The Eypharian hissed as the dagger swept across her leg and drew blood. On instinct she stepped back to avoid another slash, but quickly moved forward again with a stiff kick that sent the kelvic sliding into the cage wall with a clattering rattle. Kyra landed awkwardly, not sure which way was up or down, before the warrior was upon her again. She grabbed the small woman by one of her legs and arms, dragging her out into the middle of the floor and spinning her around. Within a tick Kyra was air born, her limbs loose and lively as she was swung around.

Kyra cried out just as she was released, and with the strength of the Eypharian, the kelvic was flung through the air where she crashed into the wall of the cage again. There was another loud rattle that vibrated across the cage and rung in her ears. Luckily her cat-like reflexes allowed her to catch on to the cage but she lost her dagger in the process. Turning herself around, fingers curled between the wires in the cage wall, she saw the Eypharian attack again. This time swinging her ax at the girl's body to try and cut her up.

The kelvic gasped, loosening her grip on the cage, she quickly swung her legs together and shifted herself to the left and out of the way of the incoming weapon. The ax slashed against the cage hard, but the Eypharian took little time in pulling it back and slashing at her opponent again. Kyra rolled against the cage to the right this time in order to dodge another strike from the woman's weapons. Seeing an opening, the kelvic lifted herself up, wrapping her thighs around the woman's neck. She released her hold on the cage, allowing her upper body to swing out and downward, while using the momentum to shift her lower body to pull the Eypharian forward where her head smashed into the cage.

Releasing her legs, Kyra tumbled onto the ground and slid a few feet away. It wasn't the smartest of moves, but it bought her time, and saved her from being pinned down by the four armed beast of a woman. Pushing herself up, Kyra stood instantly then colliding with something else. She spun around quickly after a stumble backwards, and pulled the other dagger free from her belt. For a time, she had forgotten that this was supposed to be a tag team match including four people instead of two.

Kyra stared into the black eyes of the bronze skinned woman and paused. She had no friendly thoughts of a pairing between them, nor did she think them on the same page. They weren't supposed to fight each other, though in the madness surrounding them, who knew what would happen. The Eypharian and Dhani, whether together or not, had a common goal. They wanted the two tiny women dead and they probably didn't care how either. The Eypharian shook off the dizzy spell and spun her weapons in her hands as she turned to face Kyra again. The kelvic breathed deeply, her widen gold eyes darting about the room. "I don't suppose you have another mystically, wonderful plan?" she said giving Kaie a quick glance.

Kaie reeled back clumsily on her heels, trying desperately not to lose her footing entirely. The Myrian woman ricochet off the Kelvic with a sharp exhale. Hands flashed out to grip the sides of the cage to right herself again. With a growl she turned back to face her opponents, quickly realizing there were in fact two of them. Bold brown eyes blinked twice as she assessed her situation. Meanwhile, the Dhani grinned at her smugly as he eased to the Eypharian's side. To her side was Kyra. No doubt she shared Kaie's uneasiness at the sight of their mutual enemies side by side.

The Myrian woman grunted in frustration. Rotating her wrist, she twirled her gladius in her hand once to readjust her grip. The Dhani clutched his own sword tighter, still standing there readily with that stupid grin on his face. One Kaie would make a point to rip off. There were daggers in Kaie's eyes while she watched him. The rage growing within her rapidly despite her increased exhaustion. Myri's mark seared her skin brutally in a fit that drove her wild. All in all, she just wanted to tear his petching head off. If it weren't for the Kelvic's sudden voice, she might've charged in blindly to do just that.

"Not really. What about you, Kyra? You seem rather accomplished in the area of escaping perilous circumstances," Kaie shot back without turning her head toward her supposed teammate. There was a bit of sarcasm and begrudging in her words, though she might've seen too distracted to really put much behind them. Instead she eyed the two ahead of her warily. Waiting for one to strike. Gods be good, she'd manage to get the Dhani alone again. But that wouldn't necessarily make it a team cage match would it?

"I should think surviving would be a good idea.."

A Sellsword and an Ex-Solder placed into a tag team match against two of the largest and strongest races in the world. It sounded like a glorious match, that was if there were tag teams. Instead what was unveiling itself in the ring were two different personal grudges being fought out to end the feuds. The Eypharian didn't seem to care about the Myrian as the Dhani didn't care for the Kelvic. The stage was set and it seemed that the match would continue on as it had before, foe against foe.

"You're mine Snowblonde, I'm going to get you this time.."

Kyra took in a deep breath, tightly holding her dagger in her hand. She focused first on the Eypharian followed by the other. Kaie was at her side, but Kyra didn't know what the woman was planning and so she acted alone. The kelvic sprinted forward towards them both and suddenly dropped, tucking her small frame into a roll as she slid between them. The Eypharian turned with a hard swing of her ax just as the Dhani turned with a wicked swipe of his. Both weapons sliced into the flesh of the others, the Eypharian slicing into the Dhani's shoulder, and he across the four armed woman's chest.

Fierce eyes stared at the others, a snarl and hiss leaking from tighten lips as the two giants turned to face each other. The tactic had worked out a lot better than Kyra had planned. The kelvic had been hoping to throw them off guard with her behind them and Kaie in front, but this was even better. With the strength and momentum of the roll, she continued on until she slammed awkwardly against the cage, before pulling herself again. She wasn't sure what was about to happen now, but it didn't look good.

The Myrian nodded her head, tilting it this way and that as if weighing the truth of the Kelvic's words. Naturally she had to agree with the woman. For what kind of fool would she be had she not? Regardless her position on the matter wasn't quite the most prominent problem at hand. Before her laid two capable fighters, both itching to tear their heads off. An Eypharian and a Dhani. Four arms and a petching snake. They seemed to be on a level playing field, Kyra and herself. The blonde may not have been fighting a cold blooded enemy to the her people as Kaie, but the hate between the Kelvic and the Eypharian was evident. Whatever happened between the two was lost on Kaie. The bad blood however was rather obvious. Yet now stood there side by side against their opponents. Space was limited and the ring felt smaller and smaller by the second.

The four armed woman's taunt cut through the air like the sharpest daggers. A threat that left an overcast over the already dark cage like some horribly ominous cloud. A foreboding reached the Myrian like a slow fog descending across a valley. It was that moment she realized exactly what she was facing, what the situation truly was. This was not some struggle for power nor a not so friendly spar in the Fighter's Pit. This fight was the reality where blood was spilled and bones were broken. Souls had left bodies here. The Dhani eyed her hungrily from across the way, but it was Kyra who had become most distracting. Though focused and possessed by instinct and adrenaline, Kaie noticed the change in her forced ally. She was just off her shoulder after all. And so the Myrian heard the woman take a breath. A deep intake of air like she was preparing for something. But what?

Kaie's question was answered for her. Without further warning, Kyra had raced forward with her dagger in hand. She dropped and rolled between the two murderous opponents like some sort of choreographed performance. Kaie could only watch in awe as the Eypharian and the Dhani reacted, hacking at each other in an attempt to catch the sly woman. Blood was drawn and blood boiled with frustration and irritation. Now it was her turn to participate.

Needing no further invitation, the Myrian followed the Kelvic through. Brown eyes locked on the Dhani as she moved in, already feeling the satisfaction she'd earn by putting a sword to his throat. Her feet raced through the distance quickly, gladius raised and teeth grit in anticipation. And that's when the Eypharian let out a wicked cry. A long strip of blood poured from the woman's hip, ax swinging wildly in a horizontal swipe over the Myrian. Kaie kept her crouch low as she exited her attack. As soon as she had passed toward the four armed woman's back, Kaie turned and sent a back kick into her spine. It was like it was practiced. The Dhani cried out with a growl as the woman reeled toward him with no control. The two teammates forced onto the other, sprawling back in the opposite direction of Kyra. Kaie's last ditch effort to give the Kelvic time to recover. To keep them from counting her bold move that might've given the two a fighting chance.

Kaie turned and looked at her ally. Approval sparkled in her eyes but then it was gone again. Replaced by the savagery and the hatred she held in battle. For this was a war and more than a cage match gamble. This was her life pitted against a race that was an abomination in the jungle. One that needed to be eradicated. But no longer did that along make her blind. The Myrian woman took a few steps over until she was just off Kyra's shoulder again, low in a battle position. Realizing finally that this was not a battle to be won by individuals. She needed the woman to survive. It was the only way to ensure their victory and the others' defeat. It was too bad it had taken her so long to understand. Kaie could only hope she hadn't realized too late.

"I don't suppose you've got any other neat tricks like that?"

Kyra leaned against the cage, fingers gripping the wiry bindings as she looked on. It was Kaie's turn to trick the beasts in the cage and she followed through with a grace inked with steel. The woman ended her move with a back kick that sent the four armed woman butting heads with the Dhani. Another slick move, and although she didn't know the Dhani, Kyra was sure that the Eypharian woman had a short temper. The crowd was alive, and the constant pounding on the cage was enough to drive anyone mad and they hadn't helped.

The Dhani turned and shoved the Eypharian backwards, a move that rewarded him with a stiff punch to his jaw. The Dhani turned with a swipe of his weapon, and the two clashed against each other, starting up a new fight. Still watching them, Kyra slowly moved towards her dagger that she had lost before and placed it back into her belt. The crowd were going more insane now, shocked to see the match turned on it's head as it happened before their drunken eyes.

It seemed that the two women had bought themselves a bit of time while the Dhani and Eypharian fought out their differences. Kyra looked to the woman as she returned to her side on the opposite side of the cage. They weren't the best team, but they had managed not to attack each other and that said a lot. "I didn't expect it to go so well. But I am glad that it did." Her words trailed off as the two huge warriors continued to hack and slash at each other on the other end of the cage.

"Should we allow them to finish their duel? I don't much want to get in the middle of it."

There was a weak smile rising upon her lips. This would make the second time that she had made a fool of the Eypharian, and now she had another to add to that list. The kelvic was satisfied mostly, but something in the eyes of the woman beside her gave her the impression that she wouldn't be happy until she killed her opponent, or possibly both of them. Kyra was ready to end it one way or the other, by finishing her opponent or standing by and letting the two kill each other, she didn't much care anymore.

While the two women stood and discussed their next move, the crowd was getting restless. As much as they enjoy looking at the two beauties, they wanted to see them in action. Whispers were carried back and forth between several people, until a few of them disappeared and returned to the wall of the cage carrying a large barrel of ale. Along with a few others, the three lifted the heavy barrel and slung the contents at the part of the cage where Kyra and Kaie stood splashing everything on that side of the cage with sticky ale.

Kyra gasped loudly as she was soaked and the kelvic was not amused. Hard, golden eyes turned to the crowd behind them and the kelvic growled through clinched teeth. Kyra was so angry she felt like climbing up the cage and slaughtering everyone in her path. But something else had occurred during the raunchy splash, the Dhani and Eypharian had stopped fighting and returned their gaze upon them.

The Myrian woman could hardly keep the grin off her face watching the two idiots clash toe to toe. They were on the same team and yet there they were trying to kill each other. Maybe it had taken Kaie a little while to grasp the importance of her alliance with Kyra, but better late then never right? Either way their side had the upper hand and the clear advantage in the brawl. The trick would be prying to the two apart long enough to dig a weapon in their flesh. It would be almost too easy to sit back and let their work be cut out for them. Besides, Kaie liked the idea of shutting the scaly demon up permanently. If there was one clan tradition she'd like to leave in tact, hunting and eradicating the Dhani population wasn't going to be the one she'd neglect.

"As I am. Sitting back is too easy. Let's finish this and earn our keep," Kaie offered with a crooked smile and a nod of her head. She sneaked a mischievous glance at the Kelvic before focusing back on the warring pair. Around them the voices began to rise. A clear indication the battle was not going according to their plan. They wanted the bloodshed of team vs. team not teammate killing teammate. Apparently the crowd agreed with Kaie's logic in joining back in the fray, because momentarily a barrel of ale was slung across their bodies. Dark, sticky amber liquid training along the cage and along Kaie's bare skin. It soaked what meager clothing she did have in the aroma of bitter alcohol. A smell she got plenty of on her work days. She grimaced at the sight of herself, wringing her hands of the mess and turning to growl at the crowd.

The Myrian turned just then and let the sides of her fists pound brutally against the cage. A wicked snarl tore between her teeth and the metal of her sword clanged on the metal walls, too. A few men leaped back with a laugh and a few more banged back with cheers to continue. It was like rallying a trapped animal to come out and fight. Didn't they know this tiger in particular needed to coaxing to begin with? Yet her actions were only to preserve her image. Of course Kaie hardly cared a bit of drink spilled on her. It happened all the time in the Stallion and it was far better than the worse she'd had there. The woman didn't mind getting dirty, either. Perhaps a show of aggression would boost the hype around the two and persuade some higher bids. Regardless she hardly had the time to rehash on the reasons for her actions.

Kaie turned to find the two had worked out their fury to focus on the bigger fish at hand. Both huffed and puffed and there was a new ferocity in their eyes. The Myrian could only hope it was a bit of fatigue as well. The Kelvic woman had done the work in starting them off last time. The least Kaie could do was have her own turn at it. Let the Goddess remind her to follow her through...

Myri, watch your daughter bring this fight to a close. For I will either kill your enemy or die. My beliefs are absolute.

And with a final prayer Kaie rushed the two standing with a roar. Her gladius was returned to her side and instead she tore a Kukri from her back. Braced for impact, she charged straight down the middle of the two with her dagger prepared. She watched them faces rather than their weapons. Waiting for the tell tale sign broadcasting their intentions. And then it came. Both of their eyes widened, pupils dilating to let her knew they would engage. That's when she let her momentum bring her to her knees. Bending back toward the ground, narrowly sliding beneath the array of steel on her way down, Kaie slipped under their swings. The Eypharian's ax did get its payback, though, by skimming across her forehead to leave a line of blood in its wake.

Then Kaie let the Kukri fly. Her arm swung back as she slid past their feet, blade digging into the Eypharian's back right leg to slash the hamstring. The Dhani on the other hand turned unharmed to pursue her. The Myrian woman had chosen the four armed woman as the greatest threat, attempting to be a selfless team player rather then risk both their lives for pride. Yet as the snake man pivoted and lifted his sword to hack down at her before she could complete a barrel roll out of the way, she wondered if selflessness was the right choice. Had she made a fatal mistake?

The kelvic was soaked from ale, golden white locks, turned brown and matted strains curled across her head and cheeks. Her clothing, though already tight fitting, was also soaked and now carried a dull shine, sticky with ale. Kyra wasn't short tempered, but a cat was always moody and this wasn't the day to push the girl's limits. While Kaie bashed against the cage, the kelvic was ready to start her climb when she felt a shiver crawl up her neck and returned around. Like something out of a nightmare, the two brutes had solved their differences only to retake their position of kill their first opponents.

"Looks like we're back where we first started..."

Dagger in hand, Kyra stepped forward, spreading her legs slightly and held her dagger and fist close to her chest. All four were battle worn, and bruised as well. But the brutes were worse off after they had turned and attacked each other which also gave the Myrian and Kelvic time to catch their breath. They were wounded as well, and probably too pissed off to think straight. It was their best shot, and if Kaie and Kyra could out smart their larger foes, the girls could make it out and a bit richer for their time.

Kaie took the first charge this time, and Kyra fell back and waited, watching. Working together had helped them in the past and they had already learned that the Eypharian and Dhani weren't on the same page. The kelvic paced about, slowly inching her way closer to the action. The Myrian woman attempted another daring move that paid off with a crippling blow to the Eypharian's leg. But as she did, she left herself open for the Dhani to attack, and that's when Kyra moved.

The kelvic's boots slammed into the ground as she raced across the floor. Jumping up, her body was propelled a full two feet across the landing as she smashed her knee into the Dhani's jaw. The giant fell to the ground just as Kyra tucked in her body and rolled to his side. Raging eyes tore at her, as the Dhani gripped his sword and took a long swipe at her from the ground. Kyra rolled backwards and pushed herself back up just in time to block a wicked strike from his sword that knocked her backwards. The Eypharian jumped up on her one good leg, latching onto the kelvic from behind and bit into the girl's shoulder hard.

Kyra cried out, eyes flaring as she saw the Dhani now racing towards her with a viscous forward thrust. She wiggled and jerked her body as hard as she could, before kicking her leg back against the injured leg of the Eypharian, forcing her to let go. There was only a second to move, and the kelvic turned her body away from the direction of the sword, it's blade skimming her body as it pierced the Eypharian's flesh. Kyra gasped loudly, shocked that she moved just in time and swung her dagger out and stabbed it into the chest of the Dhani.

She practically cringed, feeling the wrath of the Dhani's weapon upon her before it hit. But it didn't. Instead she heard quick feet along the floor and a painful hiss moments later. It was just the perfect amount of time to allow Kaie drop forward face first into the floor, and barrel roll away from any retaliation she couldn't yet see. Once her escape was complete, she eased back to her feet quickly just in time to watch the Dhani swipe at her from his fallen position. Across from him was the lithe Kelvic woman. Kaie had to hand it to her, Kyra was quick, clever, and nimble. If they continued to flow as decently as they were now, they both might survive yet. The change of events earning a cry from the small blonde, however, reminded Kaie that would be no simple task.

Immediately her brow drew together when the Eypharian managed to get a hold of her teammate. Muddy brown eyes narrowed hatefully. Kaie's fingers wrapped around the Kukri handle until her knuckles turned white, other hand's fingers curled like loose claws. The Myrian woman had gotten a good slice on the four armed woman, sure, but she had not nearly eliminated the threat. All she caused was a scratch on the tough skin of another fighter. It should have been clear Kaie needed to strike better. She needed to have found a more vital area to ruin. Had she mistaken this for some casual Fighter's Pit spar?

The reptile and the savage lurched forward at the same time. A snarl tore from Kaie's throat, a sound used in the jungle to convey a territorial message. Her ally was cornered and restrained. It did not look good from any angle in the fight, and it was clear the Myrian wouldn't make it in time to block the Dhani's sword movement. Still she raced forward with the clear understanding the fight needed to end. If Kyra did fall right then and there, it would be two on one. Luckily for both, Kyra managed to free herself and spin away from the sword strike. Even better? The Dhani's blade jammed itself right into the Eypharian, giving Kyra time to make her own mark with her dagger in the Dhani. Essentially, Kaie had her work cut out for her.

Just as the dagger pierced the Dhani's flesh, Kaie gripped the hood hanging behind his head and tugged him away from Kyra. Simultaneously, her arm slid across his neck, Kukri pressed deep into his flesh. The blade waited patiently for the command to do the deed. Instead she moved her lips to his ear and spoke the ancient words angrily. Guttural growls entered his ear lobe as he gasped and hisses in response to his new wounds.

"Now you die, Skurak. No honor, no dignity, just blood. May your body be a worthy sacrifice to the Goddess Queen," Kaie said in harsh Myrian just before her muscles flexed and she ran the blade across his throat. A line of red appeared in her wake and blood trickled in a thick, steady waterfall down his front to meet his clothing. There was a choking noise, the Dhani's eyes wide with fear and agony. Then Kaie stepped back and let him fall at her feet. She stared down at him almost objectively curious. The woman tilted her head at the dying thing just before easing down into a crouch beside his head. Just watching him drown in his own blood. The more she looked at him, studying the way he looked in his final moments, she knew he was nothing like the girl. Hardly a comparison between the pure, innocent amateur mercenary girl and the hated, abomination of a reptile. He would not haunt her dreams like the woman had the past season. Perhaps this image would even help her sleep at night. For he was the enemy, and to eradicate him would be something to take pride in. She was merely completing the work of a higher power.

Kaie honestly almost forgot about Kyra and the Eypharian. As soon as the soul began to leave her prey's eyes, the Myrian snapped her head up with unanticipated concern, looking about ready to dive or lunge in a moment's notice. In her own selfish moments with her hated enemy had she left her own teammate in a state of vulnerability. Sure, the woman of many arms had been rightfully skewed on the Dhani's forward thrust. She would be a little preoccupied with that rather than the Kelvic...Right? How odd it was for her to show even brief concern for a woman whose race was not her own.

The Eypharian, snarled in pain as the Dhani's blade stabbed into her gut, and released her hold on the kelvic. There was panic in her dark eyes, blood leaking from her wound even as she clutched it tightly. This was the first time that she had come so close to death and it scared her. Stepping forward, as Kaie pulled the Dhani off, Kyra spun around sending an arched back kick towards the four armed monster. It was caught and the wounded Eypharian squeezed her leg hard as she swung the tiny blonde against the cage.

Kyra gasped, eyes wide as she saw the blade of the ax coming towards her and quickly ducked. She landed on her rear, head tilted up to where she could see the ax imbedded in the cage wall. Pushing herself forward, the kelvic stabbed her dagger into the knee of the woman, and rolled aside. The Eypharian yelled, leg bucking in as she leaned down and gripped the dagger. The blade had slipped deep into the muscles and between the bone in her knee. Gripping it tightly, the woman roared as she pulled it out and threw it down.

Taking a deep breath, the woman snarled again and struggled to stand up. Suddenly the kelvic raced up and slammed another dagger into her back. Kyra pulled the dagger out and stabbed the woman again and again in her back as she yelled and spun around. It only took a few ticks for Kyra to stab her, only a few ticks for her to grip the kelvic's leg and pull her free of her back. The Eypharian looked for a big move here, wanting to sling the tiny blonde into the cage so hard it would break her, but in her weaken state, she only dropped the girl. Kyra slid across the floor, lightly bumping into the cage where the four armed woman had dropped her ax and the dagger that she had used.

Laying on her side, Kyra gripped her dagger tightly, eyes looking to the ax just a foot in front of her. A large and dark shadow fell upon her, and a hand reached down and snatched her off the floor. With a war like cry, Kyra slammed her dagger into the throat of the Eypharian finally putting an end to the fight. There was a look of shock in both their eyes, the truth ringing through of the end of the battle. The crowd was silent now, or Kyra had just drowned them out completely, leaving just her and her rival in the ring.

She gripped the dagger tighter, lifting a boot to push against the woman's chest as she forced her weapon free. A loud thump signaled the end of the Eypharian and the end of the nightmarish fight. Kyra stepped backwards, almost in a daze before the wall of the cage stopped her movements. In the end, she had won, finished old business and would also be paid for it.

Was she really that oblivious when in such a cutthroat trance? The way the cage rattled, with both body and weapon, should've been groundbreaking in the small world the arena had become. And yet the savage had been deaf to either of the livings' cries. She was a woman longing for a challenge. She yearned for trouble, sought out difficult feats to conquer. Here in this fight, however, she had chosen the easiest of the two to finish. Kaie did not pester the four armed woman, whose stamina and resolve was quite admirable. She picked the Dhani. The snake-man who was already incapacitated. She took advantage of an animal already on its way to the grave. On top of that, he hadn't even bothered to shift once. Always upon him, he never found the time. Never gave her that challenge she so badly desired, though that detail was lost in the sea of her violent visions. Her gnosis burned triumphantly on her body, searing her skin in its own victorious glow. Approval. Another one for the Myrians. So why did it feel just a bit fruitless?

Kaie focused on the scene that hushed the crowd for a single moment. Kyra with her dagger in the Eypharian's throat. Neither moved, and Kyra never spoke. Her lips never parted to even whisper a final parting word to her opponent. Her enemy. She simply put an end to their feud, finishing by shoving the woman off her weapon. The body hit the floor in a sickening thud Kaie could feel in her own bare feet.

There was a slow second the savage's eyes floated between the slain woman and the Kelvic. Just enough time for her to realize how different their kills were. Kaie's was clearly more ritualistic, malevolent, and cutthroat (literally). Kyra's wasn't nearly so showy. It was almost more human in the way the two looked at each other, realizing fate. It felt more real. And it might've been the first time the Myrian realized the other perspective in killing. Quickly, though, that thought was lost in the oblivion created by the thunderous roar of their entertained onlookers. Their shock had dissipated and instead they let loose a deafening sea of cheering. Some pounded the cage with furious cries of profanity, others with exuberance and excitement. Apparently they had put on a good show. And that was enough.

Just as she was about to take a step forward, pain wrecked havoc on her entire frame. All that adrenaline, excitement, and anticipation had finally worn off. In its wake returned that satisfyingly unpleasant agony in her muscles and a piercing burn in her open wounds. A large bruise was forming at her back from being slammed upon it so many times. Her face had reddened where it had received its own punishment. Forearm, calf, forehead, and...Well where the petch did that come from? Of all the wounds and bruises she had taken, one area of her body cried out the loudest. It wasn't just the openness of the injury. She could feel it. The hot liquid that was her blood trailing down her spine. Starting from a place near her shoulders and oozing steadily down toward her lower back. Slowly she reached her arm behind her back and gingerly poked at the suspected area.

"Ah! Well petch that!" She hissed to herself in her own language, hoping to mask her discomfort. It must've been written clearly on her face. Yet she tortured herself a bit more, letting her fingertips follow the edges of the wound for its shape. Was it from an ax? A sword? Either way, it must've been one of those times she tried to play hero and ran between their enemies. Stupid. Stupid. Stupid. She felt like she had fallen victim to some traumatic wagon accident, or maybe trampled by a pavilion of Drykas and their Striders.

Kaie growled lowly right before sending a completely unnecessary kick into the deceased Dhani's head. Like she could punish him anymore for what he and his teammate had done? Young, brash, and reckless. She needed to retaliate somehow. Show him he was wrong to ever touch her flesh. Maybe she shouldn't have killed him so quickly. Then again she was exhausted. Fatigue was setting in and her breathing wasn't quite back yet. Tired but victorious.

"May Dira send you to The Void, you little bastard. Myri, take what worth you may find in this inferior blood. Thank you for seeing your daughter through on this night. This victory is yours," Kaie spat at the Dhani and then proceeded to pray to her Goddess. Showing her gratitude for the aid she was sent during the fight. Though she didn't feel like making a spectacle out of herself tonight, what with the whole cannibalism bit, praise to Myri was important. If anything else it was the one necessity.

Pressing her fingers on the floor, she slowly managed to make it onto her feet. Granted she tried to make it look effortless. She could go collapse somewhere later. Maybe even try out that healing center everyone at the Pit had raved about with her earned coin. The savage woman shrugged her shoulders, forgetting her wound, and inhaling sharply in effect.

Stupid. There you go again. Just try not to embarrass yourself on your way out. Oh, and don't you dare limp. They'll love that too much.

Within a few paces she found her valuable ally on the other side of the cage. Staring coldly at the woman she had never trusted or respected due to their previous encounter, Kaie said nothing. Then she broke into a genuine grin and laughed softly as if only then realizing the peril they managed to surmount. The Myrian outstretched her hand like she'd seen barbarians do, offering peace. It was a gesture of approval and camaraderie. And any merit there was to be awarded by the savage, Kyra had earned it. Talking around a table and strolling in the woods with a bunch of random hired killers was one thing. Getting out there, killing the enemy, and pulling off survival? In the jungle that was what earned you true reverence.

"Not bad, Kyra! Not bad at all! I almost had you pinned as a coward there. Damn good job at proving me wrong! Let's leave the dead and go tell this crowd to petch off, shall we?" Kaie offered with glowing eyes that didn't even bother to glance at the still shouting crowd behind them. Had she not learned to drown them out, they would've been the most annoying mass she'd ever come across. Then again it was their pocket she was picking for earnings. Speaking of earnings...Where had Gene run off to?
