K tries to be the first to the training grounds but is beat to the punch, apparently someone else likes it early.

Timestamp: 35th Of Spring 513 AV
Early, very early...Time Unknown
Location: The Training Grounds

It had been a long, cold, harsh morning today. Which was not what you would expect in spring, but definitely what you would expect in Syliras. This town filled with knights, sheltered from the outside word, but not from it's temperatures. It was cold, so cold you could see your breath like it was winter, crazy... Feeling like he was always in the same routine, K jumped up early today, sliding on clean clothes rather quickly. Putting on his white gloves, white cloak, white silk scarf, his white shoes and white baggy pants, he looked cold, if anything like snow. Feeling out of place himself, the temperature wasn't so bad , just a shocker. Perhaps it was a warning that winter was just around the corner... Although it had just ended. This thought had vexed him... Deciding not to think about it he galloped away.

He was riding a horse, and just left the stables, making his way to the training grounds. He was a bit in bliss as the quiet town had been dead, although once the sun rose and warmed the hearts and depths of the town it would instantly, be rejuvenated. Riding along on his horse called speed, he could've gotten used to doing this more often, speeding alone in the morning. Not having to avoid trampling any commoners, not having to avoid unwary kids chasing a ball, it felt nice. His cloak flying in the air, it felt if anything like this is how he belonged, a knight... On his horse. He wasn't equipped with much, his daggers, his scythe, both teethed and studded gaunlets, and both of the glyphs bolivar had made for him. Although he wouldn't use them in a million years, he carried them for some reason... Perhaps good luck? After he got them he had been experiencing a spree, perhaps even a third would help. But Bolivar was lazy as heck, and he doubt that he would want to make a third one... This thought made him chuckle as he yanked the reigns forcing his horse to move faster.

Finally he made it to the training grounds, after a bunch of time wasted from him goofing off, he finally made it. Walking in atop of his horse, it was silent, just the way he loved it. The training grounds were dead, and best of all, chump free. Just him, his horse, and- "Cling!" He jumped a bit as he heard a bunch of sounds. Grunts? Slices? What was it? "Yah!" He said as he whipped the reigns, the horse bursting in a short gallop towards the sound. As he was approached the sounds he could see what produced them... Erm... Who produced them. She had that hair... That form.. Those thighs. He smiled a bit while he watched her from a distance, as he remembered Kise patting her down when he taught her to box. So this is his little friend huh? I better at least check if she is strong... Right?" He said slyly as he galloped over to her. Kise, who was sleep from not wanting to watch him ride a horse and doing nothing, had no chance to interfere. As K approached her he couldn't lie... He was interested. The color of her hair proved enough for her to be feisty... Hopefully she was, his favorite. He looked at her as he sat on his horse, the horse moving back and forth impatiently wanting to run more to keep warm.

"Ah... Fallon. What are you doing out here so early?" He said with a sly manner, giving her a charming smile. "You know it's way to early for a lady to be out here..." He was a little mad, that he tried to get out here early and she had beat him. "How long was she here?!" Was all that he could think. Finally getting out of his mind and looking back at her, giving her a small smile. "You know... If you want. I'd like to have a little sparring... " He said softly, looking at her with his brown eyes. "You game?" The horse began to move even more, beginning to become restless. "Hey! Hey! Nenenenen!" He uttered out causing it to stop moving around so much. After all he wasn't the best rider, and it began to become uncomfortable. He looked at Fallon awaiting a flurry of replies and comebacks, hopefully she was in a good mood.

Fallon swung the Tulwar with speed. Perhaps a bit too much speed, because once more the squire found herself stumbling forward. She had the wooden training sword in her hand, the dull thud of it striking the ground. She felt herself tripping over, her feet snagging up, before she heard the sound of hooves behind her. Placing a set of hands on her knees, she turned her head to the source of the sound. She gave a dull blink to the squire on the horse, the tone of voice meeting her ears. She looked upon the rider; her eyebrow raised the mannerisms of him feeling a bit unusual. She knew the face, she knew the name, but something about him did not sit well with her. He seemed too charming in comparison to before, the look too intense in his sight. And then there was a suggestion of combat.

It made her uncomfortable.

Fallon rolled her shoulders back and shifted in the padded armour, her grip changing on the Tulwar. Part of her wanted to accept the challenge of a fight, to go against him in battle. She knew she would end up on her backside – or at least had a good inkling that she would - but it was still practice. She raised her hand in acknowledgement of him.
“Morning Kisetukai,” she changed the air in her lungs and took a strong stride towards him. She watched the horse paw at the ground, restlessness taking its form. The squire that rode it however seemed to lack in confidence in its control. Her eyes briefly darted to it, then back to its rider as she closed in upon them. Something still did not feel right, but it did not stop her from getting closer “Up early I see?”
She was close now, her hands within reach of the horse and its bridal if she so desired to reach out and grab it. She however was looking upon him as always, the wooden sword now resting upon her shoulder. She looked for the most part relaxed, but also as if she was able to leap into training once more. She watched the horse give a snort, as if displeased by the cool morning spring air. It was understandable to say the least, if one did not keep moving in this sort of climate the chill quickly reached the flesh. Fallon gave a shrug.
“You want to spar?” she turned her eyes to the horse “If you’re going to spar then you better go send the horse back. Let someone whose needs to use it use it. Instead of it standing around not doing a lot.”

She turned on her heel and marched herself away, clicking her neck as she went once more to practice her fighting form. The more she practiced, the more she felt comfortable with the blade and its use. She gave a nod to Kisetukai, before turning her back on him. If he was to come over she would no doubt hear him, but until then she was going to work on what was necessary. She pointed the point of the Tulwar forward, her right hand holding tightly onto the hilt the other hovering to the side of the wooden blade. It helped her in understanding the size of the piece with it there. She gave a stab forward with it, her arm extending out with it. Create confidence with it and then the true potential of the weapon can be achieved.

“If you’re going to spar then you better go send the horse back. Let someone whose needs to use it use it. Instead of it standing around not doing a lot.”

K gave her an annoyed look as she turned around, the stare so sharp and hot it could've burned her back. As he watched her he spoke aloud, still wanting to test her strength. "I understand... Fallon." He was still getting used to her name, hopefully that wouldn't prove to be much of a problem. "Neigh..." He said as he turned around his horse. "I will be back..." He said as he rode off at a simple gallop. He arrived at a series of weapon racks, eyeing them all, as his horse warmed back up. "Perfect." He rode by the rack and slid out a scythe quickly, wobbling a bit on the horse, this was very annoying. "Speed! Stop bouncing so much!" He yelled at the horse sharply. "Making little noises he warned the horse to calm down, tapping it with his left foot to turn and move forward. Galloping back to Fallon, she was still training of course, with that tulwar... Such a short weapon, compared to his scythe, he'd love to see it in action.

"Fallon.. I have returned." He called out as he jumped off the horse with a bit of a stumble, finally regaining his composure, he looked at her intently. Using both hands he began to spin the acute around his body near his waist, then moving on to spinning it counter clockwise in front of him, then planting it upwards at his side in a grim reaper stance. "That's my favorite horse.. I'm not getting rid of him." He took a step closer and lowered his body. "Now... Prepare yourself miss Skylar, I show now mercy, even in practice. On my honor as a knight, goodluck." Quick? Yes, he was rushing into battle but nonetheless K was cocky. He wasn't even good with his scythe at all, it was really for show, and that spinning he did... It was a last resort. If that didn't scare her, then... Well it was gonna be a long day.

Fallon heard the horse, she did not even bother to turn round to face him in her training. She kept herself focused, her stance maintained, the occasional sidestep as she envisioned a foe before her. She did not make any swings, instead she practiced stepping into the attack and closing the distance. As the blade tip thrusted forward she followed after it, and minimising the space not only between her ‘foe’ but the blade and her actual body. She heard the words of Kiseteukai, if it was him. His tone she slowly began to notice was off. She gave a glance over at the boy as he tried to show off with his Scythe. His weapon had easily double the reach she had with the Tulwar, but even she knew that it was more of a tool than an actual device used for warfare. She adjusted her grip on the hilt of the tulwar, narrowing her mind on what the next course of action was.

Recklessness and his willingness to jump into combat slowly began to confirm her thoughts. Kisetukai was not like this before, nor was he so arrogant in his actions. She clicked her neck, her eyes looking upon the wooden scythe with careful thought. He was itching for battle, and although he seemed confident enough, Fallon was not about to put it past him for lacking in his ability. Not that she could talk, she may have played a bit with the Tulwar, and slightly more with the Kukri, but she was still a novice at heart. She brought the blunt edge of the Tulwar close her, the inner curve resting against her left arm that she tucked in between. It would serve as a brace and be of use for when pushing off an attack. After all for the moment she would plan to play on the defence, to test and judge this ‘Kisetukai’ or whoever he may have been. Fallon gave a nod, and took a basic stance a distance away resting on the balls of her feet. Her shoulders curled inwards slightly, minimising her size and her knees bent in aid to give her a bit of quickness. Or in theory at least, she did not know his speed. Judging by the size of it would most likely be broad slashes instead of any stabs.

Scythes were used for cutting grass after all.

“When you’re ready then,” she prepared herself for jumping backwards and out of the way of the swing, if he ever came at her that was.
Evade and analyse. Evade and analyse.

Without taking a moment to waste on breathing regulation, K shot at Fallon, he knew that she had a smaller ranged weapon and was prepared for her to step in and try to land a blow. This was his quick battle assumption. As he ran at her, he decided that he was going to take the brute approach and try to over power such a small weapon. Running at her with a decent speed he kept lept into the air, his cloak flapping vigorously, a smile on his face. "Gotta dodge!" He said loudly as he swung downwards in an arc, he made sure to turn his scythe to left so he could then use the momentum for another swing. Without having much control of the scythe he found himself swinging wildly back in the air, hammering down as the first attack, except this time he lost control. Spinning wildly counter clockwise spinning towards her, the boy lost control and ended up throwing the scythe spinning wildly at her. He was unsure what do to now... It was clearly a bad move on his part, but being pushed against all odds. It felt good... He stood looking at her blankly with a nervous face. He was prepared... Was he? Fallon wasn't that good with that weapon but... She could still slash. "Hey... Can I get my scythe back?" He said softly. It was worth a shot right?

Right?

Fallon watched the dramatic display of movement as he came towards her, his wild leap into the air as the scythe came downwards. She took the opportunity in his gaining momentum for his flamboyant attack to step backwards and to create distance. She did not reach out and strike at him; she simply kept her guard up as the tip arched downwards and to get out of the way of the after effect. It was after all her priority to learn about his style of combat instead of racing in. After all, watching revealed so much about a person. She watched him loose control of the swing, and the wooden scythe being lost. She barely had time to think about getting out of the way again, and dived to her right as it wheeled overhead.
Gods. He’s an idiot for trying to show off like that. She heard it clatter to the floor nearby, and as she pushed herself from her crouch, she looked upon the nervous face of the boy before her.

He was no warrior. He was no fighter outside of using his fists. And when swarmed by enemies all armed with knives and blades, he would not stand a chance. Even if he was armoured. She knew that, her patron had drilled it into her for a while after all. She returned her stance, looking back at Kisetukai and advancing slowly upon the unarmed opponent. Her body twisted so the heavy point of the Tulwar would have pointed towards him, her free hand still hovering above the blunt edge of the blade.
“In battle and the midst of a true fight,” she gave him a tap in the chest with the sword “Do you really think that the enemy would let you claim your weapon.” Her voice was cold. Very cold, and surprisingly so for Fallon. An element of venom crackled in the back of it, along with the sound of experience from a real fight. Of one that would truly be one of life and death. She knew her tone would not be appreciated by the boy, but right now it seemed to be the only way to get it across to him.
“Be it beast or be it man, if they wanted you dead they would not hesitate to run you through and end you in a heartbeat,” She shook her head and turned away. The girl squire took up a stance once more; her eyes growing sharp and focused upon the boy “Start again. When you’re ready.”

That crappy wooden tulwar, stabbing into his chest, touching his soul. Not only did the sword touching him affect him, but her words, they had no love behind them. She seemed to be serious about her lesson, which was the best way to learn of course, but from a girl. He wouldn't be beaten by a woman, he couldn't be beaten by a woman. He walked over to the scythe, stepped on the end of the head, forcing the scythe to 'jump. Quickly grabbing it out of the hand with one hand, he smirked as he returned back to his original spot, feeling a bit angry and annoyed. "Can't play around with this wench any longer..." He muttered out barely audible. As he looked at her with a serious gaze, crouching a bit, holding his scythe in his right hand with his real fighting pose. "Nope... You don't get another chance." Said Shin as he popped out of nowhere. K stood up straight and mumbled a bit, totally confused. "What? What do you mean..." K said as he tried to assess the situation. "It's brother's turn to train..." Shin said as his voice faded away. "Wait no! I can still-" K was interrupted as he loss control of the body, stumbling a bit, as a confused and dumbfounded Kise took control. "K... What's going on here?" Kise asked as e gripped an uncomfortable scythe. "You supposed to be fighting Fallon..." K said with an annoyed voice.

"What if I don't want to fight Fallon?" Kise said with a bit of resistance and hesitation. "Look... If you fight her... I won't smoke for a week. Well if you win at least. And don't worry it's just practice..." Kise let out a small smile, trying to make the best of this reality. "This isn't my fight... But if so... I can't use this." He said as he tossed down the scythe, he began to walk over to the horse, finally stopping to grab his studded gaunlets. As he walked back to Fallon he held a blank face, seeming a bit sad he would have to fight his friend but was happy when he thought of it as just sparring. He stood different, he talked different, he even walked different. Because he was different. "Fallon... I will try to give you a good fight, and end this quickly in the process." He said as he slammed the studded gaunlets together on the knuckles. They covered his fist and arms up about four inches to his elbow. As he looked at her he wanted to be sure not to hurt her, how could he do it without hurting her?

Breaking her weapon. Of course.

Kise unsnapped all the chains connecting the cloak to his body, also slid out of his tee shirt, tossing both in a pile with the scythe. He lowered his body, but kept his shoulders up and he went into a crouch. Bending his knees slightly, he took up the true stance, beginning to sway until he reached a fast speed. "Perfect... Just use half of my power with full speed, I can give her the illusion of my true power." He mumbled. He quickly lunged for her, starting off with a right hook aimed at her head, he was sure she would dodge but just in case he was sure to make it weak. Hopefully she would dodge to the other side, in which he shifted his body weight and swung a left hook focused on her right ribs, hopefully this would slow her down. As his weave completed he 'bobbed', stepping forward quickly as he came forward with two right jabs then a left hook to bring her back. He quickly jumped back unsure if she had touched him or vice versa, as he stood swaying with his fist raised covering his expression. "Now... Does she think that's my full power? Next combo I'm gonna snap that sword with a tiger punch." He mumbled out softly in between each of his breaths. Staring her down, he hated to fight his friend, but then again... It was just a spar.

Fallon did not dodge. Or more over did not have the time to dodge. For all of Kisetukai’s good intentions, Fallon got hit. It would have been easier for him to simply request not to fight, that he had changed his mind on sparing. It was he who made the challenge to begin with, not her. It would not be her own pride that she would have to suck up. Still the damage was done. She went with the swing of the blow, not even blocking, feeling steel and studs crack her across the side of her head. The girl went with it, feeling herself being thrown to the side with the blow. She gave a gasp and staggered back at the blow across the ribs, the stance she once held being lost. She threw her foot back, the hand holding the Tulwar shooting behind her. She had not really advanced, if anything she had retreated, shoulders hunching inwards. She gave a lurch forward when the second wave of punches dragged her in, head sinking her sword arm hanging limp.

She stood there swaying, the dull ached against her head from where the gauntlets hit. It would no doubt bruise and leave an ugly mark whilst it healed. There was not a lot she could do about that. But during all that dizzying pain, did Fallon hold onto focus. She observed the hits and the movements, barely counting the timing between strikes. She solidified her stance once more, a woozy head looking towards his feet and the shadow. She licked her lips, feeling a bitter taste growing in her mouth as she raised her sight to him.
“You know,” she spat as she placed a foot forward “If you had a change of heart you could just walk away.”
The Squire straightened herself out, her grip on the Tulwar changing once more. A keen sharpness began to grow there, her lip curling as her mind caught onto previous occasions of combat. She remembered the wolves from the wild lands, she remembered the bandits that almost got her group killed. And it was those thoughts that made her blood begin to boil. But Fallon still had yet to strike back.

Inhaling, she brought the blade up beside and behind her, her posture changing so she stood side on to him and movement ready to attack. The tip of the blade pointed downwards and towards what would have been the throat of a person who stood opposite her. It meant that the moment he came even within arm’s reach of her free hand it would come slicing down. It was a stance that was common with those who were highly trained with a longs word. Her left hand, her free hand, was opened and curled slightly, designed to reach out and grab at anything.
“Unless you want to back out,” she tilted her head and gave a wince “When you’re ready.”

“Unless you want to back out,” she tilted her head and gave a wince “When you’re ready.”

These words echoed into his head, as he stopped a bit, his true fighting stance dying out. "Oh..I have the option to back out?" He mumbled to himself. Of course he had the option to back out, what was he thinking? He was his own free person now, originally if K told him to do something he would do it submissively like some dog, but that wasn't the case anymore. The case was that he could do whatever he wanted.

He lowered his arms, finally resting them at his side as he exhaled and talked to his brother. "So... I'm sorry K but this isn't for me." Kise mumbled out a bit hoping Fallon wouldn't pay much attention to it. "I understand, Kise... But." K replied to him sharply. This caused Kise to gag a bit on the inside, for K didn't even try to refuse or yell at him... But he understood? What was happening to K? Why had he been acting so, lenient lately. Even exercise wasn't the same, with Kise being able to back out as soon as pain formed they weren't making much progress.

It had gotten so bad that Kise wanted to train more, because the simple lack of it, and hopes of the fact they wouldn't lose the precious body they were blessed with. But now... What about the situation that faced him. He couldn't just back out. Except now he could. There was a choice... He had a choice. But he wasn't the same kid as a year ago, to be honest even a season ago. Why was this? Nobody knew. Even the roles of the brothers had flipped, with Kise becoming more dominant and serious and K becoming more depressed and down. Why...

"Miss Skylar... I promised you a spar. That's what you will get. Please, show me your swordsmanship.

With that being said he instantly swung up his original fighting stance, dropping his center of gravity and swaying. Zooming up to Fallon with one huge step, his body full of kinetic energy, he started up his plan to end the match. Raising his right arm horizontally over his head to block a heavy downwards slice, he felt as she had an opening, thrusting his left fist into a straight towards her chest. The old Kise would have strayed from aiming for such a spot, but the new boy was a fighter, he had no such thoughts during battle.

He knew that she either had three options to making it out from that strong barrel of a straight. She would take it to the body, absorbing all of energy, well enough that got past that dull vest. Or she could either dodge it left or right, this was also another thought in his mind. And finally if she had the speed she could quickly jump back to avoid the blow, but she would have to be quick to avoid the vicious blow. It was aimed to go through the armor and wind her hopefully, but if that didn't happen, pushing her back would have been great also. As long as she moved.

He then would would retract his left arm, twisting his body counter clockwise, using the momentum to launch a deadly right hook aimed at her cheek. This would most likely result in pure contact or a graze, either way he would then spring forward with three left jabs, only retracting his arm about three inches for back recoil. The he would begin to use the new unarmed combat he had been working on, a spinning back heel leg sweep, lowering his body and finally spinning clockwise to knock her off her feet. Since he was pretty low in unarmed it would most likely result in an evade on Fallon's part. If not a simple step through to slash him, then it would force her to jump.

Regardless if this worked or not, he would be expecting her to be in mid jump, coming down to slash him, or some simple evade. He instantly and naturally jumped up, using the momentum of the simple novice leg sweep to spring up with a huge cutting left uppercut. This uppercut used some of his natural strength but mainly gravity going against it's own self. He aimed at her waist, hoping his huge fist would 'cut' through her vest and work it's way up to her chin. Finally it this caused her to jump back or her head to fling back from recoil, he would then launch his final attack to keep her on the move.

Throwing a devastating right straight, he ended, huffing and puffing. Finally taking a step back for a change, resting his body as he began to think. He grew tired but definitely would not show it, as a boxer he couldn't show it. As he finally watched her reactions he was unsure if he hit, to be honest he was scared that he had took a lot of slashes and strikes. It was unclear, and only time would tell. "Fallon..." He said aloud. Still swaying and bouncing trying to hide his pain, if she would just give up... Then the pain could stop. But nonetheless he promised a fight. So it only just mattered.

Fallon's condition would be the main factor if this fight would end, or go another round. So what was her condition?

oocOk I know.. I have taken forever. Please give me some time. And for everyone reading this, I am busy yes. If we are in the middle of a thread expect a reply. I'm not gonna take that much longer.

If there anything that Fallon had noticed about the boy was that he had a tendency to go for the upper half of her. Ribs, chest, head, he seemed uninterested in anything lower. Currently at least. She watched him sway on the spot as he contemplated his next move, whilst she herself held the mimicked sword stance she had seen from others. Yet as he stepped forward, did the girl squire place her left hand into the inside of her padded jacket and held it there for a moment. She felt the tenderness that had formed across her ribs, and she wince. Later she decided she would grab Orion to take a look.

Withdrawing her hand and rolling her shoulders, she watched the world slow as he closed in. She felt the punch go to her chest, the force behind it rippling through the padded jacket. An advantage of such an article, a duller of blows from blunted objects- including fists. Still never the less she did not dig her feet in to take the blow; instead she embraced it her legs springing her back with the momentum behind it. The energy caused made her teeth clench, her brow turning into a scowl as he threw a wide right hook. Where ever it was aimed was not her concern, she was still in the process of moving backwards.

Her feet hit the ground, her knees bending as she felt the impact race up her legs. Yet as she hit that surface did she feel the rebound of it come back to her. By now Kisetuka had sprung after, a flurry of punches following suit, and Fallon did not wait around to feel them upon her. She used the spring back to throw herself to his left, her shoulder hitting the floor as she rolled into a crouch. She had made space again, the leg sweep skimming past her as she caught her breath. She heaved, feeling the air change in her lungs, her sweating hand gripping tighter to the hilt. She had yet to throw a blow on him; there was little time between his powerful blows to do so. As he leapt to his feet, Fallon went forward. She kept herself low, pushing herself off sharply with the Tulwar hugged close to her. It was amusing to see him expect her hovering above him, as if she was to reign down upon him from above. As the upper cut lifted above him and reached its climax did she indeed finally leap at him.

She was well within range now, her left hand held open and ready to grab at his face or throat, whilst her right went back so the point of the wooden Tulwar came level with her own head. The right fist came out, and she forced herself to contort to avoid it, muscles straining and complaining as they were forced into an unwilling movement. She felt it catch against her right side, forcing her to continue to twist so her body was at angles to him. But she was still moving, her knee raised and tucked against her front. Her intent was to tackle and to throw her weight against him, to force him backwards whilst the Tulwar came shooting downwards.

Fallon watched him huff as he spoke her name, but it did not stop her, she had no time to stop when the pulling motion of gravity and energy beckoned her to move. She struck at him the wooden sword going down to pierce at him instead of slash and her hand reached out to grab him by the throat. The rest of her of course, followed suit.

oocRight, in the last post you did I counted 8 separate moves made towards Fallon.

I know you want to write a lot about what you do and that, but you need to break it down to fewer moves. It’s a bit annoying reading about 8 punches and if they hit. It makes it hard to create a reaction for Fallon in the combat. It’s a bit like if I suddenly whacked you 8 times in one post it would be hard for you to write a reaction. All in all, it isn’t very fun.

4 attacks I can deal tops and relatively well because it helps in creating a middle ground where Fallon can establish – yet again- a reaction and also get an attack instead of constantly defending and so writing about it. On average however people only go for about 2 hits or attacks a turn. Also don’t make presumptions on what other characters are going to do. Hence another reason to produce less moves, so you actually know what the character is doing and helps in making it flow better.

Fallon is a Master of Intimidation, "At this level, a Master intimidator often unconsciously intimidates their target unless the intimidator monitors their stance, tone, and actions to prevent this. Master intimidators will nearly always have a reputation that precedes them unless they have taken special care to prevent it."
