Spring 27th 516AV
Early Morning
Early Morning
Morning came all too quickly, Seirei's labor had been hard, and a everyone had kept a close eye on her. There were things to be done though, as word of the children spread through the city.
Naiya put tea on, first stirring the fire inside the pavilion, so that she could hear if Seirei needed anything, Lukar and Lira were close by, being watched by everyone involved. Naiya sprinkled kindling onto the wood already there, helping the flames to lick up around the branches so that it would catch more quickly.
She filled a pot with water from their skeins, letting it sit happily in the flame. She sprinkled mint, speedwell, and lavender into the pot, hoping the combination would both help Seirei heal and keep things around the pavilion somewhat calm.
People would come soon to give their blessings, and Naiya was hardly ready. With such a small pavilion they would hardly have the things they needed to entertain people. She had to assume that tea and platters of cheese would be enough, and she could only hope she would have enough time to wash mugs so she had enough for the visitors.
She spared a quick glance at Taerin, a strained happiness in her body as she silently asked her to mind the children alone for a few moments. The other woman nodded, and Naiya ducked into the next room, her voice gentle as she sought her sister.
"Seirei?" She whispered, not wanting to wake her if she happened to be sleeping.
