A half-collapsed city of alabaster and gold fiercely governed by Eypharians. Even partially ruined, it is the crown of the desert and a worthy testament to old glories and rising powers.

[The Scorched Skull] Shadow Meets Shadow - Sheshna

Postby Shikoba on April 20th, 2013, 7:33 am

'Inspira-' she thought, just before her mind went blank with surprise, or perhaps shock. Shikoba heard a growl pass through her mind, but there was no time to ponder what had just happened. She was handed a broken mop, the tip where the cloth should have been, turned into a crude weapon; sharp and pointed. Though she had no experience with a spear, she needed to defend herself. It would do the job. She grinned at the, "elbow as needed," and proceeded to attempt to imitate Sheshna's smooth movements and speed.

The Chaktawe nodded, and followed as closely as possible, eyes darting this way and that as she concentrated on the task at hand. It would not do for her to die in such a place. As she swatted and smacked her way through the brawlers, she used her height and black eyes in attempt to intimidate the sober and intelligent ones out of the way, by glaring at them with the darkest expression she could muster, bearing her teeth in a fierce grin. However, those were too few, most caught up in drink or the violence, and so more often than not, she had to resort in using the quicker way to clear herself a path, striking heads, and driving her mop into stomachs with the blunt end of her hasty weapon, which was rather effective.

Every now and then, Shikoba felt limbs striking her person, and gritted her teeth against the pain; elbows to the stomach, fists to her sides, kicks to her legs, and retaliated, resulting in cries of pain. Since she was not used to her make-shift mop-spear, she was not able to use it to it's full potential, the limited space adding to her difficulty. Her strikes did not have much force behind them, but she was almost lucky that such chaos quickly distracted those assailants. As they neared the exit, she noted one persistent fellow following them, a bloodied table leg in his hand. He was not small by any means, broad muscular shoulders displaying, well, muscle, his eyes seemed to carry a sense of frenzied blood-lust. Frantically, she called out to her companion, not turning her attention from the threat before her. At the same time, she felt the protective, but harsh presence of her Guardian in her mind, radiating discontent.

oocSorry it took so long! >.<

[The Scorched Skull] Shadow Meets Shadow - Sheshna

Postby Sheshna on April 21st, 2013, 3:47 pm

Everyone was getting a bit battered. Sheshna was no different, however her broom was pretty simple. Not much experience was needed for it. Just swing as hard as possible. She watched as Shikoba made her strive forward and she wasn't far behind. By this time her broom had broke turning it into a long sharp staff of sorts, with the point being made at the split.

"Looks like you can handle yourself a bit." Commenting on the odd butts and strike she was taking earlier. She saw a large man approaching. Yeah she was tough but she didn't get into too many fist fights. She was a mage of all thing for a criminal to be. It didn't concern her however... She learned fast and this was a lesson she was taught already.

She was faster than most people except Dhani of the Vipers. If she timed it just right this guy would be a snack-food on a stick. She glanced at Shikoba "My dad always said if can't solve the problem with violence, you aren't using enough violence." She chuckled over.

[The Scorched Skull] Shadow Meets Shadow - Sheshna

Postby Shikoba on April 30th, 2013, 12:55 am

"Looks like you can handle yourself a bit," she barely heard over the din, causing her to grin. That was most likely the best complement she had heard that day, despite the looming figure with his imposing presence, moving ever closer. She watched his progress warily, careful to keep enough distance between them, dodging the stray limbs and flying objects as she did. It had not been too long ago that she had arrived in the city, a mere few days, and she had yet to accustom herself to the violence wrought in such places. However, something made her halt from her back stepping, something that felt somewhat primal, in that backing away was a sign of weakness. Instead, she adjusted herself into a slow circle, just as she heard Sheshna's chuckled comment.

"Solving violence with violence..." she murmured. She was not one who reveled in bloodshed and pain, but in a situation such as this, it would be quite the task to get anyone caught up in the chaos to think rationally. Though she was a quick learner and not a woman who lacked in strength, the brawl was beginning to wear on her stamina, not being used to prolonged fights. 'That will be at the top of my list as something to fix,' she thought, adding grimly, 'if I make it out of this mess.'

Looking over to the other woman, she asked through slightly panting breaths, "got any ideas?" eying the man, searching for any visible weakness. The Chaktawe was caught between tossing her make-shift weapon aside in favor of her daggers, and the idea that it was a bad idea to throw away a weapon that could be used against her.

[The Scorched Skull] Shadow Meets Shadow - Sheshna

Postby Sheshna on April 30th, 2013, 2:00 pm

Sheshna only smiled at Shikoba at first. Then she answered not realizing that her inner filter was a bit shot, "When my dad bought meat, he'd kill it himself. He said injuring your boar makes it easy to kill. Then he'd break it's legs, jawbone then neck. By then it couldn't move, let alone fight back."

She then observed they impending adversary. His legs looked thinner than expected. To her this seemed like a man who only worked his glamour muscles. "Let's punish his vanity..." She said making a gesture with her fingers, it indicated walking and she hoped Shikoba would notice his legs. That was her plan, avoid injury and just keep wounding her prey.

"If we win... Mind if I get a snack before we get to my place? I like to snack at night." Though it wasn't necessarily obvious what she meant.

[The Scorched Skull] Shadow Meets Shadow - Sheshna

Postby Shikoba on May 3rd, 2013, 8:25 am

It took a moment to process what she had, as Shikoba was caught slightly off guard by the other woman's words, momentarily distracted. The method she spoke of was brutal, cruel even, but effective all the same. Returning her attention to the man before them, just as Sheshna noticed, Shikoba noted the same, that her initial worries were not necessarily correctly placed. However, those muscles would be effective all the same; if he had the brains to use them.

Taking Sheshna's hint, the Chaktawe continued to circle the man, though this time, she slowly closed the distance between herself and her target. Attempting to draw her prey's attention, she smiled and lowered her lids, her movements relaxed and smooth, as she ran her gaze up and down his form in a way that could be mistaken for an admiringly look, though he was likely to hotheaded to note it, searching for weaknesses that she could exploit.

"If we win... That sounds nice, though please don't take it to heart if I do not... partake? Partake in your snack..."
she said, apologetically. It had taken a moment to understand what Sheshna had meant by 'snack', but then she recalled them speaking of her friend's Myrian heritage. Perhaps it was their conversation, but for whatever the reason, the man seemed distracted for a moment, and the Chaktawe lunged forward, instinctively aiming for the opening, despite her feeble weapon. It was only because of a distinctive bark that she was able to avoid being nicked in the head with one of the many flying objects, and narrowly avoiding being back-armed by the giant before her as she crouched. From there, she pushed up, her grip like iron on the broom, as she brought it up to strike the man under the chin. It must have been sheer luck, or perhaps the adrenaline coursing through her veins, because his head snapped backwards, while the wooden shaft in her hands splintered into pieces, sending some slivers into her hands.

No sooner had this occurred, when something barrelled into her, sending her sprawling into a corner with a bruising blow, where she hit her head against the wall and sank to the ground. 'You damned girl! Damned foolish girl!' shouted an angry voice into her aching skull. 'No... not anger... at least not entirely,' "Chopre he randi! Listen to me! Get out of here this instant, unless you want your skull to be split open by the next brute that comes at you!" 'Gods, why was he so loud? Why did everyone have to be so loud?' She touched her head woozily, drawing back wet fingers before her eyes. They were coated in a red liquid, which some part of her realized was blood, but she was too out of it to fully comprehend what had just happened. The moment she attempted to rise to her feat, it felt as if someone had split her skull, and was sent to the ground, cringing.
