Short Attention Span
Summer 3rd 514 AV, 11th Bell
Location: Wright Memorial Library
Pulren's day had started with but a simple notion to uphold a promise made to his Sergeant in the time he'd remained outside of Zeltiva, the chance of watching over Ricky's little one being the first that would test how well the Guardsmen could handle the joys and pains of babysitting. Only for a day did he have to do this unless of course Pulren found himself wanting to spend more time with the child, in turn giving Godfather McCenry a break from constant care taking in the role of a family figure he played. Pulren had been given the essentials he would need to watch Martin along with the bag used to carry them around, a useful carrying item left behind by the mother Telion before they departed on the ever daunting trip to the city of Syliras. Inside that bag was a spare diaper should Martin come to need a change, which would happen more often that Pulren might anticipate, along with a bottle of milk and a loaf of bread wrapped to serve as his food. There were other things too Pulren might need but nothing of worth to note as of now, as they were headed towards the place of study the young Guardsmen sought to find.
The instruction Pulren was given was pretty simple, when Martin grew hungry he needed only a piece of milk soaked bread. When given enough of that he wouldn't eat anymore and then Pulren could assume he was done, as for Martin's behaviors that tended to vary. More often than not Martin would have a fit or two that led into cries for his parents, namely due to the fact he missed the loving mother and father that had still yet to show up to return him back home. But he knew little of what had been going on, as he was just a small child that only understood the fact his parents hadn't shown in days. As Pulren walked with Martin in his arms, wrapped in his blanket, and with the bag slung over his shoulder, he looked to the grand building that stood as the library upon the University grounds. All while he'd been walking here the child had curiously watched the transitions of his environment, but especially paid more attention to Pulren himself along the way.
He was a new face really, someone he'd seen a few times, but never really connected to. That would likely change this season, depending on the amount of times Pulren decided to watch the child. Nevertheless Martin was a curious child that did his best to grasp at Pulren's sleeves, if not attempt to grapple the guard's chin as he would often reach up to the man's lips.
oocThat's my starting post for you.
I'll let you pick it up from here and carry it along where you wish to go. Enjoy the babysitting!
