Raeyn came home well into the morning break and in a state of quite the drunkenness. Just about managing to stay on his tiptoes, he crept in though the front door and very slowly, as to make not a shred of noise he shut it behind him, stepping into the darkness of the interior. A familiar flash of red caught the corner of his eye. Mara's make of hair flopped over her face in slumber. HIs own bed too was occupied by Sasha, snuggled up into the sheets. But it didn't bother him. Riding a wave of positivity Raeyn was far from ready to go to bed.
The world around him spun a little with the drunken haze that enveloped his mind. In his state, getting around the apartment was a silent display of acrobatics, stepping over things, getting around tables. He wasn't very proficient at it, accidentally managing to knock a thing or two over with a muffled thud as accompaniment, but sure as anything did he try. And eventually, making it far more difficult for himself than necessary, the Inarta managed to get himself over to the window where he dropped his bag and cape to the floor and pulled off his tunic. The early morning sun rays danced on the patchwork of golden freckles and ivory white that was his skin.
There he sat on the windowsill and watched the sun come up. And he couldn't help but be hopeful for the future to come. After the hell that was last season, everything seemed to be sliding into place.
