~Description~


Much has changed for Naiya in the past seasons, and the changes have hardened her in more ways than one. Her copper hair still falls in soft waves to her hips, but the red mass is littered with wraps and braids documenting the joys and losses of the past year. She has aged more than her share in that seasons that have past, lines of tension and worry mar her brow and pull her lips downward. Hardship and loss have changed her mind equally as much as her features. She has become less the open welcoming woman, and more fierce, determined to do whatever it takes to keep herself and her family safe.

The changes in her life had led her to more responsibility and more risk, taking on challenges that she might not have were her husband there to lend his hand toward their safety. As a result she finds herself often in situations that leave her injured, but she is careful not to take on too much risk alone. She has scars marked across a number of places on her body, most notably the four claw marks that drag from her right shoulder to her left collarbone, but they are not her only scars, a bite mark on her calf, eight punctures on her sides, three jagged claws down her left forearm scratches on her neck, and remnants of a number of smaller injuries litter her tanned skin.

ImageThe fitness of a drykas shapes her form, hardening her body with lean muscle. The shaping of which makes her more striking than pretty, her features sharp, strong, unsoftened by a life of leisure. She falls a medium height, nearing five and a half feet, nearly a foot shorter than her husband.

Decorating her body further are piercings in her ears, hung with gems that glint the green color that flashes in Shahar's eyes. Her wrists both hold the family windmark, the left one straight and clear, a claim to her family through the shared band of the bracelet. ImageThe other a replacement of her personal windmark, the original washed away in a healing pool.

Also marking her skin is the shimmering green mark of Cheva, an addition that shapes her current mindset, reminding her of her husband's life, despite his current absence. The mark evokes each of the members of the marriage, like wind through grass and feathers, ensnared by a touch of the burning fire of passion shared between them. The mark is tucked against the curve of her neck, often obscured by her hair, but when she pulls the mass of red back, she makes no effort to hide it. She feels no need to hide any of the marks on her body, each of them an addition that has shaped her.

Her strider has grown strong with age, his attitude matched to his rider, despite having been nearly opposite of the meek girl that he originally bonded. The stallion is bold, assertive, and protective of his family, not unlike Naiya is now. She fights for her family above anything else, and anyone or anything that challenges that safety is no friend of hers.

Shai has his father's eyes, warm brown, the hint of his mother dancing as flecks of green like new growth on a tree. His hair was quite dark at first, but grew in a mix between his mother's red and father's brown.

Naiya's constant companion is her strider, the willful creature is her other half, reminding her to be playful and strong. He has never shied from struggle, fighing beside Naiya whenever there is need. His battles beside his redheaded companion have not left him unmarked, accumulating scars across his hide. The scars of a fight with zith mark Wildfire's legs and shoulder and the wide scratches from a tussle with a grass bear mark the point of his hip nearly to his thigh.

Winter 513 AV - Spring 514 AV :
After making some new friends in the fall, Rue found herself making plans in opposition to her Pavilion's desires. More than anything it was her father who took offense. It took only a few nonidle threats not only to Rue, but to her siblings to force Rue to heed her father's words. This however displeased her father who took it upon himself to beat the rebellion out of her in a more literal sense.

A broken spirit ceases to fight, and so the time found Rue taking up more wifely duties, cooking and cleaning over training and riding, her freetime was all but naught in the cool months. Only when the Summer came bringing it's oppressive heat did her father find Rue submissive enough to take back some of her freedom.
