Cooks and Musicians Wanted!

So, I'm starting a sweets shop business (along with my IC cousin, Dahlia Arundel) in Syliras, and I am in need of some assistance!
I need people who are interested in becoming cooks and musicians at my shop. I feel that it would be a lot more fun and realistic if the employees were all or mostly Player Characters, and not NPCs. For more details and information on this business, there is a Plotnotes page for it right here.

If you'd like to be a cook, you'll need to be at least Competent in cooking, or nearly getting there. (Note: If you are not willing to become a cook here, I am also looking for someone who is open to teaching, as I would like Sigrun to learn the skill as well!)
If you'd like to perform as a singer or musician, you'll also need to be at least Competent in your instrument and/or in singing, or nearly there.
I am also looking for Manpower. There is something that I need built (an Ice House, to be specific) and if it gets approved to be placed on the Price List, I'll need some help digging the thing out and building it. So, if anybody has the strength (or even better, the Carpentry), I need you!
The in-character conceptualization of this business is scheduled to begin during the Summertime, but the actual business may begin in the late Summer or the beginning of Fall. The development will all depend on the circumstances.

Job Descriptions Cooks Most of your time will be spent baking. This means that you'll be creating a lot of pastries and cakes, and will have an oven and the necessary ingredients/utensils at your disposal. Since the shop is small, you won't have an immensely large amount of things to make; just a couple of batches of certain treats, and then you'll be done for the day, as the shop is only open from the morning until early/mid afternoon. You may be sent on errands to buy ingredients, but the money will never be from your pocket. You can view the menu and recipes in the shop's plotnotes page linked above. Servers You will be responsible for plating the pastries and bringing them over to the customers, as well as delivering them their drinks. Plating won't be an elaborate art, although you can turn it into one, it's completely up to you! You can maximize your imagination and creativity into plating the food, or you can simply make sure they look neat and presentable. When you're not serving any food, you could be manning the bar. While this will be tiring, you won't be requiring any special skills (but you'll definitely be getting points for socialization because of your work, and that's a huge plus). You'll clock in in the morning and leave in the early/mid afternoon. Masseuse & Musicians You don't have to come to the shop every single day. Your schedule is yours to make, but you'll have to attend to your job at least a certain number of times a season. Of course, your pay will depend on how often you come along. You can stay for a couple minutes, an hour, or during the entire time the shop is open; do some singing and massaging, then leave. It's all up to you! Which means you can still work multiple jobs as your schedule will be very flexible. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Although I'm not sure if I'm going to require you to work at the shop everyday (this is not the same as having a thread showing you cooking at the shop for every single day of the season), as I may plan to have certain dates where it will be closed, but you will be informed right away of the scheduling. Your pay will depend on what the Price List states! Also, your payment will come from submitting Job threads (IC: The Knights pay your wages), but I'm not a hundred percent sure about this. |
