Double Double, Toil and Trouble (Aka, Evalin)

Tinnok could roughly make out Evalin's words, but what she couldn't quite grasp, the strange female's tone and gaze made up for and explained in abundance. She was disappointed she couldn't kill her...couldn't do something to her, something Tinnok was sure was repulsive.

To Aka's question she had no answer. The most accurate and factual one in this scenario was that she was looking to die. That is what it would seem anyway, both races that coursed through her veins wanted her dead with the few exceptions, and all that was back here...was death.

But she did not come to die, simply to close the book on one last person she loved, who had no idea what had happened to her a season previously. She opened her mouth, wondering if she should say the truth or keep it to herself.

"To say goodbye." She said simply, it was the truth, and after this time...there would be no returning, that much she was certain of. To who or what, well Aka could leave that up to her and her...servant's imagination.

Seeing as the immediate danger was over, Tinnok half walked, half limped to the water. If the creature said that thing would not return, she would believe her...she seemed to know much and more about it, to the half breed's chagrin. She bent and scooped the slick muddy earth and began packing it over the burns on her legs and arms. She had no herbs that helped with burns, but keeping them as cool and comfortable as possible would help somewhat come the morn.

"Too far go to Zinrah in night." Tinnok stated. Make camp here or in jungle?" She glanced upwards at the tree in which her belongings were stored and stepped toward it. Here she closed her eyes for a moment, reaching deep within to pull at the magical essence within she was slowly becoming accustomed to. It was like...well not like anything she could compare readily. Not like slipping into comfortable clothes, more like a memory you didn't even remember having until it was there within you, but it was also like the most elaborate of stretches, something you had to practice to make sure it didn't get out of shape.

Either was, she willed that force within her to flow out from her center weaving over muscles and beneath skin, slowly, laboriously to her fingers and toes, wherein her nails began to thicken and lengthen into claws more appropriate for climbing. Hooked and sharp, Tinnok took a tick to check her work, then with a wince of sore burned legs began to climb up to her supplies, hand over hand, making sure she had a good grip into the bark before pulling her weight up, falling in front of that monster would be embarrassing to say the least...

Double Double, Toil and Trouble (Aka, Evalin)

"Huh... I ssse..." No, the Viper didn't really 'see', she didn't know much about Tinnok nor her family or friends aside from her dealings with Mamoru, and her desire to 'say goodbye' might mean many things, anything really, it could be saying goodbye to her old home, to someone she knew, or to nature in general, whatever the case, one thing for sure, Tinnok wasn't here to meet her, let alone Evalin. Deciding it wouldn't be wise to prod at Tinnok's business, as they already had a shaky relationship, Aka waved it off as if saying 'whatever' as she went to pick up her clothes then quickly put it on. The Viper wasn't as explodingly bratty and impulsive like before, a sign of her wisdom growing as she gained more and more power in Zinrah. It came by itself, especially after dealing with persons such as Aspia, Senka, and Mamoru.

"..." Now, Aka noticed the burns on Tinnok's hands and legs, she felt a pang of guilt, it was her deeds, who else? It couldn't be the monster as Aka was sure it was aquatic in nature, however, her pride and personality prevented her from running to Tinnok's side and asking as if she was alright, instead, Aka walked up to Tinnok, raising her right hand as she hesitated to speak, "He-..." But before she could utter an audible word, Tinnok was already climbing a tall tree with great expertise, and Aka was awed, truly awed, for a bulky - compared to her - woman like her, Tinnok outmatched Aka's acrobatic abilities, it was quite an achievement in Aka's eyes. No wonder she could live all alone out here in the jungle.

In a short moment, Tinnok was a mere small figure high up in the trees, the Viper clenched her fists as she tilted her head down to look at Evalin, for some reason, she could feel emotions brimming with hostility from both beings, she assumed it was at each other, they were at odds. Deciding to trust her heart, Aka walked to Evalin then promptly hugged the Nuit, putting her chin on the sorceress' shoulder, "Alright, let'sss go home..." She whispered into Eva's ear, managing to nibble at her earlobe.

Aka reluctantly wanted to say good-bye at the half-breed, but it was likely she couldn't hear her anyway. Her right hand reached out to tightly grasp at Evalin's left as the Viper urged her to walk away, away from this terrible basin with its eldritch denizens, reimancy be damned, she would practice water manipulation in the safety of the nest, but of course, she had a few pleasant exhanges due with that suave male Dhani.

Sekusepera... you are a terrible advisor.

OOCAlright, I think this should be the last rotation. I will post it for grading once you guys made your last replies.

It has been a honor to thread with you both, thank you.

But if you want to continue, then I'm game as well! :D

Important Note: Aka is currently pregnant (with eggs, being a Dhani) at the moment and as such, her belly is slightly bulging and she moves noticeably slower than usual.

Double Double, Toil and Trouble (Aka, Evalin)

Evalin tilted her head back to watch Tinnok climb up the tree as easily as Evalin might walk across the ground. Frowning, Evalin tried to look closer, How think you she does it my dear-- She paused the thought as she remembered. She was alone now. There was no guiding voice in her mind any longer. Her soul was empty.

Her frown deepened, though thankfully there was a distraction in the form of Aka whispering in her ear to take her mind off of the darker ponderings. Evalin reached up and gently petted Aka's head, her eyes still staring up at Tinnok, "As you wish Mistress. The night shall not hinder our return in the least..." Evalin felt a slight disappointment, but she would turn her back on the half breed without a second glance, prepared to follow Aka wherever she wished to go.

OOCI think this is a good length :). Much longer and it will be a pain for the grader haha. We can do a sequel thread later on this season, or early next season as well :)

Wretched Aura: As a Wretched One Evalin possesses an unnatural aura about her that causes unease in those who get too close. It can come as a prickle of the hair on the back of the neck, a sense of 'wrongness' about her. How people experience it is different depending on their personality and how they handle the unnatural and unknown. Animals tend to become more agitated, more easily sensing how wrong Evalin is and often avoiding contact with her.

Double Double, Toil and Trouble (Aka, Evalin)

She felt her breath getting heavy, bits of already dried mud peeling off and falling in dusty spirals to the ground below when she noticed that Katherine and Aka were departing. She saw Aka look up, almost to say something, then turn away and dissappear into the foliage. Tinnok opened her mouth, but wasn't sure what she would say if she even could. Instead she crawled into hding place along with her things and closed her eyes, pulled the djed back into her body, feeling the magical energy seep out of her fingernails and toes and travel back within. She drew in deep long breaths and tried to visualize a calm pond, clear and shining without a single ripple on its surface. This technique was hard with so much that had happened.

Who was the strange woman, what was Aka doing with her, and what had that creature been? Would she see Aka again in these strange circumstances they both seemed to find out of hand? A long frustrated breath escaped her nostrils and she forced the thoughts away going back to the cool pond. She could think on this another time, for now...it was time to clear the mind, time revealed all and that is what she would rely on to determine the next fateful encounter...

Thanks for the thread guys, this was a fun introduction for them all :D

Notes :
This was a nice meeting thread. The interaction and reaction between both Tinnok and Evalin was pretty awesome. The intensity written between the lines threw me off balance a little. I swear, Tinnok is just bad arse all around and I don't know why. That whole "grab the dagger instinctually" thing is just pretty cool. And Evalin, great job on standing up to Tsenrika even if it did put her mistress in harms way! I look forward to further quarrels between all of you guys. :)

If you have any issues with your grade, don't hesitate to send me a private message!
