Wiki Classes
It's come to my attention that most of our players and storytellers are woefully uneducated when it comes to the wiki. I remember when Tarot first installed it and the rest of us Founders had a painful learning curve on how to use it. I took careful note of all his tricks for walking us through it (after all he couldn't put everything in himself and he needed us up to speed on all things wiki) and the tools and techniques he used.
I will be using these same methods.
So, I'm willing to hold a Wiki 101 class or series of classes. I'll do the first one Monday Night (since I'm off work!) starting at 5pm PST. You'll learn how to navigate the wiki, how to start a new wiki page, and depending on how quick you are learning we'll do for PCs a Personal PC Page (everyone has enough info for that) and if you pick things up quick, I'll have a stable of NPCs or Locations from your area that you will be able to add into the wiki so we can probably whip out an NPC page and perhaps a Location or Monster page too that you are interested in.
If you are a storyteller and coming to the class, please bring an NPC already written up (no formatting needed) and an image and a few locations or creatures unique to your city that you might want to add to the wiki. If you're a PC, please come prepared with your PC's image and a few links (which you can get from your CS hopefully).
This class is open to anyone, but storytellers are encouraged first and foremost. I will be holding other classes, but this one is probably going to be the only one that will happen on a weekday night. The rest will have to be on weekends.
Please let me know if you are interested. We'll enable wiki accounts for you if you do not already have one at this time as well.
First Class: Monday, Dec 26th, 5pm PST. Please sign up below or comment.
