"Damn, what's more fun to you, watching me fall or beating me up?" Wys said, grunting as he got up. There were some seriously steep learning curves to acrobatics. The whole learning process was like a long, steep hill. If one falls, one will only accelerate down before a crash, and it will take a while to get back to the top. Not that Wys was even close to the top, he kept stumbling in the beginning.
"You...have got to be kidding me." Was his reaction when he saw Fade do that push-up. This one screamed of injury. Not that it would stop him. He wouldn't have his job if he was that easily intimidated. "Boy, oh boy, I'm going to love explaining this one to the medics."
Conviction. That is what he is lacking, he began to understand. He gets hurt because he is waiting to get hurt. His fear of gravity is holding back that which he needs to do what Fade told him. Then again, gravity isn't kind to anybody.
Wys got down and took his time to position himself. This time he won't put too much force. He gripped the stump, and swung his feet up, bending at the knees, and ending in a four-second handstand. He fell down, again, rolling as he did so.
He hopped back on the ground. That is definitely an exercise he will try again at home.
"Let's leave that one for later, got anything else?"
If gods are watching us, the least we can do is be entertaining.
