Siriana's eyes were filled with sorrow and pity as Alenias pleaded with her. She knew all too well the sting of losing a loved one, but could not imagine the pain that Alenias was going through. From what she understood, the bond of a Kelvic was as strong, if not more so, as that of true love, and to have their bond broken by death was the worst pain a Kelvic could go through. She cared for Treanus as well, but to Alenias it was like having a part of herself torn out. Siriana wrapped her arms around Alenias in a comforting embrace, speaking softly. "You live, Alenias, you live..." After a while she let Alenias go, stepping back and looking into her eyes. "Treanus cared for you deeply. He would have wanted you to live your life to it's fullest. The pain will always be there, and you will never forget him, but you must go on." Siriana turned to Cailan, engaging him in private discussion. If Alenias chose to look around she would find the cabin lightly stocked with a few basic supplies, including trail rations and water. There were logs for a fireplace, though the smoke from the chimney might attract unwanted attention, and there were bunk beds against the far wall. After finishing her discussion Siriana turned her attention back to Alenias. "We'll rest here for the night, but in the morning we should leave. The longer we stay here the more likely we are to be discovered." They were not discovered, and the night passed by relatively peacefully even if those trying to rest were not at peace. Only once was there a disturbance when they heard shouts not far away. All three inside waited in tense silence, dreading discovery, but the voices seemed to be moving in the opposite direction and it wasn't long before they disappeared completely. Cailan left before the sun was in the sky, taking the dagger with him and freeing them of it's burden. Once both Siriana and Alenias had risen they said their goodbye before parting ways. "Alenias, it was a pleasure to finally meet you.. I wish it had been under different circumstances. ..As I said before, if you ever need anything at all, or just need someone to talk to.. you know where to find me." Before they left Siriana handed Alenias a final parting gift, a small pouch filled with jingling "shinies". "It's not much, and I know it won't do anything to ease the pain in your heart, but hopefully this will make things easier until you can figure out what you're going to do. Goodbye, Alenias, until we meet again. May the light always shine upon your path." Siriana left on foot and would not object if Alenias chose to walk with her, but Alenias could always fly home if she wanted to. Doing so might be difficult, however, having to carry a sack of coins, and she would have to rest often. Either way the trip home was uneventful, and none of the guards seemed any more suspicious of them than usual when Alenias finally made it back to Ravok. By foot she and Siriana would spot the occasional sign of the search from the night before, though there seemed to be no one in the area anymore. By air Alenias would spot a small group of men clad in black patrolling the edge of the forest, though whether they were searching for her or it was just a routine patrol Alenias could not be certain. With Treanus dead, Alenias was now alone and left to fend for herself. His brother was still out there, but for the moment it seemed Alenias was safe... OOCThe adventure ends here, but if you wish to ask Siriana any questions or anything before we end the thread feel free to do so and I will answer. Or if you are ready just put up a final post and I'll grade the thread. |
