The Great Bazaar, 14th of Bell, 20th of Summer 513 A.V

It was another fine day in Syliras, specifically in the ever bustling Great Bazaar. People coming here and there, goods and mizas being exchanged. Merchants promoting and would-be customers examining wares.

A... clay statue in the shape of a rat could be seen hidden between the merchant's stalls, rubbing his hands and counting the "loots" he got from today's job. Ten gold mizas and a gem, not bad, not bad at all. This rat was, in fact, a Pycon called "The Street Rat" or "Rat" for short, he was the (in)famous Syliran Information Broker; offering the service of spying, investigating, and selling information to interested parties "Ahahaha! Sir Belmont always give me the best jobs! Wonder why that fatty needs so much info anyway? Eh... humans" He shrugged and kept on examining his loots.

The squire known as Ball had found himself in the Great Bazaar, it was a busy day it seemed as usual for the place yet this is the first time Ball has ever been here noticing it. Pausing on dog-back the pycon surveyed his surroundings, there were so many larger pycons around and he didn’t want to be trampled on by their inability to look around. The squire know all to well their lack of observation and he nor Imass the mount needed to be trampled on, last Winter was bad enough on the dog, the season before that brutal on the Pycon, both situations have left them mentally exhausted and emotionally drained.

The day had just begun when he could hear the squawk of vendors hawking their wares to passerbys but underneath it all, barely heard over the din above was the voice of a earthy sort… Ball whipped his being to the side to see the rat-shaped pycon talking loudly to himself and counting what appeared to be payments of sorts. Tapping Imass with a tentacle the duo trotted over to him before stopping and allowing the tentacle and round pycon to drop to the ground. “Hel.Oh.” [‘Hello’] His speech was improving slowly.

As Ball is getting closer and closer to maxing out Pyken as a skill, I would like to request that in places where Ball is not doing enough to constitute Pyken XP if Pyken technique lores could be issued instead.

Examples of proper XP level for Pyken would be: Ball developing or refining his technique by adding new thing against an actual moving target, not a dummy.

The use of basic skills alone are not enough to accomplish XP at Ball's current level of Pyken.

Thank you.

"Hm? Oh! A dog!" Rat rubbed his snout and looked up to the sudden appearance of a dog rid by a... fellow Pycon, Rat knew this one, it's one of the squires named "Ball".

"Heya, Ball brother! How's life going?" He waved and approached closer to his kin, not a tinge of nervousness or fear on his rodent face. He extended a paw and shook one of Ball's tentacles "Why are you here? Aren't you training hard to be a knight? Haha! I hope you'll gain the 'Ser' title soon!" He said excitedly, befitting of a Pycon.

Ball would’ve blinked if he had the proper facial structure to at the sly Pycon, but he didn’t. Instead he waited for the twittering and overly excited Pycon to finish babbling, a small hint of annoyance tugged at the only facial structure he had, his mouth. It screwed itself up greatly as he tried to recall the rat-figures name but failed horridly, names were his downfall after all…

“Ly.If.Fa.Go.Za.” [‘Life goes.’] The pycon bubbled outwardly. He still needed to get better at speaking, it was a slow process but one he was sure to figure out. As it goes his speaking has improved since a year ago this season. Regardless though when the bubbly ‘rat’ finished his fit of laughter the squire paused,

“I.Vis.It. Ter.An.La.Tur.” [‘I visit. Train later.’] Another thing Ball lacked in his vocalization was emotions, but his mouth creasing in determination to figure out the pycon-before-him’s name was a dead obvious trait in his obvious mental task.

What is his name!! Gah, I was told it from the other knights, told to watch out for him, but name… name I can’t recall… Rat Pycon? Yes. He is a rat… So that must be it… Rat Pycon.

"Hm? What you say? Can't understand!" Rat rubbed his ears, obviously trying to understand Ball's broken speech. But due to his social skills in dealing with various kind of patrons, Rat managed to catch some gist of it "Ah, Life goes? That's right, that's right! But sure you did something interesssting! Being a squire and all hahahaha! I, myself, do something interesting everyday, people always want my help! You know, like that one strange fello-" The Rat kept on rambling about various random things, but mostly about the various things he did.

After about five chimes, Rat still didn't realize that Ball was getting annoyed, Rat merely patted his tentacles and rubbed his whiskers "Anyways, are you here for some help? I can do almost anything! Well except beating people up, I prefer running, not strong like you see? Hahaha! There's one time that I almost got crush-" He rambled again and would continue to do so unless Ball stopped him.

The rambling was starting to get on the spherical-named Pycon. Screwing his mouth up tightly he nearly growled, but refused to do so. The sound would alert the rat-faced weasel of a Pycon to his intentions, and that just wouldn’t do. The unarmed-trained squire coiled a tentacle tightly as he listened to the yammering, the tighter Ball coiled it the faster and harder the impact would be, but the tightening was starting to fuse the clay of his tentacle together and soon Ball knew he would lose all the built up momentum if he kept it going so he just held it, allowing the annoyance to build up.

Blah… Blah… Blah… That’s it he bugs me… And Ball just couldn’t resist anymore and released the coiled tentacle straight towards the Rat’s face, the intent was a combination of a slap and a wrapping around of the Rat’s upper nose ridge and lower jaw.

If the proper impact resulted, the middle of Ball’s tentacle would slap the side of the pycon’s face and the tip half would roll heavily over the upper ridge of the nose, down the other side of the face and with the moment curl up around the lower jaw and make contact with the underside of Ball’s tentacle. Upon feeling the underside of his own tentacle Ball would fuse the tip to the base of his tentacle and tighten his grip on the jaw of the Rat, the resulting incident was obvious.

If Rat Pycon was fast enough and he pulled his face back away from Ball and just the tip connected at the side it would still be enough to tell the damn intelligence informant to quit yammering away.

Then again, if the rat-faced bugger was even faster than Ball could imagine and dodged out of the way entirely he would slap the ground heavily before the informant and hopefully the intention would be clear and the bugger would stop yammering then too. Or he would ignore it and continue anyway.

Whatever the results, Ball was getting annoyed at the rambling Rat and he wanted him to just stop.

"Wooah~ there!" Rat's reflexes let him took notice of the attack and dodged out of the way by rolling the side and scurrying away "Didn't notice you got sooo angry, grumpy fellow~ Anyways! I think I stretched my welcome! So!" He quickly scurried away to his mizas and gem, put it into his small leather pouch, carried it with his jaw, and bolted away from the location by slipping away through the cracks and crevices between the merchant's stalls.

OOCYou scared the Rat! :(

Ball released a growl as the yammering rat rolled to the side, Blasted rat! Bouncing after him would prove to be futile. Looking back at his dog Ball pointed in the direction of his adversary, “Go.Fin.Da.” [‘Go find.’] Imass huffed out a throaty bark and then with a flourish of fur scrambled off in pursuit, barreling between the two stands with a grunting squeeze, shaking and pushing the two stands as Ball was forced to roll out of the dog’s way.

The dog made it through, Ball apologized for the inconvenience as best as he could and then immediately followed after his mount, tucking in his tentacles and sealing up his mouth for the time being to become his namesake shape once again and roll off. Going to teach that bugger a thing or two . I swear he needs to be turned in to justice. Robbing poor people for monies when they can’t afford it. Information should give freely, we as knights need to do something about it. I WILL DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. He growled louder than before and pushed himself even faster in his roll. It was going to take some time to find the little rat and bring him into justice, but Ball was certain he could do so.

Even his dog was having some issues finding the bugger, they weren’t able to watch where he ran off to, but the dog had exceptionally good hearing and Ball was relying on it to hear the jingling of the Rat’s pouch.

oocBall's dog is a Lhasa Apso, known for their exceptional hearing and are used as alarm dogs to alert their owners. RLly they are from Tibet. ;) heh

Rat ran around, fully utilizing his size, agility, and skills to silently move around the market. He saw heard the commotion that the marchants were shouting, words like "Petching dog!", "Bitch!", etc were shouted. Tch... Bloody squire is chasing me? Did I offend him that much? Oh well, time to up the ante!

That dog-mount must be chasing him, most likely with the round squire on it. Rat's smart mind began revving up, he knew that they couldn't possibly hear his silent footsteps in midst of a crowded market so... his eyes looked to his pouch and a grin upon his mug. Rat quickly stopped, opened the pouch, took just the gem, and pushed the pouch to another direction, causing the mizas inside to come out and clanked on the ground, serving as a distraction. He then scurried away with his most prized reward, the gem. One small step for Rat, a huge step back for the squire.

OOCToo bad that the Rat is too sly... :P I think this would be my last post

You can post your last reply and I'll give you your grades! :D

Imass’s ears perked up at the sound of clattering mizas, Ball could see the glint of gold in the light and the dog was bounding after it in full tilt. Ball was quick to follow, seeing that direction the open pouch was Ball looked about the location, there was no sign of the clay tail in sight and Ball frowned.

He lost his target in pursuit, but at least he got something out of it. Pushing the coin back into the pouch Ball tapped at the closed opening of the pouch and Imass leaned forward and took hold of the pouch with his teeth. Ball meanwhile bounced up onto his mount’s back, allowing tentacles to fold outwardly again. I will find him. Some time or another I will find him and bring him justice for being rude to me… I will not be talked to like I am some… baby. The pycon squire growled and then turned his mount away from the bazaar ready to head back off to the training grounds.

The day for enjoying the mingling of the larger pycon crowds had died out. Stupid bloody rat.

OOCI hope it wasn't caused from my lack of posting daily and my rudeness earlier. >.<
