Sorry to be judgmental here, but I want to take a moment and just give out this message to the forum.

Whew. Remember that the "e" on the end of the word "breath" not only changes the word from a noun into a verb, but also changes the word's pronunciation. I'm sorry if this sounds bitchy! Usually stuff like this, I really don't mind. No one has to be perfect in their spelling, and most of the time I happily overlook the occasional error! And honestly, every ONE time I read a phrase like, "remember to breath", it didn't bother me too much.

But now I'm seeing it in chat, I'm seeing it in forum posts both IC and OOC. And these are people I really respect and like a lot, not random newbies or people whose native language isn't English. I feel like someone has changed the rules of English on me. Sorry if you feel like this is attacking you if you've made the error. I really don't mind it once or twice. But I don't think I've seen someone write "remember to breathe" correctly for a good while now.

Every time I saw it, I read it as "breath" and not "breathe" in my head, so it always trips me up when I'm otherwise very engrossed in what I'm reading. That's why, after seeing it for like the 5th time, I had to whine a little bit!

I like Jason Mraz, though he's not my favorite artist. His lyrics aren't quite as inspired or artful as some of my more preferred artists, but his music is usually catchy. However inelegant I think he is, though, like many musicians he's still a man trying to make a point and express himself.

I know all the lyrics to many songs, but occasionally it happens that after you experience something, you suddenly understand what message the lyrics were actually trying to convey. The first verse of this song took on a new meaning to me today. It's not powerful or profound to me, and the song is really just a fun, lighthearted jaunt, but it helped put into words some stuff I was sorting through and I found some peace in me.

Honestly, Jason Mraz can get a bit pretentious. On the other hand I don't think he takes himself too seriously.

Hey guys. Just a heads up, I'll be taking a little break from Mizahar, including the chat. Some issues with my home life have been stressing me out and I need to focus on my real problems, instead of my awesome pretend ones. This includes Laszlo of course.

Wtf Laszlo?! Where have you been! You owe me posts! Yes, sorry about that. I took a hiatus for a couple of reasons, which sort of evolved and changed while I was gone. I'm just going to briefly go over this so I can avoid sounding dramatic! Originally I took a hiatus from Mizahar because my boyfriend was really tired of hearing from me, "I just want to finish this post", and I was really tired of being the kind of person who makes those kinds of promises and routinely breaks them. On top of that, the self-imposed guilt of not posting and letting other players down was a constant weight on my shoulders, and the reality was that I didn't have to feel this guilty on both fronts. So, I decided that I needed a short break from Miz to just kind of re-orient myself to the real world and not worry about the fictional one so much. While I was gone though, I found myself feeling so much freer than I had in a while. Now that I wasn't worrying about Miz, I wasn't worrying about much of anything at all. I won't go as far to say that my romantic relationship improved (but that's just because I'm flawed as a person), but I felt a lot happier without all this weight pressing down on me and the constant shroud of Mizahar in my thoughts. I LOVE Mizahar, but it was a relief to think about other things for a change. I chatted with a few of my friends while I was gone, and when the topic of Miz came up, I found that there were certain topics that I would just get inordinately passionate about. Certain dramas, rumors, etc, that really shouldn't matter at all, but they just got me really frustrated as I spoke about them. It was really troubling. When I first came to Miz, all I wanted to do was write and share stories with people. I wasn't interested in the social aspect as much. Making friends is great! But I was getting really caught up in what other people thought of me, what they thought of my friends, and some of the site politics made me quirk an eyebrow. Honestly, I shouldn't give a damn how people want to behave around each other. If I hear some terrible rumors, or someone is really bad about something completely moot, honestly I should just want to laugh and move on with my life. What does any of that stuff matter? So I took a break from Miz until I didn't care about it anymore. There are some amazing people on this site, who I truly deeply admire. Katie, for example, even does this sort of thing professionally! I'm sharing a written story with a real editor! That is absolutely amazing! The other stuff that goes on in the website, who likes who, who hates what, who thinks this, it's all so ridiculously insignificant in the grander scheme of things that it's profane that I'm even writing about it. I just want to write. I don't want to feel guilty, or get involved in petty disagreements, or give a flying f*** if someone thinks some silly thing about me. I almost left Mizahar, because I didn't want to worry about this crap, but the stories are just too good to abandon, and my friends wouldn't let me leave anyway. Unfortunately, I'm not a mature enough person to keep myself emotionally separated from the social goings-on of the website. I had a rude awakening when I found myself partaking in the passive aggressive sniping that sometimes goes on, and that just isn't the type of person I want to be. People are free to do whatever they want, but I know what standards I hold myself to, and I want to keep them. Because I lack restraint, I am forcibly separating myself from the elements of the site that get me charged up and opinionated. The only alternative is leaving the site, but someone told me she'd cry if I did, and we can't have that. The ST account Lazybones has been retired so I don't have to worry about the obligation of contributing to Ravok (which I know I signed up for. I guess I just didn't understand what I was signing up for when I did. xD). I'm also swearing off all scrapbooks, with the exception of Legion/Caelum's, Tabarnac's, Colombina's, and Duvalyon's (sorry Victor and Seven, you know I love you both). These are people I unhesitatingly consider as my betters (beyond my peers), and I wholly value what they think. They have somehow managed to be at this site for an amazing length of time without getting swept up in some of the drama that occurs here, and their scrapbooks are always full of lighthearted stuff and, in Katie's case, really interesting articles about stuff. I also won't be posting my scrapbook with any more opinionated rants or whatever it is I put here. I may post here occasionally with updates and funny pictures (but not funny pictures that passive aggressively pertain to anything relevant). But again, I just want to focus on writing. The fun social stuff on the side is just extra, and I don't want it to ever become a significant part of Mizahar for me. So that's all! Here's a picture to get the trend started.
