[Goss' vBlog] Warning: Bad Videos and Bad Hair.

Postby Timothy Mered on June 11th, 2014, 2:34 am

I would love to help out!

Obviously I don't meet the posting requirements yet and I will have to familiarize myself with the lore etc. But the main thing is, is that I'd be happy to help out. I've played as a other character here before and I know how rewarding it is to get a grade.

I also think Mizahar is just plain awesome in it's storytelling. The sheer quality of the posts on this site never fail to amaze me. Such depth, so many interesting characters!

So yeah, for now I will remain on the sideline and get to know the ins and outs of Mizahar. I will surely apply to become a Grader as soon as I feel up to the task!

A big hug and lots of love to the amazing Mizahar staff for their time, dedication, and sheer awesomeness! :D

Edit: Gossamer, I wish all the best for your mother and hope she will recover soon! I know how big of a deal cancer can be. I feel you.

I hate trends on Miz. But you guys wanted videos on pronunciation so I'm doing them. The first one is uploaded now on regions and city name. I'll then break it down into race, and perhaps one on the Gods. Am I missing anything you wanted pronounced? And was there anything else you wanted a video on?

Right off the bat I learned a new thing, I did not realize Navre was pronounce Nah-vree, I always thought of it as Nahv-er, don't ask me why, it doesn't make much sense.

Modge podge is the best! It's like the distilled essence of a crafters soul in a tub/bottle. I can't go to the scrap book paper section of craft stores anymore. I always buy sheets and I don't use them. I just want them because they're gorgeous D:

Site Drama

I was really tired in this video. I was trying to say Lhex, not Leth, in regards to Mirage and I's talk.

[Goss' vBlog] Much Ado About Mizahar

Lol I love the American accent.. I pronounce the Miz city/region names differently!

On a serious note, however... yeah, I got the PM... as you might expect, and though I never had a problem with the player personally, you know I have other people who seem to be monopolising my time with their stupid OOC issues when I remind them of how Ravok works IC. This is really in response to the end of your video, with the general discussion about storytellers.

I think half the issue is that players forget we have lives, and jobs. And, more importantly, we have OTHER players who want attention too. I spend quite a lot of time on site, but most wouldn't know it for the amount of posts I make - threads are waiting for responses, and my grading queue is building up but I never have time because I spend an unreasonable amount of time working with (for) players insisting on making things harder for themselves and me.

Now, I say 'players' when I really only mean one or two. The rest, I'm more than happy to fling long PMs at to help them and sometimes I laugh at the players who apologise for messaging me too much, because it proves they have absolutely no idea what we mean when we talk about "mod-hogs"... Because the ones who apologise are almost definitely not intruding on my time... They're too self-aware to do that! STs are here to help, so we expect to be inundated with PMs, but there is a limit, especially when it becomes an OOC problem.

Very helpful video, hope people take away something from it.
