Sweaty, tired, but satisfied, Leila sat back on her feet, looking over at her pink haired friend, their work complete, "My papa taught me. A long time ago he had an herbalism shop here in town but... it failed. It took a really big toll on him, but he managed to keep his dream alive by teaching me in our little backyard. And now the Lord of Council is giving me a loan to open my own shop, Leila's Soothing Salves and Clinic, surprisingly close to here. Maybe I can do it right. They are building it soon, should be done come summer."
Leila stood up, and grabbed the entire 'get rid of' pile, and took it over to the nearby tree line. She spaced each on out over there, giving each of them a chance at surviving, even if they were considered weeds. Plants were like people, none were fully bad, if given the right opportunity. All things have some good in them, or at least the potential for it. She returned over to her companion and began gathering up her tools, "Hey, if you're ever interested in cleaning up some of these other gardens, or just want to chat, stop by World's Inn Grotto. I tend bar there, until my shop opens, and it's so lovely meeting someone who loves gardening as much as myself. Oh! I almost forgot! Summer first, is my grand opening, complete with a potluck dinner, so if you can, you should try and stop by."
All packed up now, she looked around, making sure everything appeared to be in order, and like her father had taught, stuck out a polite hand for a shake, "It was my pleasure to meet you Nai'a. But it's about time for Shaco's dinner. Thank you for all your help, and I hope to see you again. Don't be a stranger, I don't have many pink haired friends."
OOCThis seems like a good place to end, so I'm going to go ahead and turn it in. Would you like to do another? If so, PM me please. |
