Mindful Healing

Chilly for a day in the middle of spring but one couldn't necessarily complain, the weather permitted enjoyment at least and the breeze honestly felt great, at least in the state of mind Ricky found himself in today. He'd dressed in the lighter layered outfit which usually was just the white vest and the beige shorts he wore, while is son on the other hand had a blue short sleeved shirt on and white trousers, with socks and shoes large enough to fit a Pycon kept his feet warm. The ground felt a little rigid compared to the beach here but that was because of its location more or less, either way with a blanket placed over the area they sat at, Ricky found the spot all the more perfect for what he'd come here to do today. While he decided to watch their son and let Telion have the luxury of working a little easier today, Ricky felt that Martin would actually help serve as a distraction for him, yet at the same time help serve as a medium of a sort for personal reasons.
The child played with his toys Ricky brought along carelessly as he looked to his father, a wide grin flashed as he offered the Laviku figurine up to his father. "Da!" A hearty smile parted Ricky's lips as he took the toy, a mix of joy and pride felt in hearing Martin refer to him as dad. "Ye're growin' so big son, almost too quickly really. 'bout time ya slowed down a lil'!" He teased as he waved the figurine in front of the boy, Martin gave a short laugh and bounced a little as he took the toy again. Not much longer afterwards it seemed as though the child would wave his arms about, and Ricky just continued to laugh a little and softly play along with the child. His mind partially went elsewhere as he thought more about everything, all his brooding he started this season felt like it did nothing, when it truth it allowed him to reach this point where he needed the time to reflect. It had been what he did ever since he arrived here a while ago, practically since he even left the door to their house he'd been given.
Everything he had to think about more or less reflected on how he viewed everything, how his perspectives started to feel askew overtime, and in turn brought him to feel lost on where he stood in time. Ideals were great and all but the sense of normalcy had gotten the best of him, before he knew it those ideals of being ordinary practically consumed his being. Now that the water seemed to clear up and his head started to straighten out, he started to find the sense of ability to reason again. It had been the type of grounding he sought for a while; now with the help of his child here to serve as a reminder of innocence, as well as what Ricky himself originally stood for, all that remained was the ability to come to his own terms. "Guess I've already figured out what Oi wanna do t'ough." He realized when he reflected on yesterday's visit to the Lord of Council's office, by tomorrow he would resume the job he put to rest with a rekindled flame. With the Gnosis mark on his hand to also remind him of his current status, he noted that he needed to do more, or rather be more than just a guardian to the city he protected.
"Da loves ya son, Da loves ya very much." He expressed with an joyous smile to the boy, his right hand held up before the boy as he generated a small orb of light. The presence of Luminance brought a squeal out of the boy as he dropped the toy, almost eager to try and grapple the ball like it were a special sort of toy.
