Sei rounded the corner, and waved to passerby as he made his way toward the fighter pit. He was wearing his leather armor and boots, and had a shield strapped to his arm, and a shortsword to his back. He strolled casually by the shops, and smiled the whole way through. He had his hair ruffled like always, and was anxious to get to the pit. He had asked Kaie to come and train, but he hadn't even thought about why. All he knew was that she was a great sparing partner, and he was ready for some intense training. He smirked at the thought, and remembered the first time they met. Even though they had started off on the wrong foot, they had - in his mind - become sparing partners. He enjoyed learning new things, and Kaie was the best one to teach him.
He had left all his other equipment besides his hidden dagger at home, and had prepared for the beating of his life. He was, hopefully, ready to give it a shot. He wasn't very skilled at using a sword, and the idea of dying in a spar didn't exactly inspire his courage. In an attempt to stay safe, he had brought along his shield. He could still remember their first meeting, when she had chopped of a thick tree branch with her single handed Gladius. It was effortless in his eyes, and he had been thinking about it ever since. He pressed through the crowds, and made his way to the pit. It was that time of day when everyone filled the streets of Syliras to the brim.
He was now in front of the ring, and as usual people were crowded around it, watching the fights. He broke through the crowds, and looked around for Kaie. He stepped into the ring, and looked around, hoping she hadn't decided he wasn't worth it and gone home.
