Samantha continued to run. The sun was slowly setting so she didn't have much time. Samantha didn't stop when her vision blurred anymore. She continued on and if she fell or went the wrong way she simply picked herself back up and trekked on.

The tigress knew she had to be close. There was slight traces of horse prints as she went. She was only able to tell they were getting slower by how deep the patterns went into the ground. She was getting close. The tigress stopped running when she heard the voice of her target and the pained thuds of another.

The tigress stalked into a group of tree's. Treading lightly and carefully. Several chimes after the snake last spoke the tigress was able to see hints of the weaker female. The tigress moved around so the snake was on the opposite side of her and the girl was in the middle. She didn't want to wait but she was smart and would go for the kill once he was distracted.

Samantha came out of her rage slowly as she saw the girl. Caltrops. The girl was spinned on caltrops. A new wave a rage surged through her. Svan was going to torture the girl. Samantha didn't pause for a second. She shook her head to gain her vision back and once it was clearer she sprinted forward.

Samantha knew she couldn't protect the girl. So she pulled the best move she knew. Pushing herself to be as numb and emotionless as she could without rage, Samantha gripped the girls neck in her mouth. She didn't bite down but she gripped it hard enough for a little blood to come to the surface. The smell of blood already plugged her nose so she wouldn't go mad with instincts but she did feel the blood on her tongue.

She growled at the snake. And lifted the girl up slightly. Making sure not to cause any damage, though it's hard when you can't see in your mouth. She was the threat. She was going to take his prize and kill it fast. She was going to end Svan without words.

Mentally she knew she wasn't going to kill the girl, but if she played her cards right she might be able to make the girl pass out and appear dead. She just needed enough blood on the girls neck and for the girl to pass out. It was going to be harder than it seemed but right now, Svan wasn't in a place to where he could do much.

If he attacked Samantha she could bite down and end his torture. If he tried to set fire to anything again she would kill the girl then run. She didn't care for the girl anymore than she did a quarter deer if it meant her life. 'If you so much as hiss, it's over.'She thought smugly.

Adventure Time ['Svan and Samantha]

She didn't realize how fast everything could go wrong. In a way, Kiyeri felt that she deserved it. Her mother and sisters would not mourn her if she left this sphere. She wondered...if she could reincarnate as someone much more responsible. More smart, strong, dependable. Even in her short life as 'Kiyeri', she had found people that did love her, but she would never be as honorable as a true warrior. And when the dhani lift her by the neck, she felt her life drain. Nkomo had since ran off, possibly in fear.

Her fingers, as small as they were, tried to scratch and pull at his arm. A valiant effort on her part, but she knew...it was almost over.

She didn't notice the caltrops until he slammed her body down. The unfamiliar sting scraped across her nearly nude flesh and drew blood. She cried, her throat had grown hoarse. This wasn't supposed to happen! She just wanted to go to Lhavit! Why was she so stupid? Why? Why? Why?

If she survived, the caltrops would leave scars, littered across her legs, back,
and chest.

"Just let me die..."

A flash of orange and white sped through, her neck felt the familiar tightness of being gripped. It was the tiger. Her eyes began to wet, did she want her dead, too? Kiyeri's eye sight began to dim. Maybe, in another life...

She lost consciousness.

Adventure Time ['Svan and Samantha]

Postby Licearsvansan on July 21st, 2013, 3:43 am

OOCSvan is speaking with a dhani lisp

It would be a lie to say that Svan wasn't enjoying himself. The feeling of power as he watched the life of his prey slowly draining out in his iron grasp. The rush of adrenalin that met her squeal of pain as he smashed her into the caltrops. The quenching of some deep animal desire to kill. It was that instinct that Svan heard and that alone. It told him that what he was doing was his right. That it would be a crime not to enjoy this hunt. It was survival of the fittest and in being weak this woman had brought this fate upon herself.

She deserved this.

"Just let me die..." the girl practically whispered.

A twisted grin formed grew from Svan's snake lips, "As you wish." Svan raised his tail high into the air and readied it to strike her square on the skull. He was stopped only by the sudden burst of movement from the brush before him. A flash of orange shot out like a gun towards him, and the Dhani's tail rocketed forward to guard his face. However, before Svan could even register what was going on the tiger's maw lept forward and wrapped around not Svan but Kiyeri. The snake's initial reaction was an angry hiss at the possible threat that had nearly attacked him. In pure instinct he shook his rattle violently and took a defensive stance in hopes of intimidating the beast. After a moment of this Svan's mind kicked back in and recognizing the pattern of her stripes Svan realized that it was Samantha who was standing before him. The snake shot an almost confused look to the kelvic. He hadn't expected her to arrive quite this soon, and her appearance had been so sudden that Svan was caught completely off guard.

It didn't however, take long for the snake to realize what the tiger was doing. As he realized just what was going on the snake's posture relaxed and his twisted smile returned. He knew Samantha's limits and he knew that so long as she had Kiyeri in her mouth her mobility was limited. She couldn't charge without risk of tripping and she couldn't dodge fast enough without risking injury to the girl. She could of course let go of the woman and run, but that would mean allowing Svan to kill the girl. In short, she was cornered.

With the smug grin still stretched across his face Svan lifted his tail into the air and coldly whispered, "Well? Go ahead then and do it. Crush her neck, snap her windpipe." The snake's tongue flicked and he could already taste the woman's blood. "Oh don't worry there is no need to be polite and hesitate, I'm done with her. She seems to have passed out anyways." Svan's could feel that warm fuzzy feeling of being in power returning even stronger than before. Last time he had only had a child at his mercy, but now he had a tiger AND the girl. "Well then," Svan's tail began to shake violently. "If you won't kill her..." The sound of his rattle rose to an almost deafening sound. "...then I will." The rattle stopped all at once and every muscle in Svan's tail tensed, ready to lash out with blinding force directly onto the tiger's skull. It was a strike aimed to kill. Not just the Myrian but Samantha as well. The tiger's skull was already softened by the earlier blows and another of this kind of force had the very real possibility of ending her. It was not something that Svan wanted to do, but by his logic it was the tiger's own fault if she failed to abandon the girl and dodge. In the last moment before Svan struck out with his hammer of a tail the snake was smiling in sadistic joy.

And in the next, he was not. just before he struck the snake's eyes fell onto Kiyeri's face and something returned that Svan wished hadn't. His conscience. It wasn't simply because she had begun to cry, it was because it was that same damn expression that Samantha had given him once earlier. His body locked up and he hissed violently as his eyes darted back and forth between Samantha and the Myrian. "No, no, no, you have to be petching KIDDING ME!" The Dhani abruptly roared. The snake's tail lowered and he coiled his body high into the air. Both arms reached out as if ready to strangle the tiger, "YOU!" He hissed hatefully, before suddenly snapping his body away and slithering towards a nearby tree. His arms coiled around a small tree and with his massive strength he shook it as if it were the Myrian herself. "Of all the shyke eating- Gah! How?! How is it the same petching expression as her? HOW? HOW? WHY? HOW? HOW? GAAAAAAAH!" The tree snapped in two under the Dhani's wrath, and Svan, apparently exhausted by his tree murder, collapsed over the broken stump.

A few ragged breaths later Svan turned a single spiteful eye towards the tiger and with not a small amount of seething he hissed out a "Fine." to the woman. With no further explanation Svan took off his pack and began rifling through it. He pulled out two jars Samantha should be quite familiar with considering they were the same two jars of medicine the Dhani had used to patch her up on there first day together. Svan rolled the medicine over to Samantha and without saying a word he ordered her to use it on the Myrian before she bled out.

If she was able to understand him as well as he could her then what she would hear was something along the lines of, You fix her up, I'm going to go kill another tree.

Samantha had to hold back the emotion of smugness from her eyes as Svan looked confused and startled. She loved doing it. Oh how she loved catching him off guard. But just as quickly as he was shocked was he murderous.

Samantha growled as his tail lifted into the air. Samantha was just starting to tense her jaw when his radler became a problem. Samantha couldn't shake her head without killing the girl but her ears were agitated. Because of the distraction Samantha didn't notice the tail coming at her until it had stopped in front of her.

Samantha couldn't hold back her fear as she stared at it. Svan almost killed her. Svan... Samantha fell the the ground in relief. She moaned at the spriks at her skin but she slowly let the girl go. Samantha's head snapped up when she heard a large crack.

Samantha's eyes landed on Svan, who was laid out over a broken tree stump. He had just snapped a tree in half. Samantha's eyes widened and she stepped over the Myrians body. Samantha tensed when Svan set an eye on her. He hissed at her and then took off his pack. Samantha watched him with cautious eyes.

When the snake came closer, she hadn't looked at what he had in his hands yet, she showed her teeth. But then he stopped and rolled two jars of medicine over to her. Ones she was familiar with. Samantha waited until the snake had turned around before she shifted. Samantha carefully moved beside the girl and pushed away and caltrops she needed to.

"He almost killed us." Samantha whispered to the girl. Samantha sat beside the girl and covered her face with her hands. Sniffling up and trying to breathe through her nose Samantha let out a hiss. She turned a glare of her own to where Svan snapped the tree. Sighing Samantha turned her gaze to the medicine. She had gotten what Svan had willed. He was still frustrated and Samantha was to keep the girl alive.

Samantha went to crawl over to the bottles, who had stopped just short of her reach because of some stray caltrops, but had to stop. Clutching her head in her hands Samantha let out a whimper, "Gods, I'm going to kill you for this. It hurts like hell Svan." Taking a couple breaths and getting herself back together, Samantha got to two jars and moved back to the girl.

Samantha lifted the girl and moved her to a spot without caltrops before turning her over. Samantha looked at the damage and groaned. Of course she was the one who had to do the cleanup job. Samantha quickly pulled out the caltrops and threw them in a pile a ways away. She had some pricks in her skin as well but nothing that wouldn't heal on its own.

Samantha didn't have a sense of modesty so she simply raised the girls shirt up around her shoulder and opened up the jars. Samantha was glad, now, that she couldn't smell. Dipping one hand in one jar and the other in the other Samantha recalled what went on first. Applying the thick kind to the smaller marks Samantha was careful of the sharp claws. Then she worked the second type into the deeper wounds. She remembered that Svan had to press a little more for this one because it was less thick.

She made quick work of the girls back and then moved down to her legs. All the while she chuffled and hummed under her breath a song her Aunt had played on her flute when Sammy was distressed. Samantha's breath slowed down as she worked. Working herself down from her anger Samantha moved mindlessly.

Samantha didn't realize that she was getting ready to take the girls pants off until she heard noise around her. Instantly coming out of her daze Samantha turned and poised for a fight, a hiss coming out of her mouth. She was not in the mood for any sneaks or visitors. Her eyes narrowed and she closed her mouth but still kept in her crouch. Protecting the girl and readying herself for battle if need be.

The tigress was not in the mood. She was a little woozy, her nose was stuffed up, and her chest stung a little.

She was sure that she was dead. Her mind, as hazey as it was, was able to conjure images. Memories of her life in the past. Fishing with her father. Or chasing after her sisters when she was smaller and less strong. She remembered the chubby boy that liked her. And how his feelings, no matter how strong they were, he never...

"I deserve nothing." She thought, could she even think, now that she was dead? Could she? There was no point in her looking for happiness in this strange world. She was always the underdog. In this life, she was a failure. But maybe, in the next life, she will be far more honorable than she had.

So, when she woke up, covered in bandages and her horse sleeping beside her, she nearly balked. "I am..alive?"

Her eyes became wet with tears, "I'm alive..."

Adventure Time ['Svan and Samantha]

Postby Licearsvansan on July 28th, 2013, 10:51 pm

It could be said that Svan had built up a fair bit of stress. Traveling with Samantha was always stressful, but recent events had pushed him over the edge. Now, three trees and a very unfortunate rabbit later, Svan was feeling better. Which meant he was actually feeling worse. Realization had finally hit him and his concience was bearing down on him like a giant. After his rampage had finished Svan sat himself down against the thin base of one of the trees he had decapitated. For roughly a chime Svan sat there holding his hands in his head and trying to figure out exactly at what point in his rage he thought it would be a good idea to kill Samantha. Losing her would make the treck to Lhavit much more difficult, but this was the farthest thing from Svan's mind. He cared about Samantha, perhaps not like a lover or a good friend, but still he cared enough that he didn't want to see her die. At the very least not like this. He couldn't deny it either. He had seen plenty of people crying in their last moments and he had barely even hesitated to kill them. But Kiyeri...The look she had made when death was certain was the very same one the Samantha had given him back when they first met. Back when he had nearly killed her once before.

He wanted to believe that he was better. he wanted to believe that after 17 years of trying he at least would have the strength of will to keep from killing someone who was only trying to help him. However if Kiyeri hadn't made that face, if she had done it even a tick later..."Petch it Samantha! Why didn't you try to dodge?!" Svan asked to the surrounding trees as he uncovered his face. The snake let his eyes sink to the ground. Because you didn't think I would do it. This knowlage above all else was what hurt Svan. She had trusted him, and kept faith that he wouldn't hurt her. And he had failed.

Failing himself was easy. He could play it off, and forget that it ever happened with nothing more than a thought. Sure it would sit in the back of his head, and slowly gnaw away at him from the inside. But its nothing like the pain of disapointing someone else. Because that isn't something that can be buried so easily. His crimes would be laid out before him each and every time he looked into her eyes, and his every action would be placed on trial. And everytime he had to meet her gaze he knew just what the verdict would be. He was guilty, and guilty he would remain.

But whats new? Svan asked himself as he rose back up. He was always at fault for one thing or another, what was one more thing to the list? The thought didn't exactly comfort Svan, but it was enough for him to stop walowing around in his self pity. With a angry tiger brooding not far off Svan's life expectancy was dramaticly lowered. It was best not to waste such precious little time he may have left with useless thoughts. The snake scooped up half of the rabbit he had torn in two, and slithered back towards the others. As he peaked his head out from the brush he was met with the sight of Samantha couched like an animal and ready to pounce. Svan gulped and and the other half of the rabbit traveled further down his throat. it took a brief moment, but Svan soon realized that Samantha wasn't readying herself to attack him. instead he realized that she had been caught off guard and was simply assuming a defensive position to defend the herself and the girl. His first clue was that she had failed to morph back into a tigress. If she knew it was Svan and wanted to attack him she would have morphed immediately and struck him down as he entered. Still, just because she wasn't immediately attacking didn't mean she wouldn't.

As a peace offering of sorts Svan held out the bottem half of the rabbit and smiled meekly. "I'm not going to hurt her." He said as he lifted his hands into the air in surrender. He didn't expect the tiger to completly let down her guard, but he thought her could she her relaxing a bit.

Just as the tension began to die down a voice squeeked out of the woman behind Samantha. "I am..alive?"

Svan fought down the urge to say add a for now.

Suddenly tears began to fill the woman's eyes and she repeated herself as if she couldn't believe the words were true. "Yes, yes, you're alive congratulations. I've been doing it for over a century and you don't see me getting all teary eyed over it." The Dhani's voice cut like a knife though the otherwise silent air. His lisp remained, but it was noticably softer. The Dhani's mouth twisted into a light smirk and an expression that reeked of feigned goodwill lined his face. "Good morning Miss Myrian, I trust you slept well? No more of those bad Dhani nightmares I hope. Perhaps I can offer you something to eat." Svan's voice suddenly went flat and his smile sunk into something of a scowl. "I'm afraid we only have topless rabbit for tonights dinner." Svan threw the rabbit at the Myrian's feet. "Oh, and speaking of topless..." Svan drew his finger to his chest and pointed to it as he stared smugly at the Myrian. "It seems Samantha was rather thorough in applying the medicine I gave her. You know, two nearly naked woman right next to each other in the middle of the woods...Anyone else might start to think things. Lets hope that rumor never spreads." Svan gave the woman a grin that was at least three times too big to mean anything good.

Svan slithered over to a tree and took a seat. "So, you never answered my question. Why shouldn't I kill you?"

She tensed. She was still weak from the night before. Scaltops, as small as they were, could still pack a lethal punch. But Kiyeri's tension came not from her sores, but from the same voice that had been a source of misery for her.

"You."

While she did want to pick up a knife and skin the bastard alive for what he did...she was also grateful that he did not kill her, as twisted as it was.
Nightmares? "What nightmares?" she asked, a part of herself began to wonder if her injury came from a fall.

But that did not matter. She touched the bandages that covered her chest, "I will thank her. And what do you mean, 'rumor'? I am like this all of the time..." The tigress had saved her life, it seems. But she was nowhere to be found. Looking back at the dhani, she hastily grabbed the rabbit's corpse and snapped into it like a starved animal.

She ate for several minutes to give herself some time to think about his question, "Because I...I want to be able to go back home. I..did a bad thing." She wished she could convey her feelings much more better than she did at this moment, but her skills in Common lacked.

"My family hates me." The realization, she had always known, but she never put it into words. They hated her. Her mother, especially. She was a mess up, a mistake, and most of all, a murderer. She had killed her own sister. And she was a drunk. She threw the rabbit's bones onto the ground, " Maybe you should kill me. Be best for me, now."

Adventure Time ['Svan and Samantha]

Postby Licearsvansan on August 8th, 2013, 12:07 am

Svan groaned at the woman's initial answers. Shaking his head in disgust, the snake began to circle around the woman. "My wit is wasted on the young and stupid." He shot her a bothered glare as she began to eat the rabbit. He had brought it for both her, and Samantha. However, it seemed Samantha was still mad at him as it seemed she left to go grab some food of her own. At least she trusts me enough to leave me to guard the Myrian. Svan still couldn't tell whether it was a show of forgiveness from Samantha, or a punishment.

Ignoring his new burden for a while Svan slithered away to go fetch his bag. When he returned the Myrian was still eating the rabbit like some ravenous beast. Not that Svan had any right to judge. The snake continued on without so much as a second glance to the woman, and headed straight for the caltrops he had dropped. He was just about halfway done picking them up when Kiyeri's voice smashed the fragile silence Svan had grown fond of.

"Maybe you just can't understand the very language you're babbling in, but it should be pretty obvious that I'm trying to give you a chance to save your own arse. And I don't know what you think, but this little pity party you're throwing is only making me want to carve myself a hat out of your skull. It would be quite the novel experience I assure you. I mean, for once your skull would actually get to know what its like to have some brains under it!" Svan scoffed lightly, and turned back to picking up the caltrops. He watched over the Myrian loosely with his other senses, and turned his gaze back towards the caltrops. Without looking back he spoke again in a spiteful but moderately interested voice, "So what is the little vagabond's name then?" The Dhani paused for a moment, and then dipped his head slightly towards the woman. "That means you in case you were wondering."

He had to be clear when speaking to such a simpleton after all.
