I don't trust it! How do you build a series that takes place over decades? They'll need two or three good actors of different age groups to play Kvothe alone and they need to ALL be great. How can you even do that? It's hell to find good child actor's in any case, but can they find one good enough to play Kvothe in the first half of the season, just to drop them and never touch them again? I dunno if I can trust Fox with one of my favorites.

I'd bet they'll opt for two actors rather than three or four. Manipulate their age appearance as necessary. Also, I'll be stunned if they actually start the series with Kvothe as a child. It would make a great deal more sense from a television script perspective to do both his childhood with his family and his time in Tarbean largely as flashbacks.

Frankly, I want to find out who the writer is going to be. Eric Heisserer is the producer and seeing as how it was just optioned there’s no way they even have a script bible put together yet, let alone greenlit. The head writer is going to make all the difference.
