It was quite sweet. The cake and the gesture both but there was obviously a clear winner between the two. Curiously taking a portion of the cake and bringing up to his mouth the slight crunch of the nuts was a welcome change of texture from a desert. Then the squire felt something more as Shiress's lips met with his own.
A low cry of surprise escaped Bolivar's lips as he looked back on Shiress. Why was she thanking him? Was he really that far ahead from those that roamed Syliras? Apparently so. Shiress certainly thought so and the squire would be a damned fool to say otherwise.
"I don't..."Finding himself embraced lightly Bolivar was much too frazzled to do much of anything except what came to mind. Bringing his arms up he returned hug with an overcome with a sense of bliss. Bolivar rested his head upon hers for a time before feeling slightly out of place from the sudden affection. Breaking off the tender hug Bolivar withdrew slightly keeping hold of her hands.
"I meant. Your... your quite welcome."Interlocking one of Shiress's hands with his own Bolivar gave a measured look at the sight before looking back at the waitress. Granted Bolivar wanted to know everything there was to know about his transitioning infatuation but now would not be the time. When she was ready she would tell him and he would be there to listen. Which left talking about himself? That was never his strong suit.
"Such sweet tender treats indeed you have given me. I'm not sure if I earned such gifts."The slight banter was accompanied by a deadpan face as Bolivar merely enjoyed having Shiress's hand upon his own.
"Rather I should worry about other things and possible issues that may arise. Yet... I find myself drawn to these certain string of events before me and the like."Bolivar's mind went to the outside of the Tavern where both squires had made a mess of the streets. Half-concerned about his vows to maintain a sense of decorum and the other half worried of possibly stifling his chances of persuading Shiress to consider him more then a favored patron.
The squires eyes lingered on the door for a tic before scanning the room for any off looks given to him. However it seemed that only Shiress was the one he truly noticed. Before him was something that seemed more important then the mess he made.
"Ahh... I certainly don't hope that was the first and last time we do that."
Leaning forward slightly Bolivar closed his eyes to return Shiress's feelings twofold. It certainly felt amazing to have one reciprocate own emotions back why ever stop? Of course though there would come a time to talk about possible issues that may arise.
"It seems like I am correct. The second time is always better." A knowing look followed by a slight grin Bolivar shrugged knowing he would have to explain later.
"Care for a walk outside the tavern? I feel we still have much to discuss."
