Also, I heard some concerns about my PC being very improbable to happen and against the lore.

Do you have any suggestions on how a half-Sym would be raised in Taloba?

I was thinking something like the father impregnating a Sym in the jungle and then only taking back the child with him since Syms are killed on sight.

I think you meant 513 haha, but yes, I believe you'd get a higher starting pay if you joined the military right off the bat now than the average soldier in other cities, but the bummer is it ties you down for three RL years being attached to the military, which I think is why most prefer to run it in flashbacks and have relative freedom in the present time.

As to your mixed heritage, that is a toughy. Your situation is quite similar to Tinnok's except with opposite gendered parents. Maybe your half breeds father couldn't bear to kill the child, but you are going to have to keep in mind the constant beratement your PC will get, especially with her (or his) special diet and Sym features will draw notice and a lotta hate *gestures to half Dhani body*

Myrians are soooo racist. Actually both Dhani and Myrians are pretty darn racist, so being different at all is a BUMMER, but for folks like Quzon, at least he isn't half of a race that Myrians inherently despise.

So yeah, it is sort of a difficult story to work out, but if you really want to go for it, I would be the last person to stop you haha. It would probably have to involve your PC's father's back story outside of Falyndar though, since you are quite right in the fact that Myrians would relish killing any stray Syms to wander into the jungle.

As for how she was raised? Well to a certain extent her physical traits might be able to be hidden as a child, but it'd be harder the older she got I feel, but there are a lot of ways you could go with it, a supportive clan, a clan that hated her guts, endless possibilities await.

Thanks! I think I'm going to keep the military in FBs to withhold my freedom. I already knew that my PC will get scorned and I actually relish it, since it'll make for some good conflict. I'm just trying to work out the backstory and the entire "coupling" thing. That's the snag now. After that's done I think I got the rest figured out. I'm okay with the clan hating her guts. I'll just have her try to work extra hard. And if her father wasn't executed for treason I believe he'll be enough emotional support. I just wanted to extend a warm welcome to all of our new blood, I know I've been conversing with most of you via PMs over the past couple days and i can't wait to see what you guys get up to in the jungles!

Nanak, I believe you're the only one with which I haven't discussed a job thread, so drop me a line when you figure out what sort of career you'd be interested in pursuing. Due to the Taloban military offering incentives for joining up, if you hadn't already done your three years of required service or wanted to join up again, you could always join Tzira whose getting her feet wet in the military and earn a higher than average starting income!

There's also one Taloban prompt left in the grading thread up for grabs, and shortly I will be swapping the current prompts out for new ones, so keep an eye out!
