Hey guys! So I'm completely new, you can call me Luke, 19, living in the midwest US of A. I've been reading through the wiki pretty much all day. I'm amazed by how detailed and expansive it is o.O

I found you guys through a simple google search for RP community forums. Looked at a couple, this was totally not what I was looking for though. I was looking more for one where there are a bunch of completely different RPs set up by various forum members, but when I stumbled across this I was like "hmm.... nvm, scratch old plan. This is cooler". I run a forum for an alliance in an online game and someone tried to start a small-scale on there. Unfortunately, he and I were the only ones with any interest, and he had sparked that interest in me, so I decided to find a place to express it. Here!

I've had some experience with RP, like I know most/all terms and such, but I've never really done one with this much backstory/many players, so I'm nervous and excited. Basically, never one of this scale.

Ahhh what do I want from this? A place to write. To explore a new world. To test out character ideas for another story I'm writing. Fun times. New people to meet. Whatever I can get, I don't have any strong expectations right now I'm just letting it take me where it takes me, and hoping/expecting it to be a good experience. I'd honestly be interested in creating a world of my own similar in scope to this, where other people find it and join in and everything, so I'm also taking a careful look as I go at precisely how this one was created to get a sense of what that would require for me.

I haven't made a character yet, but I've given a bit of thought to him throughout the day today. I'm planning to make a newborn Nuit, and I know that this is the place for our RL introductions so I'll leave it at that. What a splendid introduction. You know I started out here without even having RPed ever. This was my first site. So, I can tell you that you do not need to know a lot about a lot to start out here. You only have to have the patience to read everything (more than once in many cases. I still reread tons of articles.), and reread things that you dont understand, and (if you still dont get it) have the ability to formulate good questions. So really all you need is to know how to read and the ability to think. Which I know you already have

I hope you have a great time in Mizahar. I know just starting out the mass amount of information is sort of overwhelming, but give it time and dont rush things and it will sink in (eventually). I promise.
