The Dhani observed with a delicate grin as Luke picked the sailor up. At that moment, he couldn't even find a word in his Dhani tongue to praise the quick thinking of his bondmate, who quite easily made the reply he couldn't think of in minutes. He wouldn't hide his intentions to a human. Luke seemed friendly, and quite an alright guy, and if Sel would be human, he would quite easily see the man-in-dress as a friend, despite the fact that he was brawling. But he wasn't a human. He disliked humans for what they did to him. And even though this human wasn't responsible for the actions that occurred in the past, the Dhani couldn't look past the fact that he really was a human. Just another person who he could slowly inflict pain. No, he wasn't going to trust him, as he trusts Nehsmay. At least, not yet.

He did not know around this city, so when Nida asked for a place, all he could do was look at the human again, only hiding his grin now, then, he did not want to be seen suspicious. Even though he kind of was anyways. He eagerly waited for a response, but then walked closer to Luke, and his struggle to keep the human on his shoulder, so he decided they would travel faster if he would help him. So he pulled the sailor over his left shoulder, and give the rest of the body a place to lean on.
"Who knows? Life is like a roll on the dice. You can’t know if something is a good, or a bad roll until it already happened."

Pain and humiliation... What are friends for! [Open]

He smiled brightly as Nida threw out an answer as sneaky as his question. It was alright with him, after all he was the odd one out and couldn't be trusted. His paranoia taught him to be wary in these situations and if he had to prove his worth to them, so be it.

She asked if there was a secluded place to hear his story, although he doubted that was the reason. Fortunately his hanging that day would prove beneficial now. It was a fairly long stretch of beach and if you went farther down it there was a series of tall rocks. It would provide good cover for whatever they would be doing. Plus the tides would naturally clean any blood or evidence away. He tried not assuming negative things about his companions intentions, but he couldn't help but thinking it was some way dietary. As long he wasn't the main dish Luke was perfectly fine with it.

Before he could respond to any of this Sel came up and tired shouldering some of the weight. Luke had to crouch down just to be able to let him carry half of the weight. The difference between the two men was nearly a foot and Luke saw it easier if he carried it himself. The gesture was greatly appreciated but if he had to hunch the whole way it would be ten times worse on both people.

“Thank you, but It'd be more complicated for me to be leaning into you the whole time, I've got this friend” He straightened back up and adjusted the sailor into a better load bearing position on his shoulder. He turned his head towards Nida and addressed her.

“Their are plenty of more mysterious things about both of you then this idiot. But I respect that. And even though you don't need to trust me yet. I can assure you that I have either seen or done more terrible things than what you plan on doing.” He smiled in a kind of regretful way. It wasn't something to be proud of or flaunt. “We should hurry though. If people see this it could be awkward. I'll take you to a secure place. Nida” He nodded towards the alley way to show were they were going. Walking down it with a quick pace.

Nidassasyae returned his smile with a grin of her own, exposing fangs in the place of a human's canines. If he had not been wary in the first place, that would surely have given him good reason to be. It could serve as a reminder of sorts, even if that was not her intention.

The shock was starting to wear off, but not the anger. The part of her that was mirroring Sel made anger hard to forget. She wouldn't judge Luke for it, that all depended on his actions. Like a weasel differs from a lion, so did these humans differ from one another. But this sailor was another matter entirely. He had shown, quite clearly, what kind of person he was. At least, to Nida's anger-clouded eyes.

"Well, isn't that a relief." One corner of her mouth crept upwards in a crooked smile. Nida knew nothing of Luke, and if he wanted to establish that he wasn't a 'good' person, then she wouldn't stop him. Frankly, these human ideas of good and evil were starting to annoy her. Couldn't everyone just shut up and behave normally? Then again, she didn't understand good and evil, so Nida wasn't one to talk.

"Let's go then." The Kelvic walked alongside the men. She knew better than to offer them aid. This form was useless in terms of strength, and a leopard walking through city streets might attract more attention than they wanted, especially since they were carrying some sailor off.

OOC: Short one again. Got some things on my back. I'll return to the usual posts as soon as possible. But for now, this is all I can do. =/

The Dhani shrugged. Sure, the one time he offered help to a human without any tricks, was the time he got declined. Why did he even bother, in the first place. he motioned to Luke to start walking then, and as they started, he kept the distance between the two humans.

But, then it happened. This Luke, said, that he did more horrible things than a sacrifice to Siku. has the human completely lost his senses? He couldn't help himself. he grinned slightly, almost laughing. But not a laugh that comes after a joke. Even though that was funnier than any joke he did hear until now. He tried to regain his cold afterwords.
"Who knows? Life is like a roll on the dice. You can’t know if something is a good, or a bad roll until it already happened."

Pain and humiliation... What are friends for! [Open]

With Luke in front and his two mysterious saviors in tow the group headed down the dark alley way towards the beach. Thankfully no one saw or caught onto them when they crossed threw the back street. Once reaching the edge of town and starting down the beach it wasn't much farther til the rock formations and good cover. Luke was nervous about the local guards. This area wasn't easy to run away from and carrying a man off to his death wouldn't be a pleasant charge.

It was a little odd to be walking down the same beach he just got lynched on, and now with two companions. He still had the sickening pain in his neck and seeing the tree made him want to puke slightly. Despite this he was beginning to feel a little uncomfortable with what was happening. He was really vulnerable and didn't even have a weapon. There was something going on here, he was no fool but he was in their debt for there help. The second he could he needed to get changed and head into town for weapons and armor. It should give them time to prepare for whatever they were doing.

Once they reached the end of the beach and entered the rock formations Luke felt all the more uneasy without a weapon. On top of that large smooth gray rocks covered them from the city so if anything did happen it would go unnoticed. The rocks were scattered in all shapes and sizes along this side of the beach. The area they were a had several large stones spaced apart on all sides, and one rock that was lower than the rest in the center. Acting as a natural table, it almost seemed perfect for the situation. With little consideration for the idiot taking up his right shoulder, Luke dropped the fool on top of the stone slab.

“Well friends if you will excuse me this dress is breezy, I will be back soon.” He smiled a little with his dumb joke and left for an area a little more private to change in. When he got to the area he took off his back pack and checked around for his new companions and if they were creeping on him. Changing quickly he tossed that horrid dress into the ocean to let it drift far from sight. The cool sea breeze would have been nice any other time of year but in winter it was completely freezing. He rushed to put his cloths back. Once he got change he had to use his arms to cradle his chest for warmth. This weather was ridiculous.

Nida followed closely behind the two men, peering at the people around them suspiciously. She didn't quite understand the concept of the law, but knew that people wouldn't be happy if they knew what they were doing. After all, laws meant nothing, as long as you didn't get caught.

As they walked along the beach, she frowned suspiciously at the sand beneath her feet. It looked so powdery, and was harder to keep her footing on than normal ground. But not like snow, where she would sink deeper. The Kelvic reached out and grabbed a handful of sand, rubbing it between her fingers before dropping it back to join the rest of the beach. It was certainly not like snow! It was hard and coarse, for one, like tiny pebbles. A fine layer of it coated her hand, and she brushed it off with the other insistently, not liking the feel of it in her skin. Nida knew instantly that such a material would be hell to get out of her fur.

When they stopped, the Kelvic looked about herself with interest. A good spot, to be sure. No one from the city would see what was going on. But did Luke really expect them to sacrifice the man right in front of him? She had thought that they would wait until later, when Luke had gone. But of course, it all depended on what Seliarus deemed best. It was his area of expertise.

Nidassasyae simply nodded at Luke. Let the human change, if that was what he wanted. If different clothing would make him feel better, then why not?

"We're not going to sacrifice the sailor in front of Luke, are we?" she whispered to Seliarus, drawing closer as the cold sea breeze whipped across her relatively under-clothed form.

As they were walking, the Dhani managed to find a quite pretty looking sea shell. While walking, he would bend over to pick it up. Now, he was a reasonable Dhani person. Even though it would look nice and all, he also realized it's edges are quite sharp. And with that realization, he simply smiled, as he looked at the KO-ed Sailor, who was being dragged by a man who had no idea what he was even doing. beautiful sight.

When they arrived on the spot, he would quickly come to understand that the spot is quite decent. Screams, blood, or anything that might come, wouldn't be noted by the City. He decided to sit down on one of the rocks. With his new found souvenir from the beach, he waved at Luke who was off to change into whatever he felt more comfortable. For him, as long as it keeps him warm, he could even wear a skirt. Like he really cared for the fashion those absurd humans gave anyways.

When the two were alone, he'd send a wicked grin towards Nida. A sly chuckle escaped his lips, as he shook his head.
"Do I really look that dessssperate? I don't even know him... Who knowsss what he would blabber out in a tavern after a few drinksss. More importantly... He doesssn't desserve to see it. He'sss not worthy." He'd whisper back, before he would return to his usual cold stare. Siku will only be praised by him and whom mattered most to him. No one else. But if Luke would happen to insist of being there, no one said that two is too much.

Pain and humiliation... What are friends for! [Open]

Postby Luke Lammergeier on January 19th, 2011, 5:25 am

After a minute or so of warming up Luke decided to head back to his companions. The plan was to leave as soon as possible and head back into town and get equipment. There was no way he would be caught lying around unprotected while they ate someone. Besides it was unlikely these people wanted him around while it happened. The best thing was to get situated and give them space.

He emerged around the corner to see the two waiting, three if you counted the meal. Luke walked past them and stood next to the stone closest towards the city. Nida was the easiest to speak too so he faced her, but still gave Sel his attention once in a while as he spoke.

“Thans for waiting but I still need to get supplies from town. I'm sure you and two would like some time alone with the scum bag.” He smiled at both of them when saying this. “When I get back you will get that story I promise.” Luke patiently waited for their response, hoping this wouldn't seem rude..

Nida nodded, understanding what Sel meant. These humans were overfond of drink, and what she had seen of alcohol showed that it certainly did loosen one's tongue. The part about Luke not being worthy though... that puzzled her. He probably knew no more than Nida did about Siku. Did that mean she wasn't worthy either? "Err... Sel?" she asked. "Are you sure if I'm worthy to be seeing this?"

"Supplies?" she asked Luke, not quite understanding. As a predator, Nida was most accustomed to waiting. But this, this was something quite different. This was not waiting for her prey, this was waiting for him to get some things that seemed, to her, totally unimportant. The story was simply something she asked for to seem interested, to be polite, since he had been obliged to feel as if he owed her something. Now Nida was just starting to get annoyed. Perhaps he thought that she wanted his story bad enough to follow him around town for it.

Her mood swung from cheerful to slightly pissed off. "Your story isn't worth that much to me, human. If you want to go back to your fellows, then do. But don't come back." Stepping forwards toward him, and tilting her neck up to glare up into his eyes. Small though she may be, the young woman tried her hardest to look imposing. Nida wasn't entirely sure if she succeeded.

Seeing as Luke returned, Sel went to his second stage of communicating with his bondmate. He would send a message directly trough the bond. Or, at least, he thought he was doing that. It wasn't exactly easy for him to focus on that. At least not yet. "I don't want to hear anything like this, Nida. Of course you are. You're worthy for everything I can possibly imagine. It's those humans who don't understand true beauty. Who don't understand blood. Who aren't worthy of being here when it starts." He finished, before looking up at Luke, without any word. Without any sound.

He simply looked at him, as he kind of insulted his bondmate. Yes, this was considered an insult. He could feel her anger rising. And he didn't do anything to stop it. She had the right to be angry, after all. Luke's statement was clearly hostile to the snake in human form. And the Kelvic thought the same, hence the assault. All what the Dhani did, was simply shook his head, slowly, while looking at Luke. He thought that he'd realize they aren't humans to listen to them as other humans do.
"Who knows? Life is like a roll on the dice. You can’t know if something is a good, or a bad roll until it already happened."
