It was long before dawn when a sleepless Tinnok stumbled into the Nook, a sigh of relief cascading out of her mouth as soon as her calloused soles switched from damp cavern floor to cool wet moss. Immediately she felt a surge through her Phylonura marks, the strange tickling sensation that brushed her mind when she came in contact with moss. It was a strange plant, interconnected, yet able to be separated and moved from its bretheren, transplanted with its strange short roots without much work or effort on the part of the mover or the moss as long as it had more water to absorb and the nutrients around or within that supply. Plants never communicated images, but strangely enough Tinnok did get the impressions of colors sometimes. She was never sure if this was her own mind translating the feelings of the plants, or actually how the plants saw it, but different shades of darkness, a feeling or lush moist blues or drier hotter colors, always dampened and darkened sometimes drifted across her sight.

As always, the moss was peaceful and serene, she guessed more so than even most moss because of the presence of Trelessora, who she did not immediately see as she strode further into the nook and knelt upon the ground, continuing to soak up the cool calm of the plants beneath her.

She had come here today for guidance, for answers. Though Tinnok knew that her Mother Goddess shouldn't be the one to tell her the answers she sought. Here was an easy place for the Witch to find clarity in what could sometimes be an otherwise convoluted and confusing world. As of late she had begun to detect Tsuya's restlessness. Neither her nor Tinnok were made to live in caves, despite it being the safest option for them so close to the Myrian Barricade, the addition of the baby wanolo baboon had only driven this fact home harder. The three of them were meant to range, to roam. The new biomes Caiyha had marked with on their previous encounter expanded the fields she could help in her travels. Wheras before she was only a witch of a Jungle, now...caverns and water sources, there was a chance to wander and to expand her knowledge, find more biomes new to her, to aid Caiyha outside of the home she knew. The farthest she had ever traveled was to the Grave of Behemoths, but with Tsyua in tow, could she go even farther?

These thoughts and more troubled the half breed. Sometimes she felt like her skin itched for no reason, a symptom of this restlessness she now realized. She had thought to make Zinrah her new home, yet the longer she stayed, the more she realized this could not be a true possibility.

A long huff of a sigh escaped Tinnok's throat. She shook her head and focused upon the moss. The moss did not think it felt and ate and grew. She pushed her worries away, closed her eyes and sank her fingers into the cool spongy grasp of the moss, letting her mind clear and be replaced with the utter darkness...and occasional shade of color that the moss communicated to her.

Her mind stilled. She knew that in order to truly get better at meditation she needed to still her mind by herself, but plants seemed the essence of what one looking to meditate wanted to achieve. They had no thoughts save survival, they were peaceful, empty of emotion, and simply running her fingers along them always served to calm the Witch, no matter how tumultuous her emotions.

She began whispering in Myrian, to know one in particular, letting the thoughts in her mind exit her mouth, not worried about who or what would hear. "When I went to ask her guidance in the Tear of the Clouds she gave me another mark and sent me to Zinrah. I thought that meant You wanted me to stay, but now I think this place was just to give us shelter until I was ready to move on...I am scared so scared of leaving the jungle. Every branch and leaf, bird and insect, I see and feel, hear you within them, know that you are with me guiding me. I am a child, I know that You are always with me and it won't change, but it is like leaving a Mother's embrace. I think that is why I have to go."

"I didn't know monkeysss could talk sso much." Trelessora emerged in Dhani form, her scales a bright yellow, so bright Tinnok would have been surprised she didn't notice her before if she hadn't been paying the least bit of attention when she had entered the cavern. She had come to Caiyha's nook multiple times, but never actually encountered its guardian. According to what she heard about Sora, that wasn't necessarily a bad thing.

Since her grasp of common was severely limited she decided to keep it short and sweet. "Sometimes."

Sora chuckled and slithered closer to the Witch, settling down near the cool clear pool of water in her sanctuary. "I hate mosst of the inhabitantss of thiss city, you I hate, but not for the ssame reasonss. I felt your markss the firsst time you came in here, did you not feel mine?"

Tinnok only nodded. She did feel Sora's presence each time she entered the Nook, just as she had known that Constrictor in the jungle on that fateful day had also been a Witch. "I do not like that my Ssanctuary respondss to you, perhapss even sstronger than it doess to me. Why do you come sseeking Caiyha'ss guidance thiss day?"

Tinnok paused putting the sentence together before she spoke, for she didn't like sounding like a bumbling fool in front of Dhani, "I think I must go."

Sora's stance perked somewhat, her face splitting into that toothy grin that Dhani could achieve that still unsettled Tinnok to this day. "You should go. You may have gotten Sssiku'ss permisssion to sstay becausse Caiyha favorss you, but you know you do not belong here, neither you, nor the sstrange human child."

Tinnok frowned, but couldn't be upset by the bluntness of the Constrictor's words, even if partially the wisdom was given out of territorial jealousy. She rose from the ground and inclined her head to Sora. "Thank you, may Caiyha Bless You." Her lips twitched when she turned around and strode from the room. Of course the answers she had sought had been within her this whole time.

She needed to find Tsuya.

She found Tsuya in their cavern, feeding a bit of fruit to her baby baboon. The creature glanced up and chattered good naturedly at Tinnok as she entered, his blue fur appearing black in the dim light of the cave.

"Did you have a good time at the Nook?" Tsuya's head canted to the side, and Tinnok sat down in front of the girl crossing her legs. Normally she would talk in Common with the girl to get more practice, but when she needed to get across her ideas clearly she spoke in Myrian and Tsuya in Common both able to understand each other's native tongue.

"I think it is time for us to leave Zinrah."

She had expected surprise to one degree or another, but Tsuya only nodded stroking the soft fur on the wanolo's head. "I think that is a good idea, he isn't happy here in the caves and I don't think I am either, not really." Tinnok's mouth opened and closed, and Tsuya smiled and continued. "I know you're not happy here either Tin, you helped the caves get in better balance, but even though you've spent your life in the jungles and as a Witch you could do it for...well forever, that's not what Caiyha has meant for you, I know it, or she never would have marked you again."

Tinnok's mouth closed, then she placed a hand on Tsuya's shoulder. "When did you become so clever, Tsuya?"

The girl winked at her. "Being around my teacher really helped." The half breed found herself blushing, but Tsuya staved off the emotion by speaking again. "So where are we going?

Tinnok nodded and began. "I have traveled to the drylands of Falyndar far out into the corner of the land, but I think we should go North into Kalea. I do not know much about it other than the mountains, but if we follow the Zavkhan it will lead us to the border and beyond."

"So just head North until we leave Falyndar?"

Tinnok nodded. "I will buy supplies with hunting money. We will save dried meats and rations as long as we can and forage for seasonal fruits and hunts in Falyndar. I will buy climbing equipment...at least some, and we will go from there, yes?" A fear crept into Tinnok's stomach then, the fear of the unknown, what lay beyond the humid lush depths of the jungle. It would be cold, harsh, with great mountains so great she could not even imagine. How would she cross the land? Would they bring enough supplies? Would they starve?

It was Tsuya's turn to put a hand on Tinnok's shoulder. "Sounds like a great plan, Tin. We'll pack, you buy goods, say goodbyes, and leave right? It will be an adventure!" Tinnok could have cried, wondering precisely when Tsuya had began caring for her and not the other way around.

She smiled and rose, making to leave then turning around. "We will leave on the 15th."[color] Then she strode out. If they were leaving for the mountains she had to collect the right things for their journey.c
