"Without my friends I wouldn't be prepared to face whatever the day had to throw at me, it's 'cause of them that I found myself ready for what was to come... I just wish I didn't have to get them involved the way I did..."

Location: Ricky's place, Old Quarter

It was hot. Not hot but really hot, the humidity that hung over Zeltiva just didn't seem to let any cloud provide any shade. The sky was in fact clear with endless blue as the sun shone, near its highest point of the day before it'd begin to fall. Ricky would be preparing for his daily post as a Wave Guard today, except he wanted to check in with Odis and tell him about the things that had been going on. First he found a kitten he had to bring home after losing one of the escaped prisoners in a chase, then he had confronted one of the devils of his life, followed by a surprise party for his birthday in which his own father happened to show up for, so many things had happened in such short amount of time... and so many more was to come in the near future. Ricky simply decided to wear his cotton vest and pants to try and keep cool, a shirt would only make in sweat so much in this unusual humidity; he still tied the longsword to his leather belt for good measure. He gave Telion an armorous hug with wishes for a good day, and went on out the entryway of the building to head over to the Memorial grounds to visit his old friend.

---Location: Maria Satterthwite Memorial Cemetary (Castor)---

Ricky walked along the trail to find the somberly peaceful grounds of the Memorial before him, the graves lined in their order as the large stone structure shone as the beacon it was. The Memorial grounds served as a beacon for the loved lost ones, a place for them to forever rest their head so the world would no longer trouble them. For Ricky there was only one grave he had to visit thankfully, but one grave was still enough to help him understand. Death has a way of connecting people, in the times when things seem most dark, hope lights the way as though it were a beacon itself. For Ricky that hope was his friends, and of course his soon to be family he had. When he arrived to the cutlass that remained pierced in the ground Ricky came to a stop as he knelt down to feel the soft earth below him. The Zeltivan rope he had used for the collar still remained on the hilt and handguard of the cutlass from when he first wrapped it, the blade however had become rusted from the weather that covered the environment. The cutlass served as a reminder really, nothing more as the owner had no use for such a blade. Ricky's memory of the cutlass wasn't all that good anyway, it being the weapon he had to use the night Odis was killed cold blood. Ricky would only take a seat next to the spot Odis rested on, and bow his head as he would pray to his long lost brother.

---Location: West Street (Tallis)---

Burt had left the Grotto and went on his way to visit his son, he decided that the two of them still had a bit of catching up to do, and the best way for them to do so was with an old family lifestyle. Fishing. The old sea dog had left his personal belongings back at the Grotto, all he had was the white worn cotton shirt with sleeves ripped off and the brown rugged cotton pants he traveled in. The man certainly looked like Ricky at first glance, but to the observant eye they knew Burt by the scar over his right eye. Along with a more aged face and few spots of grey in his hair, the scar was an instant give away that Burt was in fact not Ricky. That's how gentics worked though, when you have a child you can expect them to look a lot like their parent. Burt still couldn't believe the amount of change that he missed, already his son had grown to become one respectable man of the city. He had a family on the way, a honorable job to live with, and great friends to help keep him going in life. All in all Burt couldn't have been any more proud of how much Ricky had grown.

As he shuffled along the semicrowded streets of Zeltiva Burt noticed one friend of Ricky's who he owed quite a debt to, a debt that gratitude couldn't simply be enough for the aid in reuniting father and son. "Young Tallis! How are ya today m'boy?" He greeted as he approached the Stormwarden, a humble grin on his face as he did so.

---Location: Ricky's Place, Old Quarter (Gale)---

When all would seem quite and peaceful within the solitude of the spare room, Gale would be enjoying his hot day doing the activity he thought best to do. Little did he, or anybody esle in the building, suspect that someone would come to pay Telion a visit. Knocks that were rather loud and obnoxious could be heard next door to the room, and Gale would find that after a moment of silence a scream would fill the hallway, and alert anyone else in the building that trouble just said hello...

When Gale would go to the door to open and see what the terrified scream was from, he would find that a man had a fire red haired woman on his back with arms wrapped around his head and neck. Both wrestled around as this did his best to pull her off, curses and swears thrown at her as both he and Hannah had flushed faces. "Telly! Lock the damn door and don't open it until I say so!" She demanded between grunts, the man winded backwards so he could ram Hannah against the wall. Though Gale couldn't see her, Telion obeyed without question as terror sunk in. A slam to the door followed by a click sound proved that Telion was safe, only for now anyway. Upon the floor Gale would see a cutlass that laid near his door, the tool for the intended murder of Ricky's beloved. Hannah was now against the wall in a daze as the man brought a fist from his left to her face, a small cry came from Hannah as she retaliated with a lunge to the man, she leeched onto him once more with her teeth now sinking into his right shoulder hard, and the man hollared in harsh pain as he struggled to push Hannah off of him. What will Gale do in this situation?

Revenge Of The Three

Postby Castor Riley on June 27th, 2013, 3:38 pm

The 26th in Zeltiva was a hot day. The weather had been getting steadily warmer as summer had progressed, but at least there had been some cool ocean winds to take much of the edge off. However, this was no longer the case. The worst of it wasn't even the heat; the oppressive humidity was what really made the weather unbearable. Castor was sweating through his shirt, even though it was unbuttoned at the top, as he climbed the hill towards the Maria Satterthwite Memorial Cemetery. The weight of his backpack dragged on him, but he would be needing it for studying at the library, as he planned to when his business at the Cemetery was done. He needed to get on with the books Professor Marin had set for self-study, if he wanted to be ready for her class, less than a week from that day.

After a season living in Zeltiva, he had finally heard about a tradition that had been established in Zeltiva, after the Djed storm, of placing Koi into the Cemetery's lake, as a tribute for those lost, and Castor had decided to do so for his father. Perhaps it would somehow help him to get past the memories that always threatened to invade his mind. Thoughts of that day in winter when he'd found his father, dead, in the small appartment they shared in Syliras. He truly hoped so.

Passing through the gates of the quiet cemetery, Castor noticed a familiar frame, sitting quietly in front of one of the graves. From his position, Castor noticed a sword sticking out from the ground. He was unsure about whether he should approach the man when he was thus preoccupied. Still, it did not feel right to just ignore his friend and carry on, so he decided to approach the man from behind, though maintaining a respectful distance and to wait until he was noticed. He didn't notice as some dry leaves were crushed under his feet as he moved.

Revenge Of The Three

Hot days were Gale's worst enemy. Not only did he prefer the cold over heat, sweaty palms for an artist was just as useful as a dull knife for a chef. Although Gale attempted to get some drawing done so he could prepare to sell them for tomorrow, it was almost useless with the charcoal slipping in his hands like a bar of soap and leaving him a mess with the black getting all over him.

In attempts to dry his hands some, he rubbed them against his thigh, using his pants as a dry cloth. It worked, but the black smeared over his brown pants. A groan of irritation passed through his lips and Gale closed the book. He'll have to finish the drawing later when the charcoal was more useable.

The widower jolted as a horrendous scream gnawed at his ears. One of the many sounds he wished he would never hear in his lifetime. The drawing would definitely have to wait.

Rushing to the door and swinging it open without a second thought, Gale stood there as he watched with terror. Eyes like cup saucers they watched as Hannah took a hit, the stranger was bitten. What has this city become? Everywhere there seems to be a fight! Now there was one inside the very place he currently called home? What madness! He had to do something. He had to stop being the hesitant idiot he normally was or someone was going to get hurt. Or worse...

Looking around, the first thing the artist saw was the sword. Yes, the sword! Wait- Gale never picked up a sword in his life. It would surely end up in the attacker's hands. Then where would they be?

The man pushed Hannah away. If anytime was the time to step in, it was now. Unsure of Hannah's sword skills, the man assumed for the better that she would be better off with the cutlass than he was. He hoped he was right. This would be a horrible time to be wrong....Shoving the cutlass towards Hannah's general direction (Being hideously aimed) the murderer ran towards their attacker. The plan was to ram him and get him on the ground. But as the artist charged, a question arose. Did the man have a second weapon? It was too late, anyway. Fate was what it was, and if bad luck decide to take a roll then so be it. At least it would give Hannah time, if nothing else. Tilting his shoulder forward, he braced for impact. Hopefully the man hadn't noticed Gale was there and he would take him by surprise.

Revenge Of The Three

Postby Tallis on July 10th, 2013, 4:27 am

The air in the library had gotten stuffy and muggy and Tallis couldn’t bear staying inside any longer. Picking up his notes and shoving them in his backpack, he headed back home. He planned to change into something more comfortable, then he would make his way towards Michael’s Bay. The inlet was where the strongest breezes gathered and he hoped to find comfort there. For now, he’d simply have to do with making his own breeze.

As he stepped out of the library, he struggled with the urge to shrink back into the building. He had been shielded from Syna’s piercing gaze while indoors, but now, under the full glare of the sun, he instantly broke out into a sweat. Wording a prayer of thanks to Zulrav, Tallis called on his Stormwarden powers and set a light breeze swirling around himself. Sadly, the breeze itself was all warm air, but it was better than nothing. His shirt and hair billowed in his own winds, releasing much of the pent-up heat of his body and cooling his brow.

Suddenly, a voice called out to him. As Tallis turned to face the speaker, his first thought was that it was Ricky, but on closer inspection it was none other than Burten Maze. The father and son duo really did share a striking resemblance. Tallis was surprised to see the older man out and about in the humid weather, but then again, this was the man who’d travelled through Mizahar’s cities for eight years.

Waving amicably, Tallis replied to the greeting. “To be honest, Mister Maze, I feel like I’m melting. What are you doing out here in this sweltering heat?” Making his way over to the older man, Tallis extended the wall of air around him so that the older man would also receive the benefits of the breeze. “If you don’t mind the company, I’d gladly walk with you. I don’t have any plans for the day.”

Ricky had been lost in his prayer to Odis when Castor had arrived, the story on how things have been changing so much echoed in his head like words that were once written but no longer found on any parchment. He hadn't notice Castor's arrival off hand of course, but the sound of crunching leaves beneath ones shoes did suggest that one wad not alone, and so Ricky opened his eyed and turned to see just who had shown up. Castor stopped by for only about a chime without a word, but when Ricky turned to see him all he could see was the man's back as he went onward to the mausoleum. He gave a slight chuckle as he watched the man for a chime, then went back into communing with his fallen friend. That is until another set of footsteps shuffled through the leaves, two of them actually that took their time to noisily walk through the graveyard. It wasn't until Ricky finally found his nerves to be driven on edge and then turning to the direction of the noise that he would see his day would take a turn for the worse.

Note for the StorytellerCastor hasn't shown any activity thus will be assumed gone, and the content of this section has been edited so we may continue the thread.

---Location: West Street~Old Quarter---

"I'm off to see my son, I've got quite a bit to catch up on actually." Burt explained with a hearty chuckle as the warmth of the breeze that enveloped Tallis soon did the same for him, an appreciative nod to the Stormwarden followed as the sweat that poured from his brow seemed to dry a bit. "Thanks be t' ya for that young scholar. I'd actually like the company on the way over there, as I'm sure both Ricky and Telion would be please to see ya as well." He enthused to Tallis as he began to walk once more, the two had a bit of a leisurely stroll in the heat but they had all day to get to Ricky's room. The building after all wasn't that far off to begin with, when they would enter the Old Quarter of course.

"So tell me young scholar, what're yer plans now that ye've brought a father and son together again." Burt mused with a chuckle as they walked onward, a conversation in mind to pass the amount of time the trip would require to arrive at the building complex. As the two would converse and come to finally enter the building where Ricky's room resided, the would find the place at first to be quiet on the first floor. The huge empty hall nearly soundless except for the faint echo of activity coming from the stair case, Burt would look to Tallis with wonder at what kind of noise came down the stone carved spiral staircase that led to the second story of the building. "Whatta ya suppose is goin' on?" He inquired upon looking at Tallis once more, a bit of worry filled the old fathers blue eyes. There had been a sense in the air that danger was present, and that danger threatened anybody that seemed to travel up the stair case.

---Location: Ricky's Place, Old Quarter---

As the sounds of the cutlass slid against the floor Gale had charged in to ram the backside of the pirate, but the loud sounds of metal against stone floor filled the room enough to alert the wrestling two that another joined in the fray. Hannah had released the pirate from her grasp when she had seen Gale charging toward them, and pushed him back just a moment for the fair chance at twisting away from the two when Gale would tackle him. The idea worked only in that moment when she managed to stagger back a couple of feet, and right after she witnessed Gale ram himself into the back of the pirate. Both went into the wall and recoiled from the collision that the momentum, and ended up on the floor with loud groans of pain. Hannah remembered the momemt Gale had slid the cutlass over to her direction, which in fact had been a good idea when he did this. Only problem was... it slid in the direction on the other side of the two men. "Damn." She cursed under her breath as she knelt down to reach in her boot, after she dug in to grasp at what she wanted she pulled out the spare dagger she kept tucked away within the boot. The pirate who swore and cursed up and down had rolled over to his stomach to push himself up, still stunned from the impact of Gales tackle just a moment ago.

Hannah made a quick approach with the dagger in hand ready to be plunged in his back, however the pirate had just enough wit to save himself from her incoming assault. When Hannah came close enough the pirate reached out from his left to grab Hannah's right ankle, and pulled it out from under her to send her on her back. With a surprised yelp she hit the stone floor with a gasp as the wind became knocked out of her, and the pirate went to reach for his cutlass which rested to his right immediately after she hit the ground. Gale would find that the pirate still knelt on his left knee while the cutlass came to be in his hand, and soon Hannah's heel shot out to his groin to cause a roar of pain. He had dropped the cutlass as quickly as he had picked it up, with hands now cupped over his crotch as Hannah turned over to try and regain her breath. Hannah glanced over to Gale as he had only just one moment to put this pirate down, and she made sure to provide this opportunity and slid her dagger over for him to use. The pirate was open for a stab to the chest after all, and it fell upon Gale to commit the act.

OOCSorry this is out of order, but seeing as I am going to be gone for a bit, I thought it would be best if I did my turn real quick. Hope it isn't too much of an inconvenience.

Gale made it official. Fighting was painful. Very painful. With the fights he has been in before he would expect to have been more prepare for the impacts, but in reality, he wasn't prepared at all. Hitting the pirate felt like he went straight into a wall. Though the wall did play a part as it knocked them both down, making Gale at the least, rolling in pain. The blonde placed his opposing hand on his shoulder as it throbbed aggressively. Much to his dismay, it took him longer to sit up than he had hoped, but Hannah thankfully was able to keep the stranger down.

Watching the two fight like it was an act, the artist blinked blankly. He comprehended what was going on but not how he felt about it, which was probably for the best. Hannah was knocked down, the pirate was kicked in the crotch. The Zeltivan's face scrunched up from the sight, just thankful it wasn't him in his shoes. The stranger wailed in agony which irritated Gale's ears from the pain in his voice. It aroused anger. Unsure of why, the man scowled and reached for the dagger that Hannah pushed over to him. Gripping it tightly, the murderer plunged the blade into his skull above the eye with a crack. Pulling it out again, the dagger made it's way into his head once again, this time sliding next to the bridge of his nose. Once more, a direct hit to the eye.

A cruel smile came about the pessimist as the blood flowed freely from the man's fresh wounds. The pathetic moaning had stopped, whether it turned into howls of agony or not. The feeling was phenomenal. It was a sense of achievement. Success. Revenge. A certain feeling that Gale had only been able to find a few other times before. He was never proud of it afterwards, but it was a guilty pleasure.

Pushing himself to stand with no help from his aching shoulder, the widower looked towards the woman near them, his previous face melting away slowly. "Are you alright?" He questioned as he walked over and held out a hand. The hand from his good arm, of course.

Revenge Of The Three

Postby Tallis on August 5th, 2013, 9:47 pm

apologies!I’m so sorry I haven’t replied yet! I forgot to subscribe to the thread and it only recently dawned on me that I had to reply. You’ll be glad to know that (after two months of frustration) I’ve finally sorted out my school stuff. Life is good again!

Tallis took a moment to ponder over his response to Burton’s question. He wondered why he felt so responsible for the two. It wasn’t long ago, that they were all complete strangers to him. But now he truly felt that these two were important people to him. He had unintentionally entered their lives, only to find that they were now an integral part of his life.

“Well… to be truthful. Uniting the two of you means I’ve only accomplished half of my goal. I still need to know that you two will be happy now. I’m going to see everything through to the very end.” Pausing as they turned a corner, Tallis explained his position, “I’ll be here as a mediator. In case you two need someone to talk to. Although it’s been fine so far, I can’t help but think that there will be moments of frustration and misunderstanding between you two. If trouble ever arises, I’ll be there to help.”

The conversation continued until they reached Ricky’s home. The door was ajar and the two men took the liberty to enter. They were instantly greeted with an unsettling feeling. Tallis didn’t need the breezes to tell him that something was wrong – the feeling was practically tangible. As worry clouded over both of them, Tallis sprang into action.

“Stay behind me,” Tallis warned, “I'm going to check out what's happening.” Preparing for the worst, he pulled on his djed reserves, allowing the magical energy to gather in his hands so that it could be used at a moment’s notice. As the two rounded up the stairs, Tallis felt his heart drop for a moment as a short, yet bloodcurdling scream rang through the building. The adrenaline kicked in and he bounded up the last few steps.

Rushing into the doorway, Tallis saw Gale helping Hannah to her feet. The artist was almost unrecognizable with his face and blonde hair matted in blood. However, the man collapsed inside the room was clearly worse for wear. The attacker’s face was almost unrecognizable and blood still sputtered out of the fresh wounds. Tallis felt his stomach lurch, but he forced himself to calm down and assess the situation.

“Are you two alright? Where’s Telion? And Ricky?” The questions poured forth as Tallis tried to assess the conditions of the people around him. The fact that Ricky and Telion weren’t present in their own home proved a bit worrisome for him.

“What happened here?” More questions, and Tallis was in desperate need of answers. He didn’t want to worry anyone, but a gut feeling told him this wasn’t a simple robbery gone wrong. Two details stood out to him. The first being the fact that the intruder had stayed and fought. If Tallis was a robber, he would have chosen one of the many empty houses to loot and he would have run away if he saw people in the house. The other detail that bothered him was the cutlass that lay beside the dead man. A thief wouldn’t carry around a weapon so large and unwieldy for a simple theft.

Or maybe… maybe it wasn’t a simple theft.

The thought sent chills down Tallis’ spine. Was it possible that someone had purposely targeted the Wave Guard? Maybe it was a mage’s paranoia, but he couldn’t rule it out as a possibility. He needed to find Ricky, and he needed to find him fast. If his hunch was correct, his friend could be in grave danger.

Revenge Of The Three

---Location: Maria Satterthwite Memorial Cemetary---

Ricky quickly rose to his feet with his right hand at the hilt of his blade, two men with cutlasses snickered as they slowly approached him. Finally they were just some odd feet away from him with an open distance, and sure enough Ricky could feel his heart already drop as his pulse quickened. "Y' be that guard wit' the dead mutt, am I right?" The one to the right remarked and spat on the ground, a sneer casted toward him as they both let a low laugh escape their cold stares. Ricky could only gulp and backed a few feet until a heel tapped against the rustic cutlass that marked his companion's grave. "I take that as a yes then."

"Petch! They're here t' get even then." Yes Ricky knew who these men were, although the memory of their appearance was vague. The one that spoke was the pirate from the night he and Sebastian stormed their smuggling den, and had been lucky enough to be arrested unlike the one who killed his dog. The other obviously was an accomplice he had, whether he was part of their scheme that night or not Ricky hadn't a clue. The guard unsheathed his sword and pointed it toward the two, they only laughed in amusement of course. "Back off 'r ye'll live t' regret it."

"Tough talk fo' some un' whose 'bout t' get skewered 'ere in the boneyard." The leader mused as the other chuckled, both inched closer with cutlasses ready. Ricky gripped his blade tight with two hands, and braced himself for what may yet be his final bell. "Laviku's waters embrace me, and Zulrav's winds guide me, though I face the incomin' darkness with uncertainty, I look f'r the way through all this with hope t' see the light o' day." Hope seemed to be useless in this situation, but in this tense moment his mind went to his fiancè and unborn child. He wanted to make sure they would at least be safe, that they wouldn't be hurt by these men should he fall. Ricky remembered the words Wrenmae told him after all, and he'd rather take these bastards down with them then allow them to hurt anyone else; especially the only family he had left. With a deep breath to attempt to calm his mind, Ricky looked fiercely determined to put up a fight, and he made his first swing at the leader of the two pirates.

---Location: Ricky's Place, The Old Quarter---

Success. Gale had taken the dagger and with it relentlessly plunged it into the pirates face, n turn ending his life as the body finally fell to the floor with blood to flow upon the stone. Hannah had a gash on her forehead that bled a little and a bruise on the right side of her face, plus her arms and back had bruises all over from the wrestle that came between her and the man that tried to kill one of her favorite people. Well two now; Gale had performed most admirably after all, and his ability to be a gentleman after the scrap had earned quite a bit of respect from her. "I'll be fine." She grunted with a pull on his hand to help her up, her breathing was heavy and she clearly looked to be in discomfort, but she couldn't stop now. Not when the threat still lingered elsewhere. "Telion it's safe- wait!" She turned to the door where the two men had entered, sure enough her guard was a little eased when she saw it was Tallis and Burt. The two had quite a bit of questions however, and it was clear panic was on the rise. "Oh we're splendid actually." She retorted with a turn to the door, a hand on the knob as she spoke through the corner. "Telly, it's safe now. There's no one else here to hurt you." As she withdrew from the door a click followed and sure enough Telion hesitantly came out, she hugged Hannah and Gale in relief as the two would groan from the sores they received during the contanct.

"Thank Priskil you two were here, he would've ran me through if you didn't make it on time Hannah." She shook nervously with a pale face, her expression still full of worry as she looked down at the body.

"Telion, where's Ricky gone to?" Burt asked as no sign of his son was present, he slowly began to fear that things were about to get worse. "And why did this man attack ya?"

"He's one of the three men Ricky had me keep an eye out for, they escaped from the Wave Guard dungeons a while back. I just caught wind that they were to make their move, as they planned to kill Ricky's family." Hannah explained with a earnest look to Tel. "Where did Ricky go? He's in the most immediate danger." She urged for Telion to answer, her worry worsened as she heard this.

"He went to the Memorial Grounds to visit Odis." She choked back the sobs as the tension began to rise, both Hannah and Burt gasped as they all had only a limited amount of time to act.

"Tallis, Hannah, ye two get t' the memorial, I'll get to the Infirmary and ask f'r a healer." Burt issued with a hasty look on his face, a finger pointed to Gale before they would set off. "You sir, yer t' watch over Tel with yer life. Understand? Make sure she's well protected." He issued with a nod to Gale, a look to the other two before he urged them onward. Time was of the essence after all, and they had to act quickly.

Revenge Of The Three

Postby Tallis on August 24th, 2013, 1:04 am

Tallis nodded grimly as Burten outlined his plan. He really didn’t want to split up, but he knew that it was for the best. Reaching for the abandoned cutlass lying beside the dead intruder, Tallis handed the blade to Hannah and motioned for her to follow him. He had a better weapon at his disposal – his magic. And, if he had to, he would wield it with deadly force to protect his friends.

As he stood in the doorway ready to chase after Ricky, he quickly turned around and looked at all of the people in the room. “Stay safe, all of you.” The short message was as much a warning as it was a prayer. Tallis trusted Gale to keep Telion safe. The two would have enough time to barricade the door. However, Burten was going to be travelling alone and… Tallis banished the thoughts from his mind. The old sailor had weathered more troubles than he could possibly imagine. He could take care of himself. Tallis had to believe that.

Bounding down the stairs and running out the door, Tallis and Hannah kept pace as they sprinted towards the graveyard. Other than the panting of their breaths and the rhythmic slapping of their footfalls, they travelled in silence. There were no words to be said. Fears were not voiced, they were put aside. Imagining the many possible fates that could have befallen Ricky would only cloud their judgment and hinder their actions. They had to clear their minds and concentrate on doing whatever they had to do.

They rounded a street corner and entered the graveyard, racing past rows of gravestones and markers. Tallis let the djed course through his body. This time there was an urgency when he tapped into his magical reserves. It felt like a sort of invisible heat that started from the center of his body and emanated outwards and downwards into his palms. The scars from his Initiation tingled as magical energy slipped through his palms, turning into res and settling around his clenched fists.

The sound of metal clashing against metal tore through the silence in the graveyard. Like two hunting dogs being summoned by a whistle, Tallis and Hannah began running even faster, speeding towards the harrowing sound like it was a beacon. There was no question about where Ricky was now - Tallis and Hannah could only hope they had arrived in time.

Revenge Of The Three

It was comforting to hear the words 'Be', 'fine', and 'I'll, in the same sentence. Especially after such an attack. The man let out a grunt of his own, helping the red head up, before running his hand through his hair. His shoulder hurt from ramming into the pirate, but it wouldn't be more than sore tomorrow. As Hannah went to get Telion, Gale rolled his shoulder. That was until two men ran into the room. There was Tallis and he was followed by Burt. And no pirates. A sigh of relief passed through the pessimist's lips and the frail hands fell on his hips.

Telion was like a timid mouse coming out of the room. But after agreeing that it was safe once again, she came over and hugged himself and Hannah. The blonde winced but returned the hug, despite having the blood on his hands, and her previous comment. Oh Hannah, you were so brave! You saved my life! That blasted pirate would have killed me of you were here! Pfft. And what would have happened to Hannah if he wasn't there? He had her all over the place. She wouldn't be in very good shape right now more than likely. Maybe even ran through herself. Then where would Telion be? Gale rolled his eyes. But he suppose she was referring to the both of them. She did say 'you two' and also hugged him. Besides, right now wasn't the time to be jealous. Now was the time to keep a look out and make sure everyone was safe.

The group talked and exchanged questions and answers. He was all but left out of the conversation. They talked mainly about Ricky, dungeons and killing Ricky's family. For some reason they could just say that there were guys going to kill him and they needed to go. They had to make an elaborate analysis of past events and make sure everyone knows everything before they go. If they had just left and decided to explain later, they would probably would have found the Waveguard already. But no, they were here. Talking. Discussing. The Zeltivan's face started twist in anger, wanting to just shove them out the door.

Thankfully, before he did so, they decided to head out. Hannah would go with Tallis and Burt to go get Ricky. He would stay here and watch Telion. It was sad that Burt didn't remember his name, because saying 'sir' made his demand to keep Telion safe and sound more like a threat. That didn't matter now, just like over half of the stuff the stuff they had just talked about. Gale would make sure to defend Telion. And if attacking that pirate wasn't with his own life, then he didn't know what was. Burt only got a firm nod as a response, but the murderer instantly moved over to the corpse and pulled out the dagger of his eye with a slosh then returning to Telion's side.

"I hope they will be safe as well." He mumbled under his breathe as they all rushed to Ricky's aid. The blue eyes looked at Telion with concern, then questioned," Are you alright?" As surprised as he was that no one questioned whether Telion, the one who probably loved Ricky more than anyone else here, was okay, he made sure to change that. Just because Telion wasn't in battle didn't mean that everything was a-okay with her. Gale, of all people, knew what it was like to fear for the life of someone he loved, and that was nothing easily overcome.
