Hi, all! So I know that you can retire characters, but I was wondering if it's possible to revive characters from retirement. I think I remember the zith Massacre with a gray username once or twice, so was he un-retired?

Yes, you can un-retire characters. I think its Gossamer that likened retirement as a way of putting the PC on a shelf for a while and exploring new concepts. You can always pick the PC back up when you are ready. To un-retire a character you need to go to the HD just like you do when retiring a character.

In that case, how do season expenses work? Do you still have to pay them for the times the character what "on-shelf," or were they for all intents and purposes nonexistent during that time?

They are nonexistent while retired.

You don't have to pay expenses in any season in which you did not post, as far as I know, retired or not.
