Kelvic in Riverfall Seeking Socialization

Hello everyone! I'm Juriya and I'm kind of new to Mizahar.

I'm looking for people to thread with in a ranges of interests and stuff. Basically I want to develop Juriya's personality more and the best way to do that is to interact with lots of different people.

Some basic info on Juriya you'd need to know is...
She was born in Riverfall, but has done an okay job as concealing her identity as a Kelvic to the general population. Of course the Town itself has her registered as a Kelvic, so I guess if you really wanted to find out everything about her it would not be impossible for you to find out she's not human.

She's very anti-social, but is trying to force herself to socialize more because she has begun feeling that desire to interact more (and find a bond.)
--That being said, at this time, I am not looking for potential bondmates. There's chance of one in the works already and there's no need to try and cultivate 'back ups'.

However, I am not opposed to Akalak men trying to approach Juriya and convince her to be their Navilak... Nakivak? Either way, she will not say yes (probably), but it might be funny to see her reaction.

Juriya is skilled in Unarmed Combat, and isn't terrible at Hunting and Wilderness Survival. If you wanted a training or sparring thread, I could maybe do that, though we may need to make it start out social as Juriya does not actively advertise that she hunts and can survive out in a tent. I'd be willing to "trade" knowledge on her skills for skills she does not have, but are not combat or magic based. Juri isn't a big fan of magic and prefers her fists over all weapons. Does your musically inclined character want to now how to hunt though? Juri may be interested in learning a bit about your instrument in exchange for her info on the wilds.

I'm open to pretty much anything else as well. Want to get into a fight because Juriya looked at your funny, or you thought she was eyeing your man? Awesome. The only thing I do not want is serious injury or death. I'm open to having her get knocked about, so long as she lands a hit or two herself. (Unless you far outskill her in unarmed combat, then maybe it is less likely she could hit you, but even then, it is likely she might get one hit and leave a tiny bruise.) Hell, break her nose even, it's all good, it means an opportunity for me to go stalk local healers and have to ask for help.

From conversations with gossamer kelvics aren't allowed to be nakivaks because that would require a contract with the city. usually women who are nakivaks get loans for businesses and such and return they contact to bear akalak sons.

That being said kelvics are the best for caring akalak childen and not dying. Akalak might approach you to bear children but it would be just a friendly agreement rather then nakivak status

Nice seeing you in Riverfall. I had to giggle reading your request here because I'm not sure there's anyone in RF that WOULDNT want to thread with you. Contact Caelum (he's really looking for Kelvic companionship and hes not into babies atm). And the Akalak will approach you for amourous encounters, but the problem is they don't see kelvics as real people, but instead as more of a pet class of citizen. They don't disrespect them, but they do give them some interesting lack of credit, if that makes sense.

Join open threads in the city and ask people for social and activity threads. One of the biggest pieces of advice I can give a new player on Mizahar is to look at your posts in a certain way... from the perspective of another player. Give your thread partners something to react to. Ask them questions, do actions, advance the story with each of your posts. The biggest let down for some of the current players playing with new people is that they new people REACT to their posts but don't advance the story with their posts.

For instance.. you are Jane. You are roleplaying with Dick. Dick asks you some questions and makes some actions in his thread. You react to Dick's questions by answering them, then you react to Dicks actions and end the post. No no no. How is that fun for Dick? Jane needs to end her post with some activity, some questions to Dick, etc. Give him something to do and feed off of each other.
