The smile of the squire grew a little from the cocky grin into the usual warmth when she spoke. Once again describing herself as lustful. After what Markus had touched, the kiss he had given her. The words of praise. Perhaps she was beginning to lose some of the innocence and become the lustful Konti. She surprised him then, briefly stunned him as she pressed her lips to his. Confirming his suspicion that he had managed to bring out her less innocent side. He breathed in as they kissed. Pulled her closer and pressed harder against her. He wanted the woman now more than ever. Feel her naked skin against his form as he had his way with her. Her arms wrapping around him. Pulling them even closer. Almost did he move to take her to the ground, but she moved before he did. Breaking their kiss and the lustful desire for her on his lips. It took willpower not to kiss her again. It took every ounce of discipline that ser Mason had beat into him over the years to not follow her then.

The first word from her lips made the fight a lot easier. SER. He was to become a knight. He could not let lust and emotions so easily sway his thoughts. The right word. The desire was still present, but more manageable. Easy to control. Her words rang true with his own thoughts. Did not want another relationship where it was only the carnal pleasures that were met. He may be young, but he wanted more than simple petch. Wanted to have someone he could share his life with, someone who cared for more than his physical body.

Is S'Essy that someone? Markus didn't know. He liked her. But there was a far cry between liking someone and loving them. But only Tanroa could tell. There was no reason he shouldn't try. Might give heart ache if he fell for her and she left, but Markus had already endured that, another one wouldn't break him. He had not expected to find such a wonderful woman, someone so different so soon. But he couldn't deny he wouldn't want to be with her. Partly because of her great personality, part because she looked wonderful. But there was a fierce blush on his cheeks despite the cocky and joking words coming from his lips. His way of coping? Probably.

"Miss Healer, are you asking me to become your boyfriend? What has the day and age come to when the man is not brave enough to ask." The smirk on his lips as he moved closer to her lips. "Of course I would want to be with you and only you. I am not a two-timing bastard." He would kiss her passionately on the lips before breaking it and looking into the indigo eyes before a smirk appeared. One she probably recognized all too well already. He leaned in to her ear. "I do hope this doesn't mean we can't petch as well." He whispered softly as a hand caressed her side gently. Markus was young and full of hormones, he might desire to take it slow with S'Essy, but his body wouldn't let him.

She felt a bit better that she asked it finally. The first part was done but she wasn't fully calm, she was nervous about his answer. But it was better than waiting and then being disappointed in the end. His face got a little color and S'Essy was prepared for what he was about to say. Miss Healer. And it was true she asked him out... but who cares, if she did then she did. She didn't feel bad about it.

Then all of her worries had gone. He came closer to her and he accepted that one thing she hoped he would. Then another brief passionate kiss. A dream came true? Perhaps, but it was too early to say that and in all honesty she didn't care. She was too happy and wanted to live in the moment. A smirk on her face also appeared when he whispered to her ears. She placed her hands on his shoulders and whispered back. "What is it Ser Markus Andres, you let this menace to win and defeat you? The lustful Konti's hunt was succesful?"

Then she stepped a little futher from him and her hand wandered to his cheeks. She was just staring at him for a while and was smiling at him. It was worth to wait, she didn't mind. "And no it doesn't mean that. It means that I'm yours and only yours. But before going ahead let's get a little fire, night is upon us real soon." She looked away and saw as Syna was going down and was changing place with Leth. She looked back at him and took away her hands. "Also I don't know about you but I would accept a little food to eat. We eat, we warm ourselves up and we have our night to continue... actually more than a night now I guess."

And she knew that she could wait forever now. Slowly but surely, she felt things will go good.
Unless I promised one, I can not accept any more threads at the moment! I'm sorry.

The Konti was close. Very close. Arms around his shoulders and he could imagine her on her toes to reach that high. A little lift and he would have her weight in his arms. It would be so easy to give in to the desire. The carnal lust for a woman he barely knew. Didn't stop me before... Markus brushed the thoughts aside and to his mutual annoyance and relief, the words whispered into his ears had a profound effect on him. Striking a chord that triggered the memory of his and Raven's endless competitions to drive the other over the edge first. She created distance to his added relief as he realized he had been lost to his own lust once more. A smirk appeared on his lips. Lustful Konti... What would that make me? A horny little squire? He enjoyed the hand on his cheek as they simple looked into each other eyes. Perhaps a bit too sappy for Markus, but he liked that she enjoyed the moment. That was good enough for him. A little warmth rose in the cheeks when she spoke again. There was a roar of success in his belly. Or it was hunger when she mentioned food.

"It sounds like a plan, S'Essy." The squire responded as he quickly turned to his backpack. A little flustered at all the emotions the healer showed him. Opened her heart for him and it was a little frightening considering what he had come from. He gulped as he rummaged through his tent and finally found the survival gear which included a flint and steel. "Uhh, S'Essy, want to learn how to make a fire?" Markus realized too late what he had said. Him, teach anyone else how to make a fire? It was a recipe for disaster.

"First we find the driest of the wood in our pile. By we I mean you." Markus spoke as he began to pick up leaves and other small easily flammable things and twigs and other small stuff that might burn well and gathered it in a pile. Some called it tinder, his master called it small stuff. Each to their own. That was when Markus realized they needed an actual fireplace. Rocks piled into a circle to keep the heat in. It didn't help that the woman he was trying to teach this stuff to was incredibly hot herself. Probably didn't need a fire to keep her warm.

"With that gathered, we can start on clearing some space for the fire itself. We don't want it to spread unwanted. I would rather not wake up tonight with our tent on fire." He didn't even notice he had called it our tent. As he was engulfed in explaining and clearing a wide berth around a arbitrarily chosen spot for their fire. Several feet wide as his foot scrapped across the ground. The knight fished out a dagger from his kit and cut into the ground and cut free a fair sized chunk and left a small hole in the ground. Seemed large enough to add the tinder and kindling. Before adding the larger pieces of tinder. To contain the heat. Markus looked at it, something was wrong. Definitely wrong. A hole didn't seem right. Needed to be more. He shrugged at the problem and started putting the tinder into the hole.

"I've brought dried meat and salted fish. A little bread. I even managed to get a small chunk cheese with me out. You shouldn't happen to be an excellent cook? Otherwise our food might be a bit... dull." He wouldn't blame her if she didn't know how to cook. His own fault, should just learn to do it himself to begin with rather than always rely on Ser Mason to make the dinner. Markus knelt by the fireplace and gathered the flint and steel and started to get to work on starting the blasted fire in the first place. First stroke, nothing. Second stroke. Small sparks. Nothing fancy. Third stroke. Nothing. Fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh... fifteenth... twenty-first the same happened. Twenty-second. Sparks. Lots of them rained down over the dry tinder and by the almighty Ivak it caught fire. Never had Markus been as happy to see fire in his life. Sweet embers danced in his eyes as he quickly added the kindling and with horror saw the tinder die out as he suffocated the oxygen.

"Oh... Right." Markus sighed heavily and used the dagger to cut a canal down to the fireplace on both sides. Allowing the air to rush under the fire and provide oxygen. "Knew I had forgotten something." He shrugged. Trying to play it off as a cool guy, although it nagged at him on the inside that he was such a clutch in front of S'Essy. But magically, or by divine intervention, he managed to get the tinder to catch fire on the third try and by the sixth stroke the sparks had become a little fire. Adding a little kindling at a time until there was enough. He grabbed one of the sticks they had gathered and added that to the fire. While still feeding it kindling and tinder. Then larger pieces. And soon, the couple had a nice fire going... Had probably only taken him ten or fifteen chimes... Or close to half a bell.

Markus raised his arms in triumph!

"I made fire! Come and warm yourself by this glorious Markus-made fire!"

She felt that her stomach was empty and was crying for food. Her thoughts were also around them. Having fun was making people hungry. She smiled and nodded when he offered her to learn how to make a fire. Little tricks, which might come handy later. Afterall her first attempt was... not very great. She rather forgot about it and paid attention.

First picking up the driest woods. He didn't need to tell her twice, she already went to their pile they collected and was looking for some dry ones. She also looked back a little and she saw he was picking up twigs, leaves and small little things. She turned back and was choosing the dry woods. Most of them were dry for her luck so it wasn't the hardest task she got. With the woods she had chosen she went back to him and pack them down next to him.

She stepped back from him and let him do the work, while that she was listening to him as well. She was watching how he made the little fireplace so it wouldn't burn their tent. She let out a little HAH that he used the word their. A small grin appeared on her face. But Markus was far too busy with making the fireplace, so she kept quiet and was focusing. So a hole was needed where you put the tinder.

She rather felt a bit useless and awkward because of his next question. She couldn't even cook. She lived in comfort in Mura, nothing to worry about. And now doing a simple thing was a problem for her. Yes, she was right, Mura was too peaceful. "I... no I can't cook. But if it's fish, nothing can be dull." Then she realized that she wasn't the only one who wanted to eat. "I mean... not dull for me I don't know about you... " ... okay S'Essy it's better if you shut your mouth for a bit. Continued her sentence in her thoughts.

Then she was staring how he desperately tried to make fire with the flint and steel. She felt sorry for him even more sorry when his fire just died out. He didn't seem bothered. Probably was too tired or was just trying to act cool. Whichever didn't matter as he succesfully attempted to create fire. She was smiling at his happiness. How proud he was. And at least she could see and learn how to make a fireplace.

"Sure! From now on, I will only accept 'glorious Markus-made' fires. " She couldn't stop herself from teasing. "But yes, actually good job with it and thanks for showing me how to do it!" The Konti went close to the fire and sat down next to it. She enjoyed it's warmth, something she was waiting for a long time now to happen. She was holding her hands close to the fire, and was staring at the webs between her fingers. "This is also my first time that I'm in a camp! That I have to make my own fire, make my own food, make my own sleeping place. Not like I did these this time either but you know what I mean." She smiled and put her hands away and was just watching how the fire was 'dancing' in front of them. "I need to see a lot and learn from the world."

"Huh? What... Oh. No, fish alone is okay. Don't worry about me, I can eat about anything and be satisfied. The perks of being a squire."

The squire sighed relieved that S'Essy would be okay with fish alone without any elaborate cooking method. He figured if they poked a stick all the way through and let it hang above the fire he had made it would be ready in no time. He grinned at her teasing. Glorious Markus made fire. It sounded silly, but still he liked the innocence behind the teasing. He added a little more wood to the fledgling fire that roared a little as it greedily began to consume the new dry wood. He looked at S'Essy as she sat by the fire and warmed herself. A soft smile on his lips as he let her be, he could handle the food himself. Only needed to find a good stick. One of the ones he had brought was perfect. Long narrow, but sturdy enough to hold the fish. He picked it up, grabbed the dagger from earlier and began to sharpen the edge and scrape off the bark. The knife cutting through the wood with ease and gave it a smooth surface. Sometimes raw strength was better than technique.

"No problem, S'Essy, I only wish I was a little more experienced with it, as I hardly gave you a perfect lesson here." He chuckled as he reached into the backpack and found the fish and unwrapped it from the container and mercilessly stabbed the stick through the mouth and out the rear. Markus looked to S'Essy. A single fish for them both and then spice it up with bread, cheese and dried beef. Would make a decent meal. The leftovers could become their breakfast. He looked to the ahrd ground and realized he should have sharpened both ends to make it easier to push it into the ground. Once more, raw strength as he began to laboriously stick it into the ground before he gave up when his right had got caught on a bud and cut open his index finger. He didn't swear. Only through willpower. He pulled out the fish-speared stick again, sharpened the other end with the dagger while keeping a precarious look on the other end and then inserted it into the ground again and this time stuck it deep enough that the fish could dangle by the fire and get warmed up. He would sit down by S'Essy. He had been listening to her the whole time, hadn't taken him long to finish the deal. He had been amazed that this was her first camp. Wondering how she had gotten from Mura to Syliras without camping once. Other than if she took the long route by boat?

Oh right, the cabins along Kabryn road.

"S'Essy." He had been sitting by the fire for perhaps a moment before he had put an arm behind her shoulder and under her left arm and pulled her closer so she leaned against him. "Just stick with me and I will show you Syliras." He said confidently as he stared into the flames. Leaning his head against hers. Her hair still damp, but it didn't bother him. "We found the right place." He pointed at the horizon to their left a little with his right hand. Blood dripping from the bud-inflicted wound. "Syna should descend over the lake. Give us a brilliant sunset." He trailed off and gave her side a small squeeze.

She wasn't paying attention while he was preparing the food for them. She was daydreaming for a bit. Was thinking what the future hold them for them. If she would have been a divinist she would have known that. But she was happy that she wasn't marked by Avalis. Not knowing the future was more exciting for her. And she knew helping with healing was more suited for her than being a seer, she knew she would crack up. Then she woke up, came back to the fire, to the camp.

S'Essy finally noticed him again when he sat down next to her and pulled her to him. And his words... his words made her smile. Someone was next to her, someone was looking after her. "I will. As I said, I'm yours." And she looked at the direction where he was pointing but just for a moment as she noticed the blood on his hand. The itch she felt, quickly grabbed his hand with hers. Without hesitation she closed the cut with her healing then let it go. "I must... even the slightest." she explained and could finally enjoy the sight of the sunset.

The sight was beautiful how Syna and Leth the two lover changed phase. Being together for that moment, just like the healer and the squire were together. And Leth was ruling on the sky their food was ready and they could eat. It wasn't the best she has ever eaten but it was special and it was still delicious for her.

And the day was over, she was ready to go their tent and rest. She gave a kiss to his cheek and stood up. "That was a wonderful day! Hope you don't mind if I join your tent." she winked and headed to the tent and entered there, getting ready for the night...

There was a simple comfort in watching the sunset with a nice girl like S'Essy. Not a nice girl. His girlfriend. A felt a rush in his stomach at the thought of that. He had found a beautiful, funny and nice girl who tolerated his own poor humour and accepted his fondness for physical touch and nearness. Markus didn't notice the wound on his hand, forgotten in the excitement of having S'Essy lean against him, but when she reached out and used her divine power to heal his finger. He felt the warmth as the wound closed and realized the woman had once more called upon the divine magic to help him. She gave him half an apology half an explanation. But Markus didn't bother as the fondness for the woman grew.

"You are so very cute, I am fortunate to have met you." He gave her a kiss on the cheek before returning his gaze to the sunset. Watching the splendour of a goddess being replaced with the night of Leth. The rays danced across the Pavi Lake. Reflected in the white salt stone structures that cast long shadows into the forest. Added to the beauty of the place. The sparkling water. The soft hues of light blue turned darker by the tick. Soon it was only the embers of their fire that kept them warm and gave them light in the darkness. He glanced in the direction and remembered their food. It was, far from good, but he didn't mind the taste. The company more than made up for the lacking food and he heard no complaints from the Konti lady, although he was sure she had probably tasted better food. Probably also less salty on her island. Fresh fish every day. Seasoned with herbs and spices. Markus closed his eyes as a smirk crossed his lips.

The picture of Mura that he had created in his mind was indeed quite perfect. And he had a slice of that perfection leaning against him. He felt her wet lips press against his cheek before she rose. He looked to her curious as he stifled a yawn. Not realizing it had gotten late and he was quite tired himself. Been up early to prepare this excursion. It was an invitation if he had ever heard one. Markus restrained himself from going to bed right away. Give her a little head start.

"I'll be there in a second." He watched her as she crawled into the tent. He got up and feed the flames a little more fuel. Before hastily crawling in after S'Essy. Catching the woman as she had removed her cloak and was working on the next piece of clothing. No way he could restrain himself any longer. He wanted her, needed her to keep himself sane. A lustful smile appeared on his lips as he kicked off his boots and crawled over to the Konti lady. A hand slid to her lower back, the other found her neck and caressed it gently as he leant her back. Halfway to the ground his lips would find hers before she would be guided onto his bedroll. Their bedroll he assumed, considering she had not brought hers from the other tent. A mistake or a clever calculation? Markus didn't bother with those thoughts as he hungrily kissed the healer. Only stopping briefly to make sure she was okay with his slightly aggressive approach.

"I was thinking..." He spoke lustfully. "That I would share one of the perks of a relationship with you." Before he slid a hand up under her clothes, brushing the hand over her naked flesh at the midriff. He was eager, but still restrained in his approach. Balancing carefully between his own enormous lust for the woman and the knowledge that this would be her first time. Letting things move at a pace the Konti woman hopefully was comfortable with. It was hard. Very hard to constrain himself and take it step by step. If anything, his relationship with Raven had granted him a little more patience when it came to sexual matters. But unless S'Essy pushed him away and told him she wasn't ready. He would carry through with his plans of petching her. Introducing sex to their fresh relationship.
