Removing her hand from her crossbow, Armesi frowned slightly and nodded to Roth. Hesitating for a moment, she eventually walked up to him and Maya. Shaking Maya's outstretched hand she smiles and spoke.

"I'm Armeshi, nice to meet you." she said

Turning to Roth, Armeshi spoke once more.

"My apologies for my bluntness, I don't spend a lot of time with people.. not since.. well, anyways, what is your profession? Killing stuff I'm guessing, or guessed rather. " She inquired

Staying to Roth's side, she was prepared to stab with her crossbow's bayonets if he attacked her. Though she had a feeling such conflict was far from likely.

Maya still seemed to be unnerved as the woman approached, crossbow still only a moment's distance from her hands, and quickly the two introduced themselves, shaking hands, the newcomer's name seeming to be Armeshi. Soon enough she turned to Kane, professing her apologies for her earlier words, standing to his side as she did such, a good position to outflank him, "My apologies for my bluntness, I don't spend a lot of time with people.. not since.. well, anyways, what is your profession? Killing stuff I'm guessing, or guessed rather. " Pondering how to answer her, Kane spoke in a tone not dissimilar to her own blunt manner,

"Well, not anymore. At least I hope not. But not to worry about the greeting," trying to change the tone, Kane tried to meet her on a ground they shared, "Being blunt is, at times, a virtue." In turn he offered his hand as he finished, "I'm Kane Roth, Armeshi, is it?"

"My apologies for my bluntness, I don't spend a lot of time with people.. not since.. well, anyways, what is your profession? Killing stuff I'm guessing, or guessed rather." Armeshi's manner of speaking annoyed Maya to no end, her bluntness, though effective, was quite rude, she thought. Here in the city, there is no reason for that. Or is there... Things were different here than they were in Wind Reach. There, people spoke what they felt, and felt what the spoke. Perhaps politics and charisma were more useful here, in the big city, where violence did not rule the streets, and the difference between the middle and lower classes was a thin line, faded and indiscernible. Kane, however, ate up her forwardness, mimicking it in his own speech.

"Well, not anymore. At least I hope not. But not to worry about the greeting. Being blunt is, at times, a virtue." This revealed something to Maya, something about his past, though she was not sure what it was exactly. She knew Sunberth was dangerous, he had said so himself. But the way he said it.... "Well, not anymore. At least I hope not." It implied he killed because he had to, or wanted to, or needed to... Perhaps it was how he made his living, in which case, it said something about him. He would not be hesitant to kill again, I don't think... Sighing, she stands waiting for the two to finish their conversation so she could make her way to her possible place of employment.

Smiling, she thanked Roth for his compliment.

Turning to Maya, she admired her read hair for a moment. A flash of comprehension flashed accross her face, and she giggled in glee. She remembered something she had learned long ago, but not completly. Graphing at the fragments of her memory she could have sworn there was a race of red-haired humans that excelled at glassblowing, if nothing else.

Opening her mouth excitedly, she splured out her words in rappid sucession; excitment and appreciation dripping from each word.

"Your red hair.. your a maker are you not? If so, I have some work for you if your interested.Don't worry, I just need someoone to craft me about four-hundred glass bolt tips. They'll each be a uniform five inches long, and made of solid glass. How much would you charge for such an order?" She inquired

She sincerly hoped her assumption would not be construed as racism, and that her offer would be accepted. The glass bolt tips would be of great asset to Armesi's fletching supplies.

As Kane finished she seemed quite pleasant, thanking him for a compliment he didn't realize he'd given, though it was still a nice gesture. Soon after though, something odd happened, as Armesi started giggling, an action Kane never truly understood, and looking to try and determine the source of such laughter he could only find that Armesi's eyes rested on Maya. Odd, quite odd indeed, and soon enough Armesi spoke, possibly helping explain the source of her excitement, though it really only confused Kane further, "Your red hair.. your a maker are you not? If so, I have some work for you if your interested.Don't worry, I just need someoone to craft me about four-hundred glass bolt tips. They'll each be a uniform five inches long, and made of solid glass. How much would you charge for such an order?" Kane blinked as she finished, the one matter that bewildered him primarily being how Armesi knew of Maya's skill, a concept even Kane had only begun to grasp. Perhaps it was a racial thing with inartans, he didn't know. The second thing that really astounded him was the simple size of the order Armesi was wanting, four hundred bolt tips was quite a load, not to mention to be crafted from glass. Still, glassworking wasn't his forte nor was he particularly knowledgeable on the subject, and so Kane stood where he was, looking with Maya waiting for her response, silently mouthing the words 'four hundred', still surprised.

Still, the three of them weren't going to accomplish much standing around, and Kane, always with an eye for the practical, made a suggestion in the lull of conversation, "Perhaps we should continue on... to the glassworks, I mean."

Standing about, she tried not to stare at Armeshi, her grey armor alien to Maya as she felt her own clothes must feel to her. She could feel herself being watched and turned to this newly met stranger.

"Your red hair.. your a maker are you not? If so, I have some work for you if your interested.Don't worry, I just need someoone to craft me about four-hundred glass bolt tips. They'll each be a uniform five inches long, and made of solid glass. How much would you charge for such an order?"

Slightly offended, she begins to say, "Now wait a-," but she lets the request finish before she responds again. "Err... Yes, I do do a bit of glassblowing, but... Well, I haven't quite gotten a forge yet. That's actually what me and Kane were about to do, he was taking me to the local glass shop to see if I might be hired... About the order, it is rather large, and it would take some time... And the cost..." Maya's voice trails off as she does some mental mathematics. The average bolt sold 10 for 1 GM. If it were made of glass, it would easily double the cost... Maybe triple, even... Four hundred divided by ten would be... fourty, times two is 80... add on some tax (At this, she silently chuckled, her face deep in concentration, not betraying her laughter) and it comes to... "One-hundred Twenty Gold Miza." She finally said, deciding that as a fair price. 400 was a rather large order, after all, and she needed compensation for the time needed to complete it. "That is, if I get hired and can use the forge..." No doubt she would have to give the owner of Inner Fire a percentage... leaving her with what, 80, 100 Gold Mizas? A fair price indeed, she should charge double. And what, get killed and get the money stolen as soon as you give them to her? A shady character, this one has the looks of a murderer. No doubt she would have no trouble feeding you to a pack of wild dogs...

"Yes, One-hundred Twenty Gold Miza. A fairer price than any you would find in the stalls. If you don't mind me asking, why do you need glass bolts?" Maya smiled, hoping it wasn't something she would rather not have known. She decided to ignore Kane's question, interested now in this stranger and her blunt, aggressive nature.

Shaking her head in mild frustration, she opened her mouth and spoke with as much tack as she could must. Hoping like hell that she sounded polite despite the fact that her patience was waining.

"No, no.. you miss-understand my request. I don't need glass bolts, I need glass bolt tips. I'm a Fletcher by trade, so I make my own bolts.. I'll be combining other rare ingredient, so the cost shall be about four-hundred gold miza's for me total when all is said and done. For just the tips I would offer you thirty gold miza's and the promise of work from me for free when needed. A craftsmen of my level doesn't come around often, you never know when you could use a good bow!" She clarified

Pausing for a moment, she debated if she should explain why she wanted glass tips, or keep that tidbit to herself. De-siding that she really had no choice in the matter, she explained.

"..and for the reason they should be glass.. Have you ever seen a glass shard shatter into someones flesh? It splinters and the splinters of glass then embed themselves.. sawing away at the wound further as the being moves... Now imagine a few inches of glass injected a couple inches into the body, shattering when it hits bone - and sloshing around with each twitch of the wounded. This would at-least triple the bleeding rate, causing the prey to die from blood loss before it gets thirty feet from you.. Can you imagine hunting with such bolts? They're would be no need to chase your wounded prey for hours.. and a much bigger blood trail to follow!" She explained, with more than a hint of excitement.

Turning to Roth she smiled and finished her part of the conversation with two more sentences.

"Off to th glass workshops I suppose.. after you two then, I'll follow behind since I have no idea where we're going." She explained casually

In truth she wanted to be behind because it gave her a strategic advantage if things went sour.. but her allibly made perfect sense, and she felt it would hold.

Kane eventually found the conversation to be beyond him, really, all this talk of bolts, bolt tips, why glass, why not... He settled on just looking around as the two spoke, Maya possibly eager to get a chance at such a hefty amount of Mizas, and Armesi soon with the explanation of why she chose glass over other metals, speaking of how it would shatter when it hit bone, how it would tear into flesh... all really pleasant things to imagine after you've woken up, really. Soon enough though her long tirade ended with an echo of his earlier suggestion, "Off to the glass workshops I suppose.. after you two then, I'll follow behind since I have no idea where we're going." Smiling, Kane finally took the opportunity to do something, having grown tired of standing about idly, and leading the small party to the glassworks, Kane thought it prudent to get to know the newcomer a bit better, considering she had a crossbow she could put to his back at any moment,

"So, Armesi, what brings you to Syliras?"

Maya, though it may have been cowardly, put Kane between herself and Armeshi. She did not want to walk near that figure, who talked so animatedly about such gruesome things. She was about to suggest that 30 Gold Mizas was a bit on the low side, but thought better of it. Thankfully, she finished her morbid speech rather quickly, and suggested they walk towards the glass-works.

Wonderful! Yet another dangerous stranger who knows your place of work! You just want to be killed, don't you? This time, she heeded her conscience, feeling Ameshi was actually a dangerous person, unlike Kane, who simply looked dangerous. Sighing, she treads along silently, listening to Armeshi's answer to Kane's question about her reasons for being in Syliras.

Following her new group of friends, she caught out of teh corner of her eye Maya's body language. Having spent many years in the wild, she quickly recognized her mood.

"Fear? Of me? How unfortunate.. This simply will not do." She thought to herself

Walking up beside Roth, she pointed at Maya's back and whispered to Roth.

"She reaks of fear.. do I come across as dangerous? I assure you I am most definitely not.." She said

Facing Maya's back once more, she decided to answer Roth's question, this time not in a whisper. That way Maya probably wouldn't figure out that they had just had a private conversation.

"Well.. I'm here to learn what I can of my skills, and move on to the darker reaches of Mizahar. You know, the forbidden lands of blood-money, necromancy, and war. I figure if I learn all that I can in the lands of peace first, I'll be able to defend myself while hunting the kings that rule the lands of evil." She explained
