Trega excepted the form from the man and looked it over carfully. Another hunter it seemed, and in the right season for the job as well. "I think this job will do well in this time of the season, and you can also sell your kills to the local merchants for extra coin."

Matthew

The next man to come to the desk seemed very focused and even brought in a form that he had already filled out to go alone with the one the office offered. Trega looked them both over and glanced up at the man with a grin on her face. "The Heralds Arms would be perfect for you."

Istril

Trega liked the look of this woman, and she seemed the type to be a hard worker. The patron looked over the sheet and nodded to the woman kindly. "I believe that you can find work at the The Ironworks or Sultros Blades."

Vassarka Oleander

Trega was pretty sure that she had seen this woman before, but she wasn't sure. The dark hair and very pale skin certainly were features she wouldn't forget. "Yes dear, we do have an Apothecary Shop in the city. You should head over and have a talk with the owner."

Zaed Martel

This next man reminded Trega of the Akalak, but also of pirates strangely. He looked strong, and she thought she had a job in mind for him and after reading his form she smiled. "Have you ever thought of being a guard? I hear the Spinning Coin is in need of more."

ViKtoricus Fergoozo

To the next young man, Trega nodded him over and took his sheet. "A mercenary, I see. Such work isn't easy to come by depending on what you're prepared to do, but you are welcomed to give it a try. Good luck."

Ana

Trega was confused by the young woman and slipped in, and wasn't sure who to hand her form off to. Trega took it and found herself arching a brow after reading it. "Well dear, maybe you can find work as a beggar? Or..They could use someone at the docks to scrub the decks...or would you be interested in brawling for coin?"

Ever Indio

The last to step in seemed rather busy, or just in a plain hurry. Trega took the form and looked it over then spoke with the woman. "The Soothing Waters could use a doctors assistant, interested?"

Summer 10th, 513AV

Well that wasn't what Ana had expected, she was certain her keypoint had been 'running' so she could perform any type of service that required quick runners to go about the different places.. but Ana did not know this city, so it wouldn't have mattered any ways. She placed the canesword in the crook of her arm so she could rub her hands together in thought, contemplating the three options presented. "You sure there isn't anything else.." it wasn't really a question, more of a voiced thought. Being a beggar was one of the reasons Ana had left Nyka, so she wouldn't have to beg, and she couldn't really fight to save her life despite putting down 'a bit of fighting' into the application.

"Scrubbing the decks doesn't.." The voiced thought ceased as a metaphorical candle alit itself above her head. An idea had occurred to Ana, a delicious one. "Actually, working at the docks sounds like a fantastic idea.. I guess as long as I don't fall in the water.. Point me in the direction I would need to go." Ana graced a tired smile, filled with much deviance, and a renewed vigor. Where there were ships, there were shipments, and where there were shipments, there was bound to be valuable cargo worth filching from in small amounts; and Ana wouldn't be in Syliras for very long in the first place. It was the perfect set up, they wouldn't know what hit them.

"Thanks," she started off, taking the canes handle in hand again "oh, and would you know where this Traveller's Row place is? Could use a room, would be much appreciated, m'am.." Ana added the m'am part to be a little more polite with the woman, the thief was even willing to go as far as forgive the sarcasticly seeming response about begging or brawling..

Ever grinned widely as she heard that a doctors assistant job was available! To her that was a dream! Earning money while helping others, and possibly learning a few skills while she was at it.
"That would be absolutely perfect!" she exclaim, a wide smile slipping onto her face! "Thank you very much ma'am!" she said, bowing her head slightly. "I have one further question? Where in this city, is Soothing Waters?"

[Syliras Location] Welcome Center/Employment Office

Postby Tiernan Swiftriver on July 1st, 2013, 1:08 am

Timestamp: 3rd Day of Summer, 513 AV.

A sea shanty drifted softly through the air as soon as Tiernan entered into the Welcome center. It was a song he had been singing on his entier walk from the great harbor from his Casinor. "Oh light, oh light. Leth's moonlight... Long we've tossed on rolling'toiling seas. Zulrav's wind's luff flapping sail, a wind so rough a sailors fail. From moon to sun the night had gone till Syna grace so caring fell. And dawn to dusk the sails move on, full'draw a'sails a'flowing." The stack of papers at the entrance caught his attention as he picked one up, noticing it was something he needed to fill out. He began to repeat the words to the shanty song as he started to fill out the form.

Name: Tiernan Swiftriver
Race: Svefra
Age: 25 years old, (26 years old on the 25th day of Summer)
Relevant Skills: Sailing, fishing, swimming, drawing, and astronomy.
Preferred Employment: Fisherman.
Expected Stay In Syliras: Summer and Fall. Possibly longer.

He had to stand in line for a few chimes where he spent the time singing and randomly fidgeting with the scarf wrapped around his neck. Once he finally found himself standing in front of the secretary's desk, Tiernan handed the paper to the secretary with a smile as he finally stopped singing. Considering he just handed the woman a form with his name on it, he didn't feel the need to introduce himself since she now knew quite a bit of information about him.

Trega chuckled at the odd young woman. She was different, not exactly in a good or bad way...just odd. The old patron waved the girl off and smiled again. "Dear, if you want a job it's best if you have some idea what you can do..otherwise you might end up working in the mines." She chuckled again, thinking about all the people that had come in with no skills and no idea what a job was, but yet they found their way into her office anyway.

"You look like you have strong legs, would you be interested in work as a courier?"

Trega waited for an answer, though she imagined to get the same as before from the confused woman. "And..Traveller's Row is right across the way here."

Ever Indio

"The Soothing Waters is in the Nettle District. It's just a little further into the city."

Tiernan Swiftriver

Treag had noticed the man singing to himself in the line. It was good to see someone with lifted spirits coming through. Many people who entered the city were down, tired among other things and generally not in the best of mood, so to see someone with an up beat attitude was nice.

"A fisherman, well you arrived at the right time. The docks have been very busy lately, and we have more ships and boats also."

"Great. The Herald's Arms it is. Sign me up." He offered her a polite smile, leaning against the desk, blue eyes staring patiently into her own. "I'll work any position, though I would be best as one of the pleasure-givers. I cannot dance, nor can I play an instrument." He paused a moment, then tilted his head, having to mull over the question a bit before asking it. "Have you ever been there? Can you speak for the quality of the establishment and its workers?"

"Luck of the wind that'aye sailed into the city at just the right time. Aye'have seen all the ships at port myself." He playfully smiled before quietly laughing. "Aye'll not stop until aye have worked my way into a fish boating crew." Tiernan quickly trailed off, chuckling quietly as a question was clearly forming in his mind from the smirk on his lips. "If aye'can't find a spot on a fishing boats crew, are there any markets 'er' butcher shops around where aye'can sell my own freshly caught fish?"

Ana wouldn't reveal she never actually 'worked' for her way of living, but the older woman seemed to hit the bullseye dead center. Never in her life had she actually worked a real job, and she was ashamed to call taking care of horses a job itself, how she hated Spires for that along with many other reasons. She wasn't really in a mood to argue, and if she were to be honest with herself.. Well the smile weakened a bit as her expression betrayed her earlier response, she didn't really want to scrub the decks, or be near water as much as pilfering from ships sounded like a great idea, she could make use of either situation.. Petch, she needed to be decisive, it was either be a courier, or a deck scrubber.

"Courier sounds better than deck scrubber, I can probably run faster than I can actually clean.. So yes, please" Though she couldn't promise her curiousity wouldn't get the better of her. Ana fumbled with her hands a bit nervously, knowing she looked, and sounded a fool "er, I apologize for being any trouble. Thanks though, when do I start?"

Trega was surprised at the man's question, and what he could possibly be trying to alure to. But instead of answering him, she simply wrote a note of a slip of parchment and handed it to him. "I'm sure they were be grateful to have you."

Tiernan Swiftiver

A sense of humor was as good as one could hope, Trega always said and smiled towards the giggly man. "Yes dear, there are markets here to sell your catches."

Ana

"Oh good." Trega said, a bit shocked. For a moment, she thought that she would have her hands full with this one. 'You can start right away, check the docks first and make your way back into the city."
