OOCMight as well give Sel a reason to eat the sailor... :)

Nidassasyae nodded almost imperceptibly as Luke asked her for help. She didn't want his gratitude, or to have him indebted to her. However, she'd already started to interfere, and decided to throw reason out the window and just keep on going along with it. Besides, there were few enough interesting things to do within the city's walls, she might as well have her fun while it lasted.

The sailor had seemed to quiet down for the moment, Nida assumed that this was because of a lack of someone to listen to his shouting. When she moved to take her hand from his chest, so that she could untie Luke, the Kelvic found her wrist clutched in the sailor's hand. His eyes narrowed and glinted as he leered down at the petite young woman. She suddenly froze under that gaze, never having had anyone look at her like that before, but could guess what he wanted. A terrible thought occurred to her: While in this form, she was no longer the hunter. He was the predator, she was the prey. Fear, pure and undiluted flooded through the Bond. She wanted to snap, to tear at this man with her fangs, but she could not. Like a rabbit under a predator's gaze, she simply stood there, frozen in fear and shock.

"Where ya goin', little missie?" asked the sailor. "Not to this 'ere vagik? Or back ov'r to yer skinny 'n pale little suitor over there? Yer looking for a much bett'r tumble than with these 'ere, like as not," he spoke now with a certain certainty and swagger, his eyes running up and down her slim form. "Well now, ain't you a tiny one?"

"Let go," Nidae managed to hiss, still frozen in fear. The sailor simply grinned at her, pulling her closer to him and leaning forwards so that his face was right before hers.

"Don't get yer skirts inna tangle, if you had any. Only askin tah be polite, you could do much better than these little menfolk of yers," the sailor shook his head and tsk tsked. He was so close, she could smell the faint scent of alcohol on his breath. He obviously wasn't drunk, but had probably taken a swig or two. "How about a kiss then, lassie? Show you just 'ow much yer missing, hanging out with little boys like 'em."

Sel, she thought desperately, lips frozen in fear. Nidae tried saying something, but no words would come from her throat. The sailor obviously took this as a 'Go right ahead!' because he started to lean closer to her, one arm snaking around her waist.

Now, this wasn't exactly new. A human, who pulled the short end, asking for help, and promising something no one of them ever keeps. If this all is over, they are lightly to not see him anymore. The Dhani knew all that, but, he couldn't just walk away. Not now. There was someone trying to end the fight, and he swore to himself he will keep this someone safe. So he stayed there, not making any sound, not moving a bit from the spot he stood in. He simply looked at the human who was not tied, waiting for his next move. He seemed calm.

But was he?

It all happened so fast, the Dhani could barely keep up with it all. While Nida tried to untie one of the humans, the other took the opportunity and...touched her. Now, he was more of a cold fella, but that thing made his blood boil. Who, in the name of Siku, was he, to even dare lay a finger on her. He resisted the urge of shifting. He couldn't. They were in a town. Some sort of monster attack wouldn't end well. He had that much of control in him. But he had a small surprise on his own for the human.

He could feel the fear trough the bond. The feeling of this knowledge only made his anger grow. He knew he wasn't suited for fighting in this form, without any weapons in disposal, but he wasn't going to simply stand there and wait. The sailor's words, and his look, made his next move clear.

He closed his eyes for a moment, and taking a deep breath, Here, he answered trough the bond, before sliding his right foot forward, and shifting his weight on it, leaning slightly forward. he opened his eyes, and only a split second after he started to move, he sprung forward the Sailor, with gathered speed far away from a normal human. He went to the right, to avoid harming his Kelvic bondmate, and suddenly appeared to be behind the Sailor. He did sue his left leg to land on, re-gaining his balance, and then turning around, furious with the actions from the past minute. Those humans deserve better than to die.

And with that thought, he launched his assault. He brought his leg in a round motion up, and position his knee at the spot where his spine was, right above the back side of his pelvis. Maybe he wasn't strong as a Constrictor, but if he scored the hit, it would hurt none the less. Due to two things, he thought while moving, he did have the element of surprise, and the speed he could gain because of him not being a human. He grinned at that last thought. They all deserve to die, and nothing else. Starting with this one.

Yes. This is how quick a Dhani can lose his calmness and peace. Just too bad this did not happen in a forest.
"Who knows? Life is like a roll on the dice. You can’t know if something is a good, or a bad roll until it already happened."

Pain and humiliation... What are friends for! [Open]

Postby Luke Lammergeier on January 2nd, 2011, 11:08 pm

As the young woman started untying Luke he thanked her deeply. This was not something he would take lightly. A person giving help to a angry tied up clown wasn't an everyday thing. Especially for a man like Luke. He was so happy he could just kiss her. Of course that would be completely rude to do anything like that but, the thought counts. When the sailor came close and grabbed Nidassasyae he immediately wanted to hurt someone. His disgustingly confident air when he talked to her made his skin crawl. This pig could go from fighting to hitting on a woman within seconds it was truly repulsive and gave Luke all the reason to head butt.

Fear of being apprehended was troubling but it wouldn't matter now with a person to untie him. He could escape and just change out of his already hideously convenient disguise. He started to move closer to back the woman up and get a little closer to get the sweet spot on the top of the sailors head. Before he could say or do anything the image of Seliarus came into view. Luke guessed this was the small man the sailor mentioned. It wasn't clear if he was running away or getting behind him. Either way he had some serious speed and when Seliarus got behind the sailor Luke smiled. He didn't know what he was planning but it was something he wanted in on.

Luke quickly got on the front left side of Nidassasyae timing had to be just right. The idiot turned his attention on Luke and before he could even think about turning or yelling at him. Seliarus landed whatever blow he was planning. From the expression on the sailor it wasn't pretty. He arched his back in pain and used his hands to put pressure on the spot he got hit. Starting to lean forward to ease the pain as well. When his head got close to Luke and Nidassasyae. Luke sent his thick skull full force into the temple of the sailor. At least that was what he was aiming for anyways. This was all a very bad decision and the city guard would not take kindly to any of this.

///OCC\\\ I like the idea of each person leaving the reaction of the sailor to the next person. Like how he reacted to being hit and if he did etc. im new to Rping so I dont know if thats how people already do it lol. Kinda like in thread modding? I thot it would be fun. And killer accent Nidassasyae! I loved it a lot lol. I cant figure how to do things like that at all

OOCWell, usually the person who introduces the NPC in the thread gets to say their reactions, or the mod does. However, since you had charge of the NPC, I guess it was up to you to change that :)

Lol, thanks Luke! By the way, you don't need to type the her entire name, Nida's fine :)

Feet rooted to the ground in fear, Nida flinched away as the sailor leaned in to kiss her. Out of the corner of her eye, she caught the movement of Sel as he leaped forwards, to her defense. Had she not expected the sailor to kiss her in that very moment, Nida would have marveled that, against all expectations, he was the one protecting her, not vice versa. But she was unused to being a damsel in distress, and was distracted by the situation at hand.

The kiss never came. The arm that had wrapped around her waist, holding her closer to the sailor, suddenly pulled free as the man arched backwards in pain. Her wrist had been freed too. But the predator's gaze had been broken, and the prey's natural reaction would be to take flight.

Nidae stumbled back, shocked at what had just happened in the span of a couple of seconds. No one had ever looked at her like that before. Like she was some sort of delicacy that he had wanted to 'try'. The playful and predatory lust in his eyes frightened her to the depths of her being. This was why leopards lived in solitude, far away from civilization. Man was cunning, he adapted quickly and knew exactly what he wanted and how to get it. The hunger in the sailor's gaze had frightened her. She bit her lip as she realized that as a human, she was almost powerless against males. T-Thank you..., she sent through the Bond, relief and faint traces of shock went through the Bond to Sel.

But she did not move from her new position, didn't swoon or faint. Perhaps ladies did that when some gentleman defended their honor, but she certainly was no lady. Nida would have sprang at the sailor, but the idea of making contact with him again disgusted her. Instead, like any useless person from the crowd, she simply stood there as the two men proceeded to beat the sailor up. The almost comical attack from the bound stranger brought her back to her senses, realizing that she had to help. He had hit the sailor right on his temple, sending the already off-balance man crashing to the ground.

Left, right, left... She concentrated on putting each foot forwards. Nida pulled out her dagger, and to the disappointment and relief of the crowd, simply proceeded to cut Luke's bindings away. The Kelvic kept her face down and eyes focused on the task, knowing that she would very well be tempted to stab the prone sailor if she caught his gaze.

"That's enough now," called out a member of the crowd, another tall sailor. He didn't seem to be the fallen man's friend, as the look that he cast towards him was one of distaste. "Leave off. The guards'll be here soon, if you keep that up."

Nida simply nodded to him, finishing cutting the rope off Luke, then slipping the dagger into its place in her pack. Adverting her eyes, she made her way towards her Bondmate. If she knew him at all, Nida expected the Dhani to still be fuming. Although he would never show it, she guessed that he wouldn't cool off that quickly. "Calm, it's over", she murmered to Seliarus, slipping her arms around his waist and resting her head on his chest. If the words didn't work, at least the position would stop him from attacking and getting the city's guards involved in this.

Her action earned her a few whistles and cheers from the crowd, who eyed the young couple. Nida blushed, not wanting all this attention. Besides, they had this other man to deal with.

"L-Let's get out of here, somewhere quieter?" she asked, looking first at Sel, then at Luke. "I think I've earned the story of what happened to you, at least, no?" This she directed at Luke. It wasn't a order, or even something remotely close. It was simply a question, asked by an overcurious girl. Her voice shook as she spoke, still in shock, but trying to pull herself together so they wouldn't all get arrested. Men, she sighed.

The hit was landed, and he couldn't ask for a better result. Not only did the Sailor miss his movements, he also let go of his Kelvic friend. And that was all that mattered. Furious as he was, he knew very well that some sort of brawl would sooner or later be broken up by a local guard. But, where were the guards now? How could he even count on them if they aren't there when he would need them. How could Sel ever trust in human laws if they make no sense. No fighting, yet when they happen there was no one to stop them. No way he would be letting this human live for what he did.

But that aside, she was safe now, and her gratitude was the only thing he needed to regain his senses. To know she was safe made every risk he did worth it. With the corner of his eye, he seen her untying the other man, who they indented to safe, and afterwords, that man kind of knocked the Sailor down. Guess the beating was too much for a man like him. He simply hissed. And this kind of human tried to kiss his bondmate? This human was the oh-so-tough real man he claimed to be? He wouldn't even be worth shifting for.

But now the Sailor was lying on the ground, and the crowd that Sel did not even note until now, started to cry about a guard or something. Yeah right. But then again, why was a crowd here, and did nothing in the first place? They don't even stick together as a race. A disgrace. What, do they let each other tie up and play beat-em-up on a daily basis. Why did he even bother finding a way not to hate these selfish things that called themselves human. They were monsters, like him. No, even HE was more human than them.

That did it. He already made a step forward the not moving human on the ground. Ready to just step on his throat and watch him suffocate. But, something did stop his movement. He heard a familiar voice, and a touch. Not everyone would dare to make contact with him like that, so he did knew who is was, without looking. His anger did cloud his vision. But the hug brought him back. Back from his anger filled thoughts. He could see the world again as it was.

He lowered his head, and returned the warm embrace he received. Pressing her against his being, and releasing a sigh. Anger, that was controlling his actions, was now replaced by relief, as Nida was safe now. Yet, he did peer up at the Sailor in front of them. And while the hug lasted, he whispered in hear ear, as delicate and cold as he ever could. Not really hearable to the rest but the two.
"Let me take him with usss... I will make sssure he will be at leassst oncsse usseful in his life..." He grinned, and thought about a table, knife, and a lot of blood, hoping she would get the message via their link. He wanted to make a sacrifice. He made a promise to the goddess herself. And Siku gave him an opportunity.

After he whispered that, his gaze, as cold as always, turned to Luke. While he did eventually break the hug they had, the gaze remained the same. Distrust, and hate. What was he going to do now, now that he was freed, and could run away as he would see fit. Was he really worth that much, so Nida risked her own safety for him. For a stranger. He would be about to find out.
"Who knows? Life is like a roll on the dice. You can’t know if something is a good, or a bad roll until it already happened."

Pain and humiliation... What are friends for! [Open]

Postby Luke Lammergeier on January 4th, 2011, 8:29 am

It gave Luke shivers and goose bumps to be apart of team work like this. Sel kneed the guy straight into his head butt. He couldn't ask for a better way to lay out a disrespectful pig. When Nida cut him free his happiness was completely peaked. This nightmare turned into one of the best brawls he has ever had.

Although with his arms finally free he could do so much more with the sailor. thoughts of broken bones and split eye brows seemed so damn good at the moment. When a man from the crowd called out to cut it out and warned about the guards Luke stopped going towards the unconscious man. It was true if anything more happened people would have no choice but to get help. It was good some people had enough sense to say something before it all escalated but, where was this man earlier? The thought pissed Luke off but he let it go like usual. Keeping quiet while people were hypocrites was a difficult necessity to be safe in life. Nevertheless this person had a good point. He turned his attention to the wonderful people that helped him instead and picked up his good mood again.

When the young couple hugged each other Luke couldn't help but cheer and whistle with the crowd. It was the cutest thing he had seen in a long time. When they broke contact Nida asked if she had earned his story yet. He dropped the cheers and settled for a large grin instead. He walked closer to the couple but gave them space. Seliarus didn't seem all that friendly towards either Luke or anyone in particular. He was prepared for a sour greeting and didn't mind.

“You two have earned more than my story!” He smiled with gratitude and kept talking. “That conversation will have to wait until we are alone and I am better dressed” He laughed a little at his ridiculous outfit. “My name is Luke Lammergeier and you will be rewarded for this” He held his hand out to add the greeting with a shake even though it was likely to be snubbed. Even if it was it was still perfectly acceptable, his company was not human obviously and may not get the point.

Nidassasyae sighed in relief the hate and anger that had clouded Sel's vision slowly drifted away. That wasn't to say he wasn't angry, it was just that his actions would not be influenced by his darker emotions. Judging from the whisper that tickled her ear, Sel was certainly not past his anger, and not done with this Sailor.

"Take him, if you will," she whispered back. Yep, the bloodlust definitely still sang through his veins. Though even she couldn't say she wasn't a bit thrilled at the idea of a sacrifice. The Kelvic wanted to see that which Sel had been craving for so long. When he broke the hug, she simply moved to stand beside him, twining her fingers with his. Though she tried her hardest to look completely calm, Nida wasn't a master of the 'poker face'. In fact, she had a hard time changing her facial expression to anything but what she was currently feeling. She'd never seen the point in hiding her emotions, until this very second.

Nida was still very much shaken by the encounter. She struggled with concealing her shock and fear. In a city full of predators, the last thing she wanted to be was an obvious target. As a predator herself, she knew that a frightened prey animal brought attention to itself, something that she really didn't want right now. But this was based off nature, not off anything she knew of human towns. Despite her best efforts, Nida's voice was still soft, and she stood close to her Bondmate, biting her lower lip to keep her face from twisting into a mask of worry and fear. The situation had not been terribly scarring, not by a long shot, but it was enough for Nida's rapidly disappearing naiveté to vanish completely. Before, she had distrusted humans simply because of what they were like to Sel. Now, she had witnessed firsthand their lack of regard for others. And to think, in the middle of all these realizations, she was the one left to clean up the mess! Gods know what men would do if left to themselves, Nida sighed internally. Seliarus, ever the diplomat, had evidently decided that the best course of action would be to glare at the stranger with a hateful look. So it was left to the Kelvic, who knew so little of humanity, to make sure that the situation stayed civil.

"I'm glad to hear that, I do love a good story," the Kelvic smiled faintly, obviously making an effort not to look so worried. What she needed was a deer, a fresh and bloodied one. That would definitely set her straight.

"Yes, I've never seen a male wear clothes like that. Is that why you and the sailor yelled at each other?" It was an honest enough question. Nida had been among humans long enough to observe that females were usually the ones wearing skirts, but couldn't quite figure out why. She'd simply thought that it was another of those odd human customs, like the handshake that this 'Luke' expected now. It didn't make sense why people should yell over clothes. After all, they were just fabric.

Pulling herself together, she managed to return Luke's handshake with a firm grasp. A kind Avanthalian had taught her that, though she still puzzled over why people wanted to grab each other's hands as a greeting. "Hello Luke, you can call me Nidae. And this is Sel." The Kelvic nudged Seliarus' booted foot with her own, trying to get him to be civil. "We neither ask for, nor want a reward. Except perhaps, helping us lift this man up?" The girl inclined her head towards the prone sailor.

OOC: Short post, but a bit out of ideas of what to say, seeing I wont speak. So apologizing for that.

Sel observed the man, who called himself Luke, step forward. Now, as hard as he tried, he knew very well that the glare should leave as soon as possible, just for the sake of 'being civil' , or how his Bondmate called that. But how could he. Thanks to this man Nida did this stunt, and almost got hurt. It was a bit strange for her to even be that kind towards humans, but, well, all he could do was to play along. After all, he did got the unconscious man in return. That made his glare towards Luke a bit easier, and less hostile. And when his name was called out as a greeting, he simply nodded at him. He wasn't going to touch the man's hand, but, at least he did recognize his presence. That was enough for a greeting the Dhani understood.

Now, as in Slyras, also here in Zeltiva, Sel wasn't going to speak out loud to anyone expect those whom he trusts, so he was back at playing the unfriendly mute, liking it or not. So, instead of saying something, he simply looked at Nida when she asked for him to help pick up the Sailor up. That was a great idea, he thought for himself. And after looking back at Luke, he offered another nod, as trying to express his approval of said reward.
"Who knows? Life is like a roll on the dice. You can’t know if something is a good, or a bad roll until it already happened."

Luke was surprised when Nida shook back. He didn't expect her to take his hand, especially with what just happened. The hand shake was firm and he couldn't help but be impressed. She introduced the pair as Sel and Nadae, both seemed like good people to Luke. Sel dropped most of his glare and nodded. It was something at least and Luke was accustomed to this kinda reaction so he was used to it.

They didn't ask or want anything in return but that wasn't about to happen with Luke, they needed to get something. He did want him to help them carry that sailor but it seemed odd. Luke wasn't a prejudice man but he was logical. Two non-humans wanting to take a defenseless man. This seemed a little strange and would probably lead to the idiot being eaten, but he was in their debt.

Sel looked like he was built for speed not heavy lifting and Nidae was petite to say the least. He was fine with the idea of helping them but really needed to get changed soon. Luckily his pack he had been holding so tightly this whole time, held a change of cloths. Whenever they stopped in a private place he could get changed. Weapons and armor could come later. He strapped it to his back getting ready to help them out.

The crowd was already dispersing, when the action stopped so did peoples attention. This left the sailor up for grabs and that was too bad for him. He nodded towards the sailor so they could talk while picking him up. He kept his voice down to keep this conversation between the three.

“I am more than willing to help, but what exactly do you need him for? Sorry, but my work has kept me busy and a little ignorant of other races so your gonna have to fill me in.” He tried to sound nice to keep from offending anyone about this. He even smiled to show he was a friend in the matter. It may be hard for them to trust an unknown human but he was willing to prove it to them.

He quickly lifted the man off the ground and put him on his right shoulder. He was heavier then he looked and it pissed Luke off even further. He was a jack ass awake and yelling and now he was a heavy burden when knocked out. Whoever this was he defiantly deserved whatever these two were planning to do to him.

///OCC\\\ im liking where this is going! You guys are awesome RPers. It's fine if you post short Sel I dun mind. Also where are we taking the bafoon? There are beaches around Zelvita and a mountain pass but not a lot of land I dont think. But you can just add a small foresty patch im sure no one will get mad.

OOCAww, thanks Luke! You're awesome too! I'm really enjoying this thread, too much fun! :D Sorry for the short post as well, didn't have much to work with.

Perhaps a beach? I doubt they'd walk all the way up to a mountain pass. What do you guys think?

Nidae thought fast. She knew most people didn't really like the idea of sacrifices, and wasn't too sure about how this Luke would react. He had fought with this sailor, but did humans really not care about others of their race? Of course, she wasn't really one to talk. There was a certain fox Kelvic that she'd been dying to get claws on, and she hated him for far less than Luke could possibly hate this sailor. Or did he?

No, she couldn't trust Luke with this information yet. Like Markus and Nehsmay, humans had to earn her trust before she gave them hers in return. "If I told you that, I'd loose all of my mysteriousness," she replied coyly.

"Now, where would be a good spot to hear this story, or where you can change out of those clothes?" she asked, not much of a master at the subject change.

Nida still had a hard time understanding the concept of modesty, and had no qualms about changing in the middle of a street, but she supposed that Seliarus wouldn't like that very much. That was pretty much her only reason for keeping her clothes on, as animals didn't care for restricting garments. Why people did this was a mystery to her, but since Luke was so obviously uncomfortable in women's clothes, and he seemed a nice enough man, she simply factored the changing into wherever they were going.
