Closed Crunching Numbers (Castor Riley)

Timestamp: Summer 2, 513 AV Leila had a professional date today, with one Castor Riley. They'd met at her grand opening, and after some small talk, Castor was going to help Leila get her books and other such paperwork for her shop in order. But first things first, they were going to do some business research in the Library. She'd purchased two empty books, one for research notes, and one to use as an official business ledger. She was carrying both, along with her art kit, in her backpack as she made her way to the Library. Leila remembered her few other attempts at using this library, most not going well at all, full of frustration at the snobbish students that frequented there. But Castor was a kind man, intelligent, and cute, so very cute. Leila had her hair tied up in a pony tail again, like she always did whenever she had to do a lot of reading or writing, dressed in her work clothes. She had cleaned earlier, even chewed on some mint leaves and used other herbs, so she could look and smell better than her normal working woman self. Castor was a man she hoped to impress. She'd said she would meet him at the entrance to the library, as she had gotten lost literally every time before when she'd come here. She eventually found it, and began loitering around the entrance, avoiding the gazes of the students that came and went, waiting on mister Riley. Grading ModeratorPurchase: Book, Blank x2 = 6gm

Castor had finally finished his shift at the library. The problem was, it had taken half a bell to convince the student that had taken up his time that the library did not in fact carry summoning books for masters (and if it did, Castor had no intention of finding himself chased by an other-worldly horror by giving one to a novice). Almost any other day, this delay would have meant little to the man. However, today he had a date. No, he had a meeting, he corrected himself mentally, with the lovely Miss Hughes. Somehow they'd gotten to talking about Castor's days of tending a stall in Syliras at her shop's opening and she'd asked for his help. Castor didn't know much about keeping a proper shop organised, which he felt would be rather different to how a stall is, but he could at the very least help her research it and share what experience he did have. He hurried nervously towards the library's entrance, where he had been supposed to meet her quite a while ago, hoping she had not tired of waiting on him and left.

Evidently, she had, for when Castor reached the library doors and looked around, she was nowhere to be found. He stood there, waiting for almost an entire bell, before admitting to himself that she had simply gone. He sighed, chiding himself on not dealing with the insistent student faster and more efficiently. He would have to meet up with Leila at some point and apologise for his lateness. He trudged towards his dorm room, disappointed.
