A mix of emotions ripped through the crowd as the fight ended. Some happy with the ending others enraged. Coin had been lost and coin had been won. Kaie seemed satisfied with her victory, a victory that appeared to be as much about justice as it was the coin. Kyra had another take on the fight, and her feelings were very different. It was bitter sweet, the fight that happened hadn't been the one that she was expecting. The kelvic was sore, bruised and sticky, but in the end she had done what she set out to, and earned her coin as well.
The building was so hot, and there were no winds to cool her off. Dry, musky air through out and the only dampness was the sweat and ale that clung to her body. With her weapons collected, Kyra turned her gaze upon the crowd once again. They were a violent crowd, and had more malice than any animal on the face of the planet. Luckily for them she was too tired to climb the cage and attack the ones who had thrown ale on her before.
The sudden laughter from Kaie caused Kyra to stare at her curiously. It seemed the woman had gone mad, or was having so much fun that she could no longer contain it. People enjoyed the strangest of things, and she wished that she had felt the same at the moment. Golden eyes glanced down at the woman's extended hand and it took her a moment to realize what she was offering. Kyra had also noticed people exchanging in the hand gesture, but it wasn't something that she had tried. At first she reached out, and only her fingers gently touched Kaie's, before she attempted to take her hand.
She didn't shake however, and just stood there looking from their combined hands and back to her companions face. "A coward? Why would you think..." She paused in thought and released the woman's hand. "Are you really so angry about that?"
The clicking sound at the cage door caught her attention as the door was opened and Gene stepped inside. He had the same look on his face as he normally did, and tucked two coin pouches under his arm so that he could applaud the women for a well fought match.
"Good work ladies, you earned this." He nodded to them and held out a pouch for each of them to take. "Gotta get this cage ready for the next match, so unless you two want to be a part of it. You can go."
Kyra took her pouch, shook it to make sure that it was filled with coins first before she left. This caused Gene to glare at her, but the kelvic had to be sure. Glancing towards Kaie again, Kyra nodded and headed out of the cage. "It was good to fight at your side, even though you are still angry." If Kaie had nothing else to say, then Kyra would slowly make her way to the door and leave.
