While Sylira is by far the most civilized region of Mizahar, countless surprises and encounters await the traveler in its rural wilderness. Called the Wildlands, Syliran's wilderness is comprised of gradual rolling hills in the south that become deep wilderness in the north. Ruins abound throughout the wildlands, and only the well-marked roads are safe.

Razkar had long ago learned that while a male's pleasure was easily gained, accomplishing the same fro a female was... nuanced. Unwilling to sate himself so quickly, the Myrian was fighting a war within his own body even as he pleasured hers, until finally he felt her body spasm in his arms, heard the words tumble breathlessly, a breath away from pain-

-and with a growl he decided that now he could indulge himself.

Water turned to foam around him as he lurched upward, the pond shallow enough near the shore from him to rise up like some scarred leviathan. His hands became a rush of furious movement, crushing her bare, soaking boy to his as he bruised her lips with a kiss-

-feeling that lightning, that lust, overpowering him as much as it was her. The desire bottled up for days was given sweet release and even touching her seemed to send new shockwaves straight to that hardness between his legs.

And now, he was determined to use it.

Edreina gasped lightly as the Myrian picked her up, hands cupped under her arse, weight far less in the water than it would be in the open air. His lips were still crushed to his, tongues tangled and he knew with one grind of their hips she was ready for him-

-filling her with one thrust-

-and both of their faces flew apart, heads arched backwards as that longed for sensation was rekindled again. Memories of the geysers in the Bronze Woods returned to him, that first, almost-sacred time in that place much like this one...

Peace midst the chaos.

Razkar gasped and panted as if he'd run or miles over hills and mountains. He could feel her throbbing and pulsing around him, every slide up and into her birthing fresh dimensions of eroticism... and that was a pleasant way of putting it. He felt his knees weaken and tottered to the shore, bringing them both down without breaking bones, at least, pressing his lips to hers again, body stiff and scorching atop hers, her legs wrapped around his waist, pulling tight, guiding him deeper-

"M... Mistress...!"

The last word was hissed out almost like a Dhani, guttural language even more so when choked with ecstasy, rolling his hips to savor as much of her as he could. Water sloshed and frothed around them, lapping waves become frantic splashes as he started to move faster, self-control vanishing. All sense of... romance, as it were, was fading fast, overriden by a simple, primal urge.

Take her. Claim her. In the simplest, most carnal way you know.

Razkar's teeth again and his mouth found her pulse point, sucking greedily as his hardness impaled her again.

Razkar has been cursed by Yahal, and as such finds little acceptance from others; they will instinctively view him as being deceptive and traitorous. However, when close to one blessed by Yahal, the effect is negated. The curse is etched onto his left pectoral, and viewing the mark causes others to feel dirty and unclean.

Peace Midst The Chaos (Edreina)

The strength of the kiss was dizzying, it was a fresh dose of a narcotic to one who had abstained for days upon days all for the sake of that high; Edreina found herself addicted all over again. Her breath came in a sigh of pure ecstasy as their lips came together and their bodies arched to meld as a single entity. Every touch, every kiss, they sent little waves of pleasure dancing across her skin and into her soul, deep down into her core. It was so wonderful to have him close once again, to be able to be his... No more and no less.

As Razkar lifted her, she slid her arms up and around his neck, legs wrapping gently about his waist as she unconsciously urged him closer. Desire clogged her throat, causing her breath to hitch for an instant as a shape ever so familiar rested against her leg. It was so painfully close... her body flexed emptily at the sensation, longing sending a tremble through her legs. She threw herself back into the kiss with gusto, sliding one hand up into his hair, knotting it between her slim fingers and urging him closer despite the fact that only breath parted them.

Their joining was just as beautiful as she remembered. Well, beauty was entirely relative to one's opinion. However, in that instant, Edreina's idea of beauty was two people who loved one another joining themselves, mind and body, in the most intimate way; pleasure begot pleasure in their union, passion spurred on passion. Her heart thundered in her ears as she suddenly found each throb of her womanhood meeting sweet resistance; her head tilted back and her lips parted in a long, low moan as he took his time filling her, stretching her to capacity. It was a wonderful feeling, really, to be occupied by one you love; they are always in your thoughts, might as well share your body as well.

Had they fallen or had the world around them been shaken by such passion? That word, so guttural and so frequently uttered during their lovemaking, but Edreina rarely had the presence of mind to inquire about its meaning nor the courage to shrug off her blush and ask him afterwards. In any case, it registered with Edreina in a most primal manner, causing her body to arch and a soft yet strained sound to escape her lips. The motions of his muscled frame changed slowly, evolved into something rough and frantic with need; the Svefra's lean figure morphed to fit, curving and altering her own body to better fit against him, to feel him as hers.

Her end was nearly found as Razkar toyed with her pulse point, knowing good and well what effect such torment had upon his lover and using it to his advantage. For a tick, her head lolled back and her body tensed hungrily, breath going sharp as her pulse rose and adrenaline flooded her veins. There was something ever so thrilling about the sensation of his sharpened teeth resting upon her throat, knowing how greatly she had to trust him in order to afford him such liberties. Each time he bit ever so carefully or managed to just skim the tips of his teeth over her skin, she was reminded of the bond that they shared. What they were doing was so much more than petching - though the animalistic intensity with which they applied themselves could have been misleading - it was lovemaking at its finest.

In the way that she was his, he was also hers. Her lips found his neck, sliding along the strong line of his jaw, down along his throbbing throat, to the hollow of his collarbone, out and alone the slim ridge until she came to the meatier part where his neck and shoulder met. The muscle there was defined from years of swordplay - not that the rest of him was not equally impressive - but sensitive to her touch. Light nips and kisses were placed along his skin until she got a feeling of which spot would make his tick that day. When finally it was found, she bit him roughly, for this was the only time that she could assert herself as his equal.

In that hazed state, she cared not of the marks that her bites might have left, nor the furrows in his back plowed by her fingertips. She was all but overcome with the empowering feeling that came with being able to make Razkar feel something, be at her mercy in some way. It was a heady feeling better than any tobacco tasted by the Svefra. Each twist of her hips, each press of her lips, she felt how they made her lover weak in the knees, quick in breath, and low in growl. Each reaction to something she did only spurred the Svefra on, mingling pleasure and pain in a way she had never known until laying with a Myrian.

Until laying with her Myrian...

Peace Midst The Chaos (Edreina)

The longer they spent grinding, gasping and sliding wet flesh on wet flesh, the more civilization seemed to vanish from them. Even the pretense of it was being stripped away as they forgot they were part of a convoy, a quasi-military force... even cultures beyond themselves.

The world shrank to Edreina, Razkar and the wilderness that watched in silent indifference around them.

The Myrian growled as a smile crossed his face. How often he had such a fancy, and how revealing it was. He needed naught but Edreina, and the means to provide for them both... whether that be food, water... or pleasure. And as her grip around his waist tightened again, her lips ground against his throat and he felt the nip of her little teeth, he mused she provided for him, too.

Another snarl erupted from his throat and he ripped away from her, still throbbing between her legs but his torso rearing up, pulling her legs free-

-and jerking her around quickly, brutally, until her knees pressed into the soft, wet sand and her hands did likewise, her body bent over-

-gasping as Razkar gripped her hips, hardness faster inside her now, animal passion given free rein in a truly "animal" position, pumping back and forth with his back arched, growling, grunting...

Until something between a cry of ecstasy and a roar of triumph burst from his throat and he shattered inside her, wordless exclamation echoing around the woods and water and hills like the shadow of some ancient god's oath now lost to time.

Flowery prose aside, Edreina was not in much of a position to get poetical about much at all. She felt a sweating, chest-heaving form half-fall against her back, though... voice a deep, bass growl of carnal exhaustion... a tone she knew and loved, and he knew thus as well...

"Have bells before we need to return, female... still fish to catch..." The male's hand slid around her waist and found the dripping prize at the center of it, sadistically stroking her even as her body bucked and spasmed, already driven to the edge, "... and who knows when we get chance again... hmm?"

Peace Midst The Chaos (Edreina)

The Svefra, who usually hated to be dirty, found herself unable to give even a single damn about the fact that her elbows and knees were sinking into the sandy earth. As Razkar's hips met her rump again and again, she found herself only able to focus upon a single piece of her being and the feelings that filled it. Each thrust, each twist was met with a cry of ecstasy that flew from parted lips. Her head tilted back so that her braid coiled oddly against her pale, freckled back. Chimes ago she had ceased bothering with trying to keep her eyes shut as her vision was consumed with black orbs and twinkling stars.

It had been far too long.

A gasp tumbled from her lips as warmth bloomed within her, body convulsing around him. So close. Her breath trembled ever so gently as she felt him adjust over her. But, the exhale was brought back in sharply as his hand found her core, his growling voice her ear. She shivered at the sound of it, at the feeling of his lips so close to her ear, and that only exacerbated her quickened her approach to the end. Her back arched deeply, allowing her to rest her head back on his shoulder as he continued his torment.'

"R... Raz!" Something deep within her belly was coiling, tightening, making the muscles of her hips and her legs grow taut. Each throb of her womanhood around his lingering counterpart seemed to be more intense, following the last even more closely than its predecessor. Her breath grew sharp, quick, and each sound higher than the last as finally the sensation reached its peak and her entire slender figure went taut, her breath halted, her lips parted in a silent cry. After that instant, any further toying from her lover would cause her to convulse, gasping and crying out as her body was pushed to its limit.

When finally he relented, she would collapse forward onto the sand, body limp and trembling. Her breath, though quick and laborious, slid through grinning lips. Such a blissful smile was marred only by the way that her mouth curved oddly as her cheek was firmly pressed against the cool sand.

It could have been bells or chimes, she did not know. All energy drained out of her when the two of them slumped down onto the cool, wet sand, even the Myrian's boundless, animal drive stumbling and panting at her ear. All became darkness and the lapping of waves that shed been raised with... and then...

The male wanted her to wake to the aroma of the familiar and the beloved. To that end, as he watched the dark and shimmering figures gliding to and fro beneath the waves... Razkar could only think of one way to go.

So it was that when Edreina woke, it was first with her ears. The sound of a bow twanging; something small and fast piercing the water's surface with sharp, abrupt splashing. Muted muttering in a savage tongue... then the sound of crackling fire-

-and the smell of grilling fish caressed her nose, and bought her eyes open to-

"Hello again..."

Razkar smiled over the top of his notched arrow, dark eyes glittering with mirth and affection. Behind him, on the shore of Priskil's lake, a stone-ringed fire was burning merrily, a trio of dead fish skewered on arrows around it... one of them dangling over the flame, scales charring and lifeless eyes gently boiling... but the aroma...

"Thought that would be a good waking..." The warrior murmured over his arrow, not wanting to scare the gently swishing, never-blinking fourth course a few feet away. It had been nearly ten chimes, and now he was close enough for his shot. "... and this... is much easier... than using rod-"

The arrow flew free as naught but his fingers moved, going from curled to straightened and releasing the flat-headed projectile into the water, so fast and sure that there was nary a ripple as it sped towards-

"Shyke!"

-a very agile fish, who displayed that stunning speed all his kind seemed to represent and rocketed away with a single swish of his fin, vanishing into deeper water. The Myrian continued his muttering as he stomped through the warm, knee-deep water to retrieve his arrow.

"Well... I am still hardly a master with the bow... but all is practice..."

Peace Midst The Chaos (Edreina)

The sound of water lapping at the shore, the pungent aroma of fish charring over an open flame, they convinced the waking Svefra that she was back home, that all of it had been a dream. Her cheek rubbed at the sand, softening it as she curled in on herself, warmed by Syna's light, eager to continue her catnap. As she adjusted herself, there was a familiar, bone-reaching soreness in her limbs. Fragments of the dream flitted through her mind; it had not been the first time that she dreamt of Razkar in such a way, and now that he had left for Syliras, that was all that she would have.

Gutteral curses - not the Fratavan ones she had been expecting from Surai - disturbed the serenity of her waking dreams, jolting her into an upright position. Red hair, mused and messy from sleep, caught the breeze as she moved, slowing it so that each tendril danced for a tick before stilling. Her braid had been ruined. Ignoring, or perhaps not even noticing, her own nudity, the Svefra cocked her head at Razkar and started to pick apart the knotted mess with her fingers. He greeted her and she smiled softly, still radiating a gentle glow of satisfaction. Long, they had been forced to wait to enjoy the passion of one another's arms, but it had been worth it. "Hello, again..." she echoed, voice curling in the smile of her lips.

"It was a comforting waking," she agreed, frowning gently as her fingers found a stubborn tangle. "Reminded me of home for a tick." Was that longing coloring her voice? Surely not. Everything she could ever need - and want - lay before her. Mirth bubbled up from her lips as she caught a rare glimpse of Razkar actually failing at something.

"You'll be a master at that as well, before long, ye always manage to," she said, standing. Again, the crystal-clear liquid swirled around her ankles as she moved towards her lover. When finally she reached him, she wrapped her arms about his midsection so that one hand rested upon the chiseled, flat expanse of his stomach and the other upon his broad chest, thumb tracing a scar as her mind fixated upon the difference in texture. Her sand-cooled cheek was placed gently against his sun-warmed back, color and temperature creating a clash in reality. "We should probably head back soon..." her voice was soft, but there was no mistaking her disappointment. "But... I feel like the caravan should come here for a night... There are many that would take comfort in its serenity."

Her breath traipsed across his back as she sighed, eyelashes alighting upon his tough-skin for but an instant. The Svefra knew that her Myrian lover was not the most physically affectionate creature in existence, and she understood why. But, there were times when she felt the compulsion to show him that she was there for him, however he needed her to be. This vacation from their ruse had given them the chance to reaffirm their bonds in one way, her gentle hug did so for her in another. Almost reluctantly, she took a step back and smiled up at him. "We'll eat and then we will leave, yes?" It took everything in her willowy frame to keep sarcasm from dripping into her next words: "I'm sure whatever you've cooked will be delicious."

"You'll be a master at that as well, before long, ye always manage to."

Razkar just grunted, resisting the urge to preen and agree with her. She was probably right, but arrogance was not becoming for a warrior... even if he was before a barbarian. But when he felt those soft and slender arms around him, raising goosebumps wherever they touched, some smiling part of him admitted he could no longer regard her as his lesser.

The male sighed into her touch, bow lowering, eyes closing... and as if on its own accord his hand clasped the one over his chest.

"We should probably head back soon. But... I feel like the caravan should come here for a night. There are many that would take comfort in its serenity."

Days later, when Albrecht had queried him as to where to make rest for the caravan, those words came back to Razkar. Jealous though he was of their little refuge off the Kabrin Road, he could not refute the wisdom of her words. If the weary mass of humanity could take such solace from the Pond as they did, it would be a boon to all.

"Yes... I think you are right..."

Edreina's touch left him and the male felt a twinge of... was it fear? No, there was not the trembling uncertainty that went with that. It was... loss. Even from the simple act of taking her hands from his body left him... cold.

Then she went and spoke, of course.

"We'll eat and then we will leave, yes? I'm sure whatever you've cooked will be delicious."

Razkar's senses were sharpened past what the vast majority of humans were. His sight and smell, his ears and taste, all were as finely tuned as any predator you could find in the Bronze Woods (the mortal ones, anyway). That said, when it came to the myriad of nuances in the spoken word, he was still learning...

... and did he detect a trace of incredulity on the smiling Svefra's lips?

"Oh, so, Sea Walker knows better than the savages, hmm?" There was a swoosh of muscled feet through still waters and then the Svefra squealed in surprise, equally-muscled arms lifting her up and over the savage's shoulder. "I will feed you by hand, female, and you will eat those words as well!"

Razkar grinned as he stomped with his "captive" towards the merry little fire and the sizzling courses above it.

Raz, I think it's time I put this issue forward. You should avoid modding your thread partners, especially expressions and behaviour, so much even if they agreed to it because they know their character best, they would know how to react.

Please, it's common courtesy.

Edri, that's an innovative use of high lung-capacity, I have to admit. He... hehe.

That aside, good thread, guys. :)
