quick one, and didn't waste any time with more talking. He was already forming another ball of res, in which he sent into the floor to form another spike and sent it at the Knight. This time he threw himself to the left and backwards, hoping to draw the attention of the nuit to give Revy a chance to sneak up behind him.

The mercenary didn't particularly like being told what she already planned to do. She was almost ready to snarl at him, but kept her cool for now. They had to take care of this nuit first. If her hip would just hold out a little longer and not start hurting even more, it would be quite easy to do... or so she hoped.
Revy tried to move out from behind the knight, but the moment she did, an earthspike flew by right in front of her. ”Darnit, how the petch am I gonna sneak up on him if I can't even move away from here.”, she thought, ”Urgh, gonna be risky, but I hope that knight'll be of some use. He'll probably target me the moment I sprint away from here, just hope his aim ain't too great.” And with that last thought, she suddenly started to run towards the wall on the other side of the cave. Her hip immediately started protesting against abuse like this and it almost made Revy lose her balance.
”Oi Knight, you better assault him now, keep that shield up!”, she shouted at him and just then felt a sharp pain coming up from her upper right leg, before she went against the ground. The nuit reimancer didn't have a bad aim, not as bad as Revy had hoped at least. She couldn't even move that leg anymore, the shard was stuck in it, sticking out at both sides of her leg. ”YOU PETCHING BASTARD!”, she shouted as she grabbed her sword a little tighter.
With that piece of earth stuck in her leg, the woman had no hopes anymore of reaching the nuit. She could be glad if she could even crawl. Her vision went hazy. The pain was immense and it almost robbed Revy of her consciousness. ”Only... got one shot..... at this.”, she thought to herself as she saw the reimancer ready another earthspike. Before he could throw it, Revy threw her sword, lodging it directly in the torso of the nuit. The force made him stagger backwards and lose his concentration. |
About Revy's woundThe earthspike is stuck in her leg, just above the knee and a little towards the back of the leg. It took out about half the bone. Luckily it didn't hit any arteries.
Yes I know I'm also evil and I'm aware of the fact that Revy can now be crippled.

Luk raced and tumbled away, hoping to dodge the spike before it could get to him. He knew that he had to move fast or else he'd be catching a spike to the gut soon. The Knight continued on, making a half circle as he looked to come around, but paused when he heard Revy cry out. Luk turned back to find that the woman had been injured with a spike and couldn't run anymore.
His eyes moved to the nuit, who was readying himself for another attack, and raced towards him. He knew that he had to get there soon or the woman would be done for. Luckily she thought to attack, and as she launched her sword into the nuti's gut, Luk dashed in from behind and beheaded the man. Once the man was down, and his head rolling across the floor, Luk hurried over to check on Revy.
"How bad is it?" He kneeled down and took a look at her leg. The spike was embedded deep inside and would need a healer to take care of it. "Stay still, we'll need to get a healer to look at it, but you'll be fine. "
He turned away for a moment, looking to where the men had disappeared before the one had come back and attacked them. There was at least two more of them, he had learned that much, and it was possible that there was even more. Either way, he would have to go and take them all. "Listen, I know that there are at least two of them in here some place, I have to deal with them..stay here and I will come back for you."
He nodded towards the woman then raised his shield and sword, before disappearing into the darkness himself. Chimes went by, and there was no sounds or voices from anywhere on either side of the cave. With her wounded leg, it would be hard for Revy to move, but if she tried hard enough she could possibly make it to the entrance, or sit and wait for the knight to return. Suddenly there was a loud crash, and yelling could be heard from the darkness that the knight slipped into.
More chimes passed, and there was nothing else, no sounds of any kind, leaving Revy to wonder what had happened. Then it came, a creepy rustling sound, combined with a wetness of sorts. It was hard for her to see at first but as the sounds grew closer, so did the source. A figure crawled towards her, it's body decayed so much that the skin was literally pealing off as it moved. The clothing on it's back appeared to be mages robes and there was a strange liquid dripped from it's flesh and collected around the limbs that were once feet. Revy looked on in horror as the subhuman sloth struggled to reach her.

Was this guy insane? He was going to face two of those freaks alone? Well, it wasn't her problem... no wait, it WAS her problem. She needed his help to get out of here. The mercenary couldn't walk, only crawl a little. ”This guy better live. I don't want to bleed to death coz of this piece of earth.”, she thought to herself.
If she had to wait, she wanted to wait with at least a weapon in her hands, so she crawled towards the corpse of the beheaded nuit. Her hip felt painful, but not as much as her leg. It was as if it was getting ripped off. Revy had to fight against the pain or she'd lose conscience, she knew that. It took her agonizing chimes to reach that corpse, a distance she could cross like ten times faster if she could walk. But she reached it.
Once there she grabbed the body and turned it around. She ignored the disgusting feeling of the meat which felt like jelly. The smell wasn't any better either. Apparently this body had seen better days... long, long ago. At least she had that sword back. A weapon in her hand gave her so much more confidence. Especially in cases like this, where she felt that, with the right push, she could easily lose the carefully built mask.
The sudden scream and the loud thud alerted Revy right away. ”Oh petch! That guy got himself killed, just you watch it.”, she thougt to herself as she slowly pushed herself backwards towards the wall. Only a few chimes later, she heard the shuffling. A corpse was coming her way, an ugly and almost completely rotten corpse. It almost made the hardened mercenary hurl. How could something like that still be moving? And how more revolting would it get before it'd stop. What was even worse about his looks, was the clothing he wore. ”Oh great, another mage.... Why do the gods hate me so? What have I done wrong to deserve this?”, she thought to herself.
The mercenary pulled her legs in, as far as she could. It hurt like a motherpetcher, but this way she could slice at the... whatever it was... his hands when he came into range. ”Back off, or I'll slice that rotten head of yours off your rotting body.”, she threatened the nuit, but of course, he didn't listen, only crawled closer, until he came into striking range of the sword. ”Why doesn't he use magic? He's a mage too right?”, Revy thought to herself. But she didn't think twice about slicing off that arm that reached out to her. The sword going through the rotting meat and the bone felt sickening. It was as if she sliced a thick jelly. ”Hold in whatever left you have in your stomache, Revy. Haven't properly eaten since arriving here, but I do not want to repeat what happened with Cade.”, she thought to herself. |

The man was once known by the name Justin Lansure. As a young man he studied the magic arts and later became obsessed with it. He had become much stronger in the arts years later when an accident coasted him much of his natural body. This left the mage with nothing to live for until he met a man named Morlan, a Nuit. For his own reasons the nuit gave Justin the chance at a second life and transformed him into a nuit.
He then joined Morlan and another Nuit who continued the study of magic, and looked to create an army of golems to control as well as to acquire magical artifacts for their uses. But sadly they weren't the most accomplished of nuits and soon found themselves fleeing more than once to escape a city's wraith. What's more they fell on hard times and their bodies began to rot out.
Justin was in the worse shape as he had sustained more injuries and was unable to change bodies the last time that his fellow nuits had. This was all that was left of him. His feet were only stubs now and his fingers skeletal. His eyes were sunken into his face and skin all but peeled off. When the knight had sudden appeared in the area of the cave where he and Morlan were, he ducked the fight and tried to escape.
Revy was his only hope now, he had to keep hold of her until Morlan could finish off the knight and find them. He crawled towards her, mouth hung open and almost inaudible hisses and coughs slipped out as he reached for her. His arm was suddenly chopped off as he reached out, but it didn't stop him from coming for her. But he realized that in his condition he was no match for her.
Again he attempted to speak and his voice was caught in the sour fluids in his throat. He paused, a strange aura of res started to flow around him, it seemed that the nuit still had one last thing to try.

Hearing the nuit gurgle in an attempt to speak, made Revy almost hurl again. Why was this thing so revolting? Why was this day going so bad even? Yet, seeing the res build up around that nuit, gave Revy goosebumps. She had to take care of him and fast, or she wouldn't live to tell the day, or so she thought.
This is why she lashed out again with that longsword. It was more hysterical then before and it was quite obvious that Revy wasn't nearly as calm anymore. She had to get rid of that nuit and fast. Magic was a dangerous thing, very dangerous. She wanted to avoid that no matter what.
It was gratifying to see the sword eat itself into the head, or whatever was left of it, of that crawling nuit. However, because he was already decaying so much, the feeling of cutting a person wasn't there. It was more like cutting jelly. This last push made Revy hurl. Everything she had eaten that day, everything she had drunk, sprayed over the corpse in front of her.
The human felt sick, her leg was killing her, she was scared, not to mention that she was still suffering from her insomnia. All in all it added up into her pushing herself away from the pool of vomit and the corpse. Her eyes were fixated on that thing. It wouldn't move again right? Cutting it at eye-height killed it right? |

Ser Luk returned moments later, nursing his arm and covered in some sort of ooze. The Knight stumbled over towards Revy to see if the woman was ok. But Revy had been injured, and combined with the excitement of death, the young woman had passed out ticks before he arrived. Luk wasn't in the best of shape at the moment and had injuries of his own. However he was a Knight above all else and would protect and serve at any cost.
He would find a way to pick the woman up and see her to safety even if he died in the process. But luckily for them both, he wouldn't have too. A unit of Knights had been dispatched to find him the moment they realized that he had been taken and were just now arriving on the scene. It couldn't have been a more wonderful sight to the wounded warrior. The team moved in and searched the area to make sure that the danger had passed, and after collecting Luk and Revy, they returned to the city.
Both were taken to the healers and treated for their wounds. Revy's leg was cared for and bandaged before infection to claim it and the woman was put to bed where she could rest easily. It was realized while she was out, that the woman was the same one that had been placed in the tank for being crazed in the tavern. At first it was thought that she was a part of the group of body snatchers, but it was Luk who cleared her name.
He knew that she had nothing to do with the Nuits, but she still would have to answer for her crimes at the tavern. However in light of the situation and the fact that she did attempt to help him, even though it may have been for completely selfish reasons, he would ask that the council went easy on her and spare her from a life in the mines, or death. Once he was rested, the knight headed to the room where they had the woman held and went in to speak with her. Her next actions and words could be critical in her sentencing, if she chose to speak at all.
OOCOk you can post again if you like before I wrap it up, or I can go on and grade it.
