7th of Spring, 515
Location: Anywhere outside of the city walls
A hushed murmur travels from one floral enthusiast to another around The Flower Stand. Atta has been very secretive about her newest discovery and it's got patrons both old and new abuzz with excitement. For the past three days, people have been coming by the shop more and more, trying to cajole some information out of the sweet old woman, and even peeping in through her windows now and then to sneak a look at the mysterious flower. But so far no one has been able to unearth anything the shopkeeper had not willingly divulged.
There were only two clues that surfaced after Atta posted her request on the bulletin board: the flower most likely had white blossoms and a fruitlike fragrance.
Atta keeps her secret closely guarded not out of greed or paranoia, but in the best interests of her precious discovery itself. The Florist knows better than anyone else in the city how delicate a flower's life can be and she wishes to keep it in absolutely ideal conditions before she releases it to the public. If anyone pesters her too much for information, she simply dives headfirst into her newest set of dirge-centric prose. That gets rid of prying ears easily enough.
Though the Spring weather, aside from the minor flooding here and there, couldn't be more perfect for flower gathering, Atta is too busy with her discovery and too great in years to go off gallivanting in the woods on her own. But if someone enters her shop with the samples she had requested, her weathered features will instantly split into a warm smile and her earth-covered hands beckon the sample hunter in for a pleasant little chat, the appropriate compensation, and, if she likes and trusts the individual enough, perhaps a little sneak peak of the prized flower itself, too.
The first thing one will notice upon entering her shop is the sheer volume of blooms lining her shelves, hanging from her walls, and filling every container in sight. Colors of every hue, shade, and tint can be found during Spring and Atta herself is happy to educate anyone curious enough to ask which flower is which.
Meanwhile, nature itself is being adorned with a plethora of floral decor as well. Many places between the city walls and Cobalt Mountains have begun to show signs of budding plants. Others have flora and fauna in full bloom already, especially around the roots of trees and near shallow ponds, and more still thrive where Syna's light shines longest. But beware, not all of the flowers are as harmless as they appear. Some use their fragrance to lure in prey and a few are poisonous from head to toe. Caution is advised!
