[Goss'vblog] Gossamer Discusses Lakan and Suvai (By Request)

Postby Imass on January 7th, 2013, 6:25 am

This is awesome, thanks for the video. I was under the impression we could only have one Lakan in the Akalak's life and I also didn't know they could feel where their lakan is. I am such a noob!

Thanks again
Imass

Ps... can you expand on lakan and suvai combat? What would be typical training like and how is it used in fights? Does the honor the lakan represents translate int combat (I.e would an akalak ever use the lakan for dishonorable acts) ? What happens if the lakan is taken away forcibly? And above all how do you make it specifically, how do they infuse a piece of their soul in there?

[Goss'vblog] Gossamer Discusses Lakan and Suvai (By Request)

Postby Phoenix on January 7th, 2013, 6:28 am

I love this video because I honestly didn't know anything about either of these weapons.

What I would really like to hear you talk about is Konti. And if players still play them the way you envisioned them when you created them, because I see a lot of anime Knoti women that probably have never swam in their lives and probably dont even have scales.

Your thoughts, please! :D

Thanks. :) When I get a few more questions I probably make a response video or a follow up. Although the Combat Examples might involve using props.

Thanks for this video. I especially like how I finally have a definite idea of how a suvai looks like. ;)

Also... dog. Argh. Ahhh. ADORABLE.

[Goss'vblog] Gossamer Discusses Lakan and Suvai (By Request)

I second Nira'lia about the dog. Very adorable. :)

I learned a lot about the Lakan and the Suvai. In fact, I was really wondering about the Suvai and what all it could do. Thank you for the explanation of how poisonous it is, that is very interesting indeed. 10-15 min with a little scratch. Impressive ^.^ Though I guess some snake and spider bites are sort of like that too, cept more deadly... Now Im going off into rant-world.

Anyways, nice video, very informative. I really liked learning about the cultural weapons and think they are really amazing, both the Lakan and the Suvai are super cool.

Props! If you use props in the next video and give a demo of fighting with them... Oh gosh, that is going to be too great not to watch.

Haha, I love the video. I really liked your wildlife stories (I like stories in general. Im such a child haha) and travel time explanations were good too. I hope when you do that project of yours started back up that it doest fickle out again. That Travel Times project would be amazing and answer so many common questions, it was a good thing.

[Goss' vBlog] Yes That's My Real Hair.

Postby Gossamer on January 8th, 2013, 7:39 pm

I consolidated my videos here. Feel free to make requests in this thread. I didn't want to spam the Youtube/vBlogs forum with multiple videos. And yes, that's my real hair. I'll get it hacked off soon so as to prove to you it was indeed real and then you can watch it grow back rapid fire like a that playdough dude. Sorry about rambling on about Fish and Game stuff. That's kinda my thing. Well, there's a lot of things that are my thing, so I'll just blanket apologize now for awful videos, weird angles, zero talent filming things and various interruptions by animals and vague stares off into the distance.

Jules says they get better over time. I don't believe her. :P

Awesome, I updated the links on the Kont/Akalak pages to reflect the recent change in location of the videos (since the original links no longer work...). This is a good idea, to have them all in one thread. :) Good job!

[Goss' vBlog] Warning: Bad Videos and Bad Hair.

Postby Gossamer on January 8th, 2013, 7:52 pm

Sorry Rayage! I promise I'll stop moving things around. I didn't think about broken links. I think Tarot is consolidating his videos too into one thread so be forewarned there as well.
