A gentle reminder: we're half way through the final month of the season, before the Watchtowers flare red and Spring turns to Summer. I would advise against starting lots of new threads over the next two weeks, as any you have outstanding when the season change occurs will need to be grandfathered, and no new players will be able to join them. You'll want to do some Spring thread cleaning (get it!) before starting on your Summer threads. Other bits of housekeeping re: season change... workers and students take heed! If you have been officially assigned a job (e.g you have a Storyteller Secrets thread -- if for some reason you think you should, but we forgot to give you one, let me know) you should know that you need 2 reasonably substantial job-related threads to qualify for wages and xp at the end of the season. Students need 2 class based threads, or 1 thread for each subject (whichever equals more) to qualify for seasonal xp. Remember, wage and xp requests are placed in the usual thread you request your grading in. As for Summer itself, it's going to be a very exciting season! The final act of Darkling Tides will uncover a secret that will change Zeltiva forever. Overall, we're going for a more positive, celebratory vibe, so expect some festivals too. Thanks, Paragon

A quick question, is the closure to new players the sole restriction placed on overlapping threads?

@Montaine: A bit of both As for the overlapping, that's the only real restriction, yes, but it's preferred that players finish up previous season threads ASAP when we get to season change.

We can finish up Spring threads that were already in process though, right? I'm not sure what "grandfathered" means in this context. Some of my threads move quickly and will surely be done before Summer starts, but a couple might still be going. Is it okay if a thread is still being wrapped up (as in, not starting new or adding new players, but has just been going for awhile and is working towards a conclusion)?

And I think I've done like *thinks* three job related threads (One solo, one with Monty, one with Nai'shee). Plus a scattering of others that semi-related, but that was more with the job being in the background or summation of a thread.

I'm finishing up my 2nd out of 3 class threads today. Plus there's a thing on the University page that says you need "other student life" threads. I've got that covered with homework, studying, and other activities on campus.

And as for celebrations... I plan to celebrate soon by evolving from "Repairing things" threads to "building new things" threads. Since we're wanting to make Zeltiva bigger and better than before, that's what I'm gonna do! (Note to self: find a rich person to help me pay for it all.... *goes to check PC ledgers to see who I can borrow money from*)

Grandfathered simply means your thread is no longer in Fluid Time -- it's in the Past. Therefore, no other players can suddenly join it, and you need to wrap up the plot within the thread as speedily as possible (though there's no strict rule on it).

Yes, a good point Minerva, and it applies to jobs too -- you get a bonus XP point in Seasonal XP by showing good effort towards job and job related threads, or as a student, by showing student life outside of threads.

Just a heads up guys, my Summer semester at school starts this Monday. It won't have much of an impact, but there might be a slight slow down in my posting speed...
